Every Believer Can Hear God

Welcome to Power Hour where we believe it is God's will for you to be well.
Speaker A:I'm your host, Kylie Terradez and this podcast is created from the weekly live streams that I do every Thursday at 1pm Mountain time.

Speaker A:So let's just take a moment and pray before we get into the word.
Speaker A:Father God, thank you that we get to do this.
Speaker A:Thank you that we get to be here today.
Speaker A:Thank you that technology is awesome, that it's working seamlessly by faith for us.
Speaker A:And thank you Lord that you give us ears to hear, a mind to understand and a heart to receive everything you have for us.
Speaker A:In Jesus name, amen.
Speaker A:Okay, so hearing from God, you know, this is last week we were talking about ministering to other people and how when, when we minister to other people, the power of God flows through us through.
Speaker A:And so if we're sick, ministering to other people is actually really cool because it's a way to activate the power of God flowing through you to somebody else.
Speaker A:Whereas at the same time you don't have to overcome natural unbelief or physical symptoms in your own body when you pray for somebody else, like when the sickness is in your body.
Speaker B:We've seen this lots of times in conferences when we had prayer ministers and they said to us, I'm not sure if I can be a prayer minister because I'm still struggling with sickness myself.
Speaker B:And we correct them.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:So you don't have to be perfect to be able to minister.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:It's the Lord that ministers through you.
Speaker B:But we've seen lots of people sick praying for someone else who's sick on a prayer line and they both get healed, I mean a number of times.
Speaker A:So you know, this whole module, we're now in the third module really of, of Heal Healing on Power Academy.
Speaker A:And so we are more outward focused.
Speaker A:You know, one of the things that sickness does is it makes you look very introvertedly.
Speaker A:You know, the sicknesses itself comes from the enemy.
Speaker A:It's a fruit of the enemy and bears his character, nature and all of his hallmarks.
Speaker A:So you know, sickness will make you look inside of yourself.
Speaker A:But something very powerful happens when even though we're going through a challenge, maybe we have sickness or some condition in our own body, we, we, we refuse.
Speaker A:We kind of resist that urge to look internally and start to look externally.
Speaker A:In other words, how can we minister to other people even though it might feel alien to us?
Speaker A:Is actually a really powerful tool that can aid you along your journey to receive healing for yourself.
Speaker A:And so this whole module is really focused on now we have the healing, now we have the healing power on the inside of us in Jesus.
Speaker A:How do we get that out to other people?
Speaker A:And one of the side effects of that action, that out looking action, that sharing the gospel action, is the power God flows through us in a powerful way.
Speaker A:So today with that in mind, we're looking at hearing God.
Speaker A:Now this is really important for you, but also in ministry in a practical sense and as believers, you know, we are all created to hear God.
Speaker A:And the reason this is so important, we have whole modules on spiritual gifts.
Speaker A:But before we start functioning in spiritual gifts, the very first step to that is knowing as a believer one on one that you have the ability to hear God.
Speaker A:You know, no other religion on earth has a God that speaks to them.
Speaker B:Come on, direct line to God and God that speaks to him.
Speaker B:Yeah, and spiritual gifts going back to that, you know, all this, nearly all the spiritual gifts work through hearing God.
Speaker B:If you can't hear God, you're not going to be able to hear that word knowledge, word of wisdom, that prophecy, discern the spirits, all those things we need to hear from God.
Speaker B:So hearing God is fundamental and it's one of the biggest things.
Speaker B:You know, when we launched out of our ministry, I asked Andrew Wommack, you know, he's our spiritual father, I said, what, what advice have you got for me?
Speaker B:And he said, spend time with God and listen to him and do what he says.
Speaker B:And I said, there's got to be more to it.
Speaker B:You know, he's built one of the biggest ministries in the world.
Speaker B:So no, spend time with God, listen to his voice and do what he says.
Speaker B:So basically hearing God's voice and then obeying God really is.
Speaker B:That's it.
Speaker B:If you, if you hear God's voice and obey it, you can't go wrong.
Speaker B:It's like it's, it's, yeah, it's 101, it's awesome.
Speaker B:So hearing God's voice is so important.
Speaker A:And one of the things I think we've both heard in ministry circumstances is people come and say, well, I just, I can't hear God.
Speaker B:Yes, it's a common confession.
Speaker B:I can't hear God, I can't hear God.
Speaker B:And they'll also say things like, the devil told me this, the devil tempted me that the devil tempted with this.
Speaker A:So they're good at listening to the voice of the enemy.
Speaker B:So you can hear the voice of the enemy.
Speaker B:You can't hear God.
Speaker B:So first of all, change your confession.
Speaker B:Stop saying you can't hear God.
Speaker B:Because I'm sure you're going to read this in John 10.
Speaker B:John.
Speaker B: John: Speaker B: me read you this in, in John: Speaker B:So if you're born again today, and if you're not, you can do that.
Speaker B:It's very simple.
Speaker B:You call on the name of the Lord.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker B:And make him your Lord and Savior.
Speaker A:You.
Speaker B:You believe in your heart and you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you could be.
Speaker B:You could be saved right now.
Speaker B:But I'm assuming you're already saved.
Speaker B:If you're saved, you're already his sheep.
Speaker B:My sheep.
Speaker B:Jesus is saying, my sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me.
Speaker B:So we should start confessing.
Speaker B:We can hear God's voice.
Speaker B:You know, we believe it first before we see it.
Speaker B:You know, a lot of people say, well, I believe it when I see it.
Speaker A:No, let's not have faith works.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker B:Second Corinthians 5, 7 says, we walk by faith and not by sight.
Speaker B:And the way we walk by faith is we believe God's promises first and then we see them.
Speaker B:On the outside, you believe for healing in your heart.
Speaker B:And you'll see it on the outside in your physical body, you believe for God's provision on the inside.
Speaker B:And you'll see it in your bank account.
Speaker B:So it always starts with believing.
Speaker B:And then you'll see the manifestations.
Speaker B:The same with hearing God's voice.
Speaker B:It starts with believing that you can hear God's voice.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:And then you're going to start hearing his voice.
Speaker B:So stop.
Speaker B:Some of you out there, I know who you are.
Speaker B:I used to say it too.
Speaker B:Stop saying you, I can't hear God's voice or I can't.
Speaker B:I can never hear God, or I struggle to hear God.
Speaker B:Yeah, start confessing the truth.
Speaker B: John: Speaker B:I'm Jesus, sheep, and I can hear his voice.
Speaker B:I can hear God's voice.
Speaker A:That alone is actually a very powerful confession because you're.
Speaker A:Now you're opening your mind up.
Speaker A:You know, one of the reasons that sometimes we struggle to hear the voice of God is because our lives are really busy.
Speaker A:You know, we just get busy with everything, with everything else, but actually understanding that we are created to be in.
Speaker A:In unity.
Speaker A:We created to be connected at heart level.
Speaker A:We created to be with that capacity to be able to Hear God.
Speaker A:And the minute we get born again, that we mean that just, that just ramps right up.
Speaker A:And so when we start intentionally recognizing that, it's almost like we're dialing in, we're tuning in to the voice of God.
Speaker A:Even just with that heart posture that is, that mean that is just hugely important.
Speaker A: You know, Romans: Speaker A:We have spiritual ears.
Speaker A:We are created with faith, right?
Speaker A:We, that's the ability, that's a spiritual sight.
Speaker A:But we also have spiritual ears.
Speaker A:And faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God on the inside of us.
Speaker A:And developing the spiritual ear is, is crucial to receiving everything that we, that we need by faith.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:By faith.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:So we're going to look at some of the ways that we can learn to tune in to listen and, and hear better that signal.
Speaker A: ing to you people born in the: Speaker A:You know, we used to get those old fashioned radios with the bar on it, right.
Speaker A:And it had a dial.
Speaker A:And maybe some of you still have this in your car, but you know, you have to adjust, you have to tune in, you have to spin the little tuning dial or you know, when, when we used to do this when we were kids, we'd have, if the television on aerial on our roof wasn't strong enough, we'd have like a little plug in aerial, TV aerial inside the house that we plug into the tv.
Speaker A:And sometimes the signal would get a little fuzzy.
Speaker A:And so, you know, the youngest person in the family, it was usually their job to climb up high with the aerial and stand there and move it until the signal cleared up and the picture clarified.
Speaker A:We're showing our age now.
Speaker A:Yeah, we're showing our age now.
Speaker A:And you know, the youngest person, that was always me.
Speaker A:So I was always climbing on the back of the sofa, you know, hanging onto the aerial.
Speaker B:You got it don't.
Speaker A:And you're like frozen in time.
Speaker A:Well, you know, there are things that signal that in the airwaves is always there.
Speaker A:That's like the voice of God.
Speaker A:God is always speaking.
Speaker A:His voice is going out to the air, the spiritual airway set.
Speaker A:And anyone that's listening that was, that is intentionally leaning in can tune in and pick up that signal.
Speaker A:So God is always speaking to us.
Speaker A:But sometimes in life we just get so busy that we don't you know, we get distracted.
Speaker A:You know, you can, you can have a lot going on in your household and you, it doesn't necessarily mean it's.
Speaker B:The business business of life.
Speaker B:It will stop you actually tuning in and hearing God's voice.
Speaker B:And, and you know, we have to be intentionally hear God's voice.
Speaker B:But yeah, God's.
Speaker B:God's always speaking.
Speaker B:And just like radio signals or Bluetooth signals or WI fi signals, they're there, but you need a device to tune in and actually see that there.
Speaker B:Well, God's speaking all the time.
Speaker B:It's up to us if we tune in and actually hear his voice or not.
Speaker A:Yeah, and sometimes I do believe that people are hearing God and they don't recognize it is the voice of God speaking to them.
Speaker A:And we're going to look at some of these different ways in just a moment.
Speaker A:But what I would add to this as well, you know, the more time you spend with a person, the better you get to know them.
Speaker A:And so, I mean, what are some of the ways that you spend time with God?
Speaker B:Well, I spend time with God, you know, thanking him, first of all, being thankful.
Speaker B:So I spend time with us, talking to him, thanking him, praising him, worshiping him.
Speaker B:I spent time praying in the Holy Ghost room, so praying in my prayer language, praying in tongues.
Speaker B:That spiritual language.
Speaker B:If you haven't got that, you need that.
Speaker B:Praise the Lord is for every believer.
Speaker B:But I pray in the Holy Ghost a lot.
Speaker B:When I spend time with God, I spend time with God, reading his Word because, you know, Jesus became the word became flesh.
Speaker B:That is Jesus.
Speaker B:So John 1 says the Word became flesh.
Speaker B:So I spend time with the Word because reading the Word and spend time in the Word.
Speaker B:You know, you're not just reading a book, you're spending time with the author.
Speaker B:Yeah, you fellowship with the author.
Speaker B:So yeah, some of the ways.
Speaker B:What about you?
Speaker A:All the same ways.
Speaker A:And you know, sometimes I just like to be outside.
Speaker A:I really like to be outside.
Speaker A:I'm a big view person.
Speaker A:And the Lord will speak to me in nature as well.
Speaker A:Just, just the vastness of it.
Speaker A:He'll speak to me through, through nature.
Speaker A:But also I like silence.
Speaker A:I know that, that, I mean, that's not for everyone.
Speaker B:God's got a sense of humor because you married me.
Speaker B:God's got a sense of humor because she married me.
Speaker B:So silence is not usually something, but sometimes, you know, the other day God said, just be quiet.
Speaker B:And I say silence like an hour, like sometimes.
Speaker A:So people are different.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:And, and the Lord made our personalities so he, he works with that.
Speaker A:But I find if I just get quiet and I ask God a question and I expect an answer, I can hear it right away.
Speaker A:And not everyone hears that way.
Speaker A:Sometimes people hear things and they hear through journaling.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Different, different, different ways in people.
Speaker A:There's nothing right or wrong in this.
Speaker A:My point being that the more time you spend with a person, even not just naturally with their spouse, the more I get to know and understand and hear Ashley and hear his heart and know his opinions.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:And so what's from me and what's not for me?
Speaker B:Like.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:So someone tells you, Ashley said this, you're going to know.
Speaker B:We've spent 29 years together now you're going to know what's from me and not.
Speaker B:See, the more you get to know God, the more you know his mo, if you like, his modus operandi is, you know, like his mode of conduct, the way he speaks, his character, his nature.
Speaker B:So it'll be easier to decipher his word.
Speaker A:And you know, if the only time we spend with God is when we have a crisis or when we want to talk about a particular subject, we are going to struggle to hear in other areas.
Speaker A:And I'm not saying you shouldn't seek God in the crisis.
Speaker A:That's, that's craziness.
Speaker A:God is there for every situation.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:But also sometimes the Lord did the.
Speaker A:One of the best ways I know to, to hear the Lord is just to spend time with him in the small talk.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:It doesn't mean that the only time I go to the Lord in conversation is when I need something.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:And you know, when we put this is the context of healing when somebody is in a crisis situation.
Speaker A:You know, I mentioned this at the beginning.
Speaker A:Beginning, but sickness can become very inward looking.
Speaker A:It wants all of your attention, all of your time, every waking thought, every, all of your dream life, all of your money.
Speaker A:And it wants all of your relationship with God also.
Speaker A:So if our entire relationship with God circulates around just receiving a healing, we, we've minimized God to just somebody that can fix the symptom.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:But yeah, if we, and this is a really small adjustment because I'm going to explain it because I feel it's going to help someone.
Speaker A:Healing is a byproduct of our relationship with the healer.
Speaker B:Yeah, it's really good.
Speaker A:So if we search and seek out the healer, healing is going to come naturally.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:But if we are searching for the, just the, the, you know, the, the band aid, the answer to the Problem, the healing, we're missing something far greater than that.
Speaker A:Search for the healer and the healing will come.
Speaker A:If all we're doing is searching for the healing, that becomes an act of the flesh, that becomes a work, and it actually makes healing an idol.
Speaker A:Yeah, we don't want it to be.
Speaker A:We don't want anything above our Lord.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:So this is, this is really interesting.
Speaker A:Okay, so the Holy Spirit in ministry, right?
Speaker A:It's important to hear God for ourselves, but it's very crucial when ministering to other people.
Speaker A:And so, you know, if you're in a prayer line situation, if you're in the opportunity where maybe you're ministering to a neighbor or, you know, someone on the bus or, you know, wherever a coworker, a family member, you know, your ability to hear God in that instance is huge because, you know, the Holy Spirit, one of his names is counselor.
Speaker A:Another one of his names is the helper, right?
Speaker A:He's going to lead us on all truth.
Speaker A:And so he will show us things.
Speaker A:Let's just show us how to minister to people.
Speaker A:If we invite the Holy Spirit into a situation, he knows exactly what that person needs before we even get into a ministry situation.
Speaker A:And, and you know, you know, he's the Lord's the great physician.
Speaker B:He'll minister through us, right?
Speaker B:He'll actually use your hands and feet, minister through you.
Speaker B:You can hear God's voice.
Speaker B:God will tell you, do this, do that, you know, ask about this.
Speaker B:And you know, when Jesus ministered to people in the Gospels, he ministered differently every time.
Speaker B:And it was amazing how he ministered.
Speaker B:He was listening to his Father's voice.
Speaker B:I only do what I hear the Father tell me to do.
Speaker B:So he was listening.
Speaker B:So when you minister to people, you listen.
Speaker B:And the Lord will show you, ask about this, say, ask about that.
Speaker B:And it's amazing.
Speaker B:You can cut right to the heart because the Lord wants them set free.
Speaker B:He wants them healed and whole and set free.
Speaker A:And this, you know, ministry is not just for super dupers.
Speaker A:Any believer can minister to other people.
Speaker A:Any believer, right?
Speaker A:If you've, if you've received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, that means you have a direct line to the Lord.
Speaker A:You can be filled with the Holy Spirit, you can minister healing, you can, you can flow in the spiritual gifts.
Speaker A:Every believe this should be normal part of, of just day to day life, right?
Speaker A:This is not just reserved for someone on the pulpit on a Sunday morning.
Speaker A:Amen, right?
Speaker A:This, gone, gone are those days.
Speaker A:So we want to be hearing God for our own personal prayer life and relationship with God.
Speaker A:But also hugely valuable in our witness to the rest of the world.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Really valuable.
Speaker A:And understand this as well.
Speaker A:The enemy does not want us to believe that we can hear the voice of God.
Speaker A:You know, they would probably, the world probably thinks we're crazy.
Speaker A:They'd probably call us schizophrenic.
Speaker A:Oh, you hear voices?
Speaker A:Yeah, no, actually I hear the voice, the voice of God.
Speaker B:There's actually been a lot of people like celebrities and politicians and things like that.
Speaker B:No one might, the world doesn't mind when they talk about how they have relationship with God.
Speaker B:You know, then when they either I believe in God and I talk to God, I pray to God, no one has a problem, you say, I pray to God.
Speaker B:And you can say you pray to God.
Speaker B:And most religions pray to some sort of God pray to God.
Speaker B:But the minute you say that God spoke to you, then you, then they take you from someone who's just like quote unquote religious or someone who's got faith to someone who's crazy.
Speaker B:Seriously, like the, one of the, one of the ways they, they diagnose people, they say, oh, if you hear, if you're hearing God's voice, you could be crazy.
Speaker B:Which is, which is terrible if you think about it.
Speaker B:It's the enemy, right?
Speaker B:The enemy's put that, that lie out there.
Speaker B:But we are meant to hear God's voice.
Speaker B:It's natural for us to hear God's voice.
Speaker B:But if celebrities say I heard from God and God told me this, they get made fun of publicly, you know.
Speaker B:But the truth is we do hear God's voice.
Speaker B:I hear God's voice all the time.
Speaker B:And you can too.
Speaker B:And I'm sure a lot of you got testimonies how you've heard God's voice.
Speaker B:So it should be a normal thing.
Speaker B:But the world doesn't understand it, so they think it's foolishness.
Speaker B:But you know what, that's the Apostle Paul said that, right?
Speaker B:It's going to be foolishness.
Speaker B:The cross is foolishness to the world, to the parishion, but it's the power of God to us.
Speaker B:So we need to understand that this is important.
Speaker B:This is a non negotiable.
Speaker B:We should be desiring to hear God's.
Speaker A:Words clearly and normalizing this.
Speaker A:I want to encourage you if your parents normalize this with your children from being a very young age, because children do not have the natural unbelief that adults have.
Speaker A:They haven't had years and years of disappointments and Hurt and trauma and everything else.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Negative experience.
Speaker A:Experiences.
Speaker A:They're just very young, and their hearts are very malleable, and they.
Speaker A:They tend to hear the voice of God very clearly, but they don't know how to express that.
Speaker A:So talk about this with your kids.
Speaker A:What does God sound like?
Speaker A:Let's look at this.
Speaker A:First one I want to look at is in Romans 9, verse 1.
Speaker A:Do you want to read that?
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Romans 9, verse 1 says this.
Speaker B:Romans 9, verse 1 says, I tell the truth in Christ.
Speaker B:I'm not lying.
Speaker B:My conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit that I have great sorrow and continual grief.
Speaker B:Is the right verse?
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker B:In my heart.
Speaker A:That's good.
Speaker B:That's it.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:So the point being that we have our conscience, bears witness with the Holy Spirit.
Speaker B:Yeah, my conscience.
Speaker A:So the first one here is the inner witness.
Speaker A:And I think.
Speaker A:I think this is where people sometimes mistake the voice of God even for their own thoughts or ideas.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:Because we're one spirit of the Lord, you know, First Corinthians 6, 6 says that you are one spirit of the Lord.
Speaker B:It's hard to tell when your spirit starts and the Lord's spirit starts.
Speaker B:You know, it's like you're one spirit of the Lord.
Speaker B:So what happens is you hear the Lord on the inside, and most the time or a lot of the time, we dismiss it because we think it's just us.
Speaker B:Because the Lord's voice on the inside of us sounds like us.
Speaker B:It doesn't sound like a third person.
Speaker B:It doesn't sound like the Lord's voice inside of us sounds like us.
Speaker A:Did you get that right?
Speaker A:Because we can actually really miss that.
Speaker A:It doesn't.
Speaker A:When you hear from God, it doesn't sound like someone else's voice in your head.
Speaker A:It sounds like you're Ashley.
Speaker B:Thus saith the Lord.
Speaker B:This is the Lord speaking now.
Speaker B:Can God speak to you audibly?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:It's rare.
Speaker B:I've heard the audible voice, the Lord.
Speaker B:It's rare.
Speaker A:I have two.
Speaker A:When I was a very early believer.
Speaker B:And it's actually more powerful when you hear the inner witness.
Speaker B:Peter talks about this.
Speaker B:This is a more powerful way of hearing from God.
Speaker B:But when you hear that inner witness, it's almost like you just know you have this.
Speaker B:It could be like a gut feeling.
Speaker B:It could be an unction.
Speaker B:It could be a thought.
Speaker B:It could just be like a bit of inspiration.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker B:It sounds like you.
Speaker B:So you often dismiss it because you think, oh, that can't.
Speaker B:That just must be my idea.
Speaker B:That just, you know, I'll give you an example.
Speaker B:You might think, I just need to phone this person or I just need to reach out to that person.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker B:And you finally, you do it because it's up a nag.
Speaker B:You, that inner witness nagging.
Speaker B:You do it and you find out they were at death door.
Speaker B:You know, they really need encouragement.
Speaker A:It was really crisis moment.
Speaker B:It's a crisis moment.
Speaker B:I've had things and we've got so many testimonies and things.
Speaker B:Like, I just feel like I need to do this right now and I'll change directions or I'll do something and bam.
Speaker B:As the Lord saved me from something or the Lord preparing me for something.
Speaker B:It's amazing how then things can happen.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:I'm telling you, don't miss it by thinking it's going to be an outside voice.
Speaker B:Often the inner witness sounds like you because you are one with the Lord.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:First John 4:17 says that as he is as Jesus, so are you in this world.
Speaker B:So your spirit and God's spirit are one.
Speaker B:And that's why your God's voice sounds like your voice on the inside.
Speaker A:And you know, the more we tune in and start to recognize that and you can ask the Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, will you help me?
Speaker B:Yep.
Speaker A:Will you help me to recognize what your voice sounds like?
Speaker A:Remember, his job is the helper.
Speaker A:I remember one time, this is back in England, I was in like a hardware store with Hannah and she was probably 18 months old.
Speaker A:I had a.
Speaker A:Sitting there in the, in the shopping cart as we're going around and I'm doing a project, so I've got my paint pots and I collected all my stuff.
Speaker A:And as I'm.
Speaker A:As I'm going around this hardware store, I hear the voice of God on the inside of me, of this unction.
Speaker A:It does.
Speaker A:You just felt like a real sense of urgency that just came out of nowhere.
Speaker A:Just came out of nowhere.
Speaker A:It wasn't like I was thinking about this, but my friend, my just thinking.
Speaker A:My friend came to me and I had this feeling like I should suddenly should go around to her house and check on her.
Speaker A:And she lived about 10 minutes away from the hardware store.
Speaker A:And I'm like, well, that's strange.
Speaker A:Or maybe I'll give her a call later.
Speaker A:This is before cell phones, right?
Speaker A:So maybe, you know, when I get home, I put all the stuff away, I'll give her a call and check on her.
Speaker A:But it gets getting stronger and stronger.
Speaker A:Like, no, no, there is an urgency with this.
Speaker A:Like, you can't wait.
Speaker A:You need to Go right now.
Speaker A:And it just got to the point where I'm like, lord, can I just, like, check out first?
Speaker A:And he's like, no, now.
Speaker A:So I actually left the cart with all the stuff there and bundled Hannah, right.
Speaker A:We got in the car, we drove around there, and she was.
Speaker A:I mean, it was like in the nick of time.
Speaker A:She was.
Speaker A:She was actually needed deliverance.
Speaker A:It was.
Speaker A:It was a whole.
Speaker A:It was a whole thing.
Speaker A:But recognizing maybe she was either.
Speaker A:Yeah, but recognizing that, that is kind of like a nagging feeling on the inside.
Speaker A:Or sometimes it could be like, peace.
Speaker A:Yeah, I've had that before that in a witness.
Speaker A:Just.
Speaker A:Yeah, I have a piece about that.
Speaker A:You know, we kind of throw this phrase around.
Speaker A:Do you have peace about this?
Speaker A:Or I don't have peace about that.
Speaker A:That becomes this airy fairy thing.
Speaker A:But really what we're talking about is here in Romans 9, verse 1, does your conscience bear witness with the Holy Spirit?
Speaker A:When someone says something thing, do you think like, oh, yeah, that kind of just.
Speaker A:That feels right.
Speaker A:That sits right.
Speaker A:Or do you get that check in your spirit?
Speaker A:Like, I'm not sure if they're telling the truth.
Speaker A:Yeah, something's not right there.
Speaker A:That's not the whole story.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:This is your inner witness, that check.
Speaker A:And people have different words for it.
Speaker A:But that sense of peace or that check in the spirit or intuition could be they have different words for that feeling.
Speaker A:That is your inner witness.
Speaker A:And that is one of the ways that you hear God speak, speaking to you.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Hear God speaking to you.
Speaker A:So the Holy Spirit can be your inner witness and knowing on the inside of you.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:A check in the spirit.
Speaker B:Now, with all these ways of hearing God's voice, we're going to look at how you can discern whoever.
Speaker B:Because you can still miss it.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker B:You can still have.
Speaker B:I've had, like, quote unquote in a witness or a hunch or a gut feeling or something, and it hasn't been God.
Speaker B:So there's.
Speaker B:We're gonna.
Speaker B:We're gonna show you how you can tell if it's God or not.
Speaker B:What.
Speaker B:How you do that.
Speaker B:But, yeah, that inner witness is a big deal.
Speaker A:Yep.
Speaker A:So look at this.
Speaker A:In Colossians 3:15.
Speaker A:And the Amplified Clarity Classic.
Speaker B:Gans 3, 15.
Speaker A:Amplified Classic.
Speaker B:Oh, you getting technical now?
Speaker B:You want the amplified classic.
Speaker A:Amplified classic.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker B:Not just a regular.
Speaker B:And let the peace, the soul harmony, which comes from Christ's rule, act as umpire continually in your hearts, deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds in that peaceful State to which, as members of Christ, one body, you were also called to live in and be thankful, appreciative, giving praise to God always.
Speaker A:I mean, that's, that's kind of a wordy way of doing it.
Speaker A:But the part that I really like in that is let the peace, the soul harmony, which comes from Christ, rule and act as an umpire continually in our hearts.
Speaker A:So, you know, if, if we are in a relationship, this is why we talked about relationship with God at the beginning of this.
Speaker A:Because if we are actively in a relationship with the Lord, we're spending time with Him.
Speaker A:One of the ways we can spend time with him is by reading His Word.
Speaker A:That's how we get to know his character and nature, his opinions.
Speaker A:We get to hear his voice on the inside us when we, when we're praying in our prayer language.
Speaker A:All of these ways, worshiping, praising, all of these ways that we've developed in getting to know God through our own personal relationship with Him.
Speaker A:And really, we will get to the point where if something comes in from the outside, that's not God.
Speaker A:It's almost like it's stroking the cat the wrong way.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Fingers on the.
Speaker A:Fingers on the chalkboard, right?
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Because when, when you are.
Speaker A:When you're delighting yourself in the Lord, when you have spent time getting to know the genuine article, it's easy to spot something that's a fraud, that's a peace stealer.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So Ashley's sister Emma, when she was at 15, I think right out of high school, she worked in a bank and she would have to deal with all of the notes that came across.
Speaker A:And she was like the teller in a bank.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:The cashier.
Speaker A:And they didn't have a study all of the different forgeries that kept coming out of the fraudulent notes because, you know, there was always a new fraudulent note coming out and you can never keep up notes.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Thank you.
Speaker A:The bills, the paper money.
Speaker A:The paper money, the pounds, the dollars.
Speaker A:And so they'd have her study the actual, genuine, the real sterling, British sterling pound.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:They start the actual bank notes, 20.
Speaker B:Pound notes, and a $50 note.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Because if she, if she could become very familiar with the authentic article, the real deal, it's much easier to spot a fake.
Speaker A:And I just want to help you with this because the word of God is the genuine article.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:You know, it is the more sure word of prophecy.
Speaker A:And God will not contradict his word.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:All of his word was given for our benefit.
Speaker A:All of his word is good for our instruction.
Speaker A:And reproof.
Speaker A:All of his word is inspired and for our.
Speaker A:For our learning and for our betterment.
Speaker A:And so if we become more familiar with the word of God, we are not going to be easily sidetracked when someone comes to us and says something that's not true.
Speaker A:Like, God told me this about you.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:Well, hang on a minute.
Speaker A:I've been spending time with God, and my inner witness tells me that's a lie.
Speaker A:That's a distraction for the pit of hell.
Speaker B:Single women, let me just say this.
Speaker B:Now, when a man comes up and says, God's told me that you're to be my wife, run for the hills.
Speaker B:Now, can God speak to that?
Speaker B:Of course.
Speaker B:God spoke to me and told me that Kylie's gonna be my wife.
Speaker B:I didn't go up to her and say, God said that you're going to be my wife, because she would have run away.
Speaker B:So don't do that.
Speaker B:Let the Lord work it out.
Speaker B:But the point being is that can be used as manipulation.
Speaker B:People.
Speaker B:God's told me that you've got to do this and you've got to do that.
Speaker A:You've got to move here, you've got to take this job, you've got to date this.
Speaker A:This guy.
Speaker B:No, you're gonna hear God's voice yourself.
Speaker B:And God will never tell you something that contradicts his Word.
Speaker B:So this is the.
Speaker B:You know, I may be getting ahead of the notes.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:But when we, you know, if God tells you to do something that goes against, that violates His Word, it's not God.
Speaker B:I don't care how clear you think you've heard God, it's not God.
Speaker B:Because God will never, ever, ever violate his Word.
Speaker B:He never violates his word.
Speaker B:He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Speaker B:Malachi3 said, I'm the Lord your God, I change not.
Speaker B:Hebrews says, jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever and ever and ever and ever.
Speaker B:God does not change.
Speaker B:So therefore, God's word, he will never violate his word.
Speaker B:God and his and his and His Word are one.
Speaker B:So if you hear something that's contrary to God's word, like God's told me to go and rob a bank, he's.
Speaker A:Not going to tell you to sin.
Speaker B:Yeah, God's told me to do this, do that.
Speaker B:No, he's not going to do that.
Speaker B:And he doesn't change his mind.
Speaker B:So I remember when I was working at the Bible school, Bible school students come to me all the time and say, God's told me to quit Bible school early.
Speaker B:And I Just be bold with him.
Speaker B:I say, no, he hasn't.
Speaker B:So how dare you think I don't.
Speaker B:I said no.
Speaker B:God's called you here.
Speaker B:He's going to see it through to completion until, until you graduate.
Speaker B:And that's that.
Speaker B:That's how God's God works.
Speaker B:That's how he doesn't.
Speaker B:All of a sudden they say, well, I've got to leave, so I've got the finances.
Speaker B:So it's not.
Speaker A:That's a different issue.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:And that's not like, oh, well, God's all of a sudden hasn't got a way of providing for your needs.
Speaker B:And we've seen this time and time, and God.
Speaker B:God's told me to divorce my wife or God's told me to go and do this.
Speaker B:God's told me to lead this and do that.
Speaker B:And if it violates God's word, it's not from God 100%.
Speaker A:That's really important.
Speaker A:God is not going to violate his own wor.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:So good.
Speaker A:So, you know, this is, this is very important because, you know, there are so many sidewalk prophets out there today, right?
Speaker A:And people.
Speaker A:And, and they're using platforms just like this.
Speaker A:We cannot just blindly receive everything that we hear from somebody just because they, they, they have notoriety.
Speaker A:You know, they have notoriety.
Speaker A:They can be notorious for the wrong reasons.
Speaker A:You know, we need to be able to test, you know, test words of prophet, test words that come from the outside to the inside.
Speaker A:And if they don't bear witness with you, if they contradict the word or he's a bigger thing.
Speaker A:If they go beyond the word of God, you see, it might be, oh, 99% of it sounds really good, but then they start going beyond the word of God.
Speaker A:That's a red flag.
Speaker A:That's a red flag, okay?
Speaker A:Because, you know, the enemy is very deceptive.
Speaker A:And unfortunately, he also uses people around us, influential people.
Speaker A:And so I would just encourage you, don't make a life decision based on somebody else's revelation from God.
Speaker B:That's really good.
Speaker A:This is just huge.
Speaker A:And it's going to save you a whole world of hurt.
Speaker A:You know, if, if you hear something, they think, man, that's, that's just, you know, that sounds good.
Speaker A:You take it to God in your prayer time.
Speaker A:You're like, lord, Holy Spirit, can you help me decipher this?
Speaker A:Can you.
Speaker A:Can you help me to see either this is true or maybe, maybe this is not from you?
Speaker A:Can you lead me into all truth?
Speaker A:The hol.
Speaker A:Spirit, he's your helper.
Speaker A:He's Your guide, he's, you know, he's going to reveal hidden mysteries to you.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Don't allow somebody else to become your Holy Spirit.
Speaker B:Come on, Ky. That's really important.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:This is huge because I feel like in the body of Christ today, we want to take away, especially with all this modern technology, we want to take away any personal effort required.
Speaker A:And it's so much easier to listen to some.
Speaker A:Somebody else and.
Speaker A:And that be God to you.
Speaker A:Yeah, right.
Speaker A:And that be the Bible to you rather than, you know, and that becomes your quiet time with God.
Speaker A:Listening to somebody else.
Speaker A:That's not your quiet time with God.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:Don't let somebody else be your Holy Spirit.
Speaker B:You know, we are meant to seek the Lord.
Speaker B:That's one of our.
Speaker B:That's one of our prime.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Primary things meant to do is actually seek the Lord.
Speaker B:You know, we minister to the Lord.
Speaker B:That's why.
Speaker B:That's why he gave us free will, so we can minister to Him.
Speaker B:And you can't seek the Lord quickly.
Speaker B:It's not.
Speaker B:I'm going to quickly seek the Lord.
Speaker B:You know, sometimes we only have a little bit of time.
Speaker B:That's fine.
Speaker B:But it takes time.
Speaker B:It takes, you know, a consistency and time, like building a marriage is a tiny picture of our relationship with God.
Speaker B:It takes time to build a marriage.
Speaker B:You can't just all of a sudden quickly get married and, you know, all of a sudden know each other's, you know, faults and everything else.
Speaker B:It takes time to search the Lord out and seek the Lord.
Speaker B:And when you just spend all your time listening to other people, including us, don't spend all your time listening to us.
Speaker B:Make sure you actually in the Word yourself.
Speaker B:Come on.
Speaker B:Make sure you.
Speaker B:Make sure you spend time in the Word yourself, in God's presence yourself.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Praying to him, reading His Word one on one without other people's teachings, other people's ideas.
Speaker B:Make sure you get it directly from the Word of God yourself.
Speaker A:It's really good to, you know, to listen to sermons.
Speaker A:It's really good to listen to Christian podcasts.
Speaker A:It's really good to, you know, read Christian material, but understand that that doesn't replace your time in the Word with the Lord.
Speaker A:That doesn't replace tuning in to hear God for yourself.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:So when you hear other people having revelations from the Lord, that's great.
Speaker A:But let that bear witness with you or let that not bear witness with you.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Either way.
Speaker A:And that doesn't mean that, you know, that person's bad because they.
Speaker A:They said something that Wasn't of God.
Speaker A:Hey, we know in part and we prophesy in part.
Speaker A:It just means that sometimes we get our own ideas mixed up and we call it God and it's not God.
Speaker B:Yeah, hey, Peter was one of Jesus closest friends, you know, he had the revelation that Jesus was the Christ.
Speaker B:Jesus said, you know, I'm going to build my church on this revelation.
Speaker B:So he was very close.
Speaker B:He was one of the most powerful apostles ever, the apostle Peter.
Speaker B:And yet the enemy used him.
Speaker B:And he spoke to Jesus and said, you know Jesus, you don't have to go to the cross.
Speaker B:And Jesus turned around and said to him, get behind me, Satan.
Speaker B:Yeah, so Peter wasn't Satan, but Satan was using Peter.
Speaker B:Instance, even loved ones, even people that mean well, even good people sometimes can get it wrong and miss it.
Speaker B:So don't just take something they say and think, oh, it must be God and run with it.
Speaker B:Really, if someone prophesies over you or speaks to you and says God is saying this to you, it should already bear witness to you.
Speaker B:It should just be confirmation of something.
Speaker B:And if it's not confirmation, then put on the shelf and let the Lord bring it around.
Speaker B:But you don't need, my, my point is you don't need another man or woman to be the voice of God for you.
Speaker B:You have the ability to hear God's voice in your spirit in a still, small voice like Elijah did in Second Kings.
Speaker B:He heard the Lord's still small voice and not the spectacular, the still small voice.
Speaker B:And you had the ability to hear God's voice through his Word and through his spirit and all these other ways, one on one directly.
Speaker B:God wants a one on one direct relationship with you.
Speaker B:You don't need to have a mediator.
Speaker B:Jesus is our mediator.
Speaker B:You don't need a Moses to be a mediator.
Speaker A:Let's not go back to those dark days where people didn't have a direct line to God themselves, but they had to go through, you know, the priest, and only the priest knew Latin.
Speaker A:And, you know, we don't need to go back to that.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:We don't need to make our relationship flow entirely through, you know, our favorite, our favorite preachers.
Speaker A:We'd be really careful that we don't subtly make our way back to that.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Very, very important.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:So discerning the voice of God and when God speaks to us on the inside of us, you know, we've mentioned some of this, that his voice sounds like us, but how do we discern those thoughts?
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:It's good.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:One of the, one of the things is he never violates God's words.
Speaker B:We know that.
Speaker B:Yeah, it's not, it's gonna.
Speaker B:But some things aren't black and white in God's word.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:Should you move to this town or that town, you know, should you buy this house or that house?
Speaker B:Should you marry this person, that person?
Speaker B:It's not black and white in the word of God.
Speaker B:So there's other ways you can, you can understand.
Speaker B:I mean, I've got this verse here from Hebrews called Hebrews 4:12.
Speaker B:For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit.
Speaker B:So this is one of the things we have to do.
Speaker B:We have to understand our spirit once we're born again.
Speaker B:Our spirit is just like Jesus.
Speaker B:Our spirit is always in joy.
Speaker B:He's always exercising the fruits of the spirit.
Speaker B:It's always.
Speaker B:It's just like Jesus.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker B:First John 4:17.
Speaker B:We're one spirit of the Lord.
Speaker B:So our spirits are always doing great.
Speaker B:But our souls are the part.
Speaker B:You know, you are a spirit.
Speaker B:You possess a soul and you live in a body.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker B:You have three parts.
Speaker B:Your spirit is good, it's sealed.
Speaker B:It's just like Jesus.
Speaker B:Your soul is the part of you, your mind, will and emotions.
Speaker B:That's the part you're renewing your soul.
Speaker B:And you need.
Speaker B:We need help.
Speaker B:Sometimes it's a process, discerning what is the spirit and what's our soul, what is our spirits and what's our unrenewed part of our soul.
Speaker B:So this is why it's so good.
Speaker B:It pierces the word of God, pierces even division between the soul and the spirit, the joints, the marrow and discerner of the thoughts and the intent of the heart.
Speaker B:So the word of God will show us our intents, it will show us our motivations and it will really help us discern whether we're hearing from God or whether it just is our own.
Speaker B:Is our own thoughts.
Speaker B:It's our thoughts.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:And I'd like to say this as well.
Speaker A:Sometimes one of the, and this sounds very practical, difficult one.
Speaker A:One of the ways I identify when God is speaking to me, it's like it comes out of the blue.
Speaker A:Sometimes daisy chains, like yes, I have a whole teaching on this called daisy chains and dynamite which will help you discern those thoughts.
Speaker A:Okay, that's a good teaching.
Speaker A:Daisy chains and dynamites.
Speaker A:Maybe the team can put the link to that in the thing if you want that one.
Speaker A:But sometimes thoughts Just come out of nowhere.
Speaker A:You know, there's no train of thought that leads up to that.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker B:So I do this sometimes.
Speaker B:I track back.
Speaker B:So I think if I think about something, oh, you know, whatever.
Speaker B:I think, oh, I need to go and visit that person.
Speaker B:Then I think back, oh, that I just thought about last time I was walking down this street was with that.
Speaker A:There was a tricky for that.
Speaker B:And the reason why I'm thinking about that is I'm thinking about going to those.
Speaker B:That store and go.
Speaker B:And you go back and you realize, oh, that's just a natural thought progression.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:But if all of a sudden I have a thought like.
Speaker B:And it's.
Speaker B:And it impresses me, like, contact this person and it's completely out the blue is more likely to be God than if it's just my own natural thinking.
Speaker B:You know, our brains, especially my brain, like, it's always going places, really.
Speaker A:Brain.
Speaker B:So.
Speaker B:So if you can track it back, sometimes you realize, oh, it's just my natural thinking.
Speaker B:I'm just thinking about that.
Speaker B:But if it's just out the blue, sometimes that shows you that it's more likely to be God.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:And, you know, I have realized as well that the more time I spend in the Word and the more time I spend in the presence of God and in praise and worship and just invest in my relationship with the Lord, the clearer I hear him and the quicker I discern, oh, that's God speaking to me.
Speaker B:So good.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So that.
Speaker A:That piece of it is.
Speaker A:Is very connected.
Speaker A:So sometimes thoughts come into our minds.
Speaker A:And we've talked about this before, how to take our thoughts captive.
Speaker A:And we've talked a little bit, but I think it's good to.
Speaker A:I know we have new people on here.
Speaker A: We call this the John: Speaker A:So how do you.
Speaker A:How do you know whether the thoughts that you're thinking are good thoughts?
Speaker A:Our God Thoughts are demonic.
Speaker A:Thoughts are just thoughts of, you know, just come out of your brain, the back side of your brain from somewhere.
Speaker A: Well, the John: Speaker A:And we.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And this is what our ministry is based on, actually.
Speaker A:It says the thief does not come except to steal, to kill and to destroy.
Speaker A:And I have come that they may have life and they may have it more abundantly.
Speaker A:So you can ask yourself what this thought?
Speaker A:You know, you take that phone, you isolate it.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:Remember, a thought is not.
Speaker B:Not sin.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:It's not a thought.
Speaker B:We're all going to have thoughts.
Speaker B:Jesus had thoughts, right?
Speaker B:Like the enemy tempted him in Luke 4 with the thought of turning this stone into bread, or bowing down the need to Satan, or jumping off the steeple.
Speaker B:Jesus had those thoughts, but he didn't sin.
Speaker B:So he did what 2nd Corinthians 10, verse 5 says.
Speaker B:2Nd Corinthians 10, verse 5 say, bringing every thought into captivity to the beatings of Christ.
Speaker B:So whenever you have a thought in your mind, especially if it's a repetitive thought.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:You know, something you're thinking a lot about, take that into captivity.
Speaker B:So imagine this.
Speaker A:Isolate it in your.
Speaker B:Isolate that thought.
Speaker A:Put that thought down.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:So you can see it, you know, analyze it.
Speaker B:It's really.
Speaker B:It's really important.
Speaker B:You know, this is something that they even teach in secular counseling, all that to think about your thoughts.
Speaker B:Sometimes you don't realize it's important to think about our thoughts.
Speaker B:You are not just your thoughts, you're a spirit.
Speaker B:So if you're thinking something, almost like, step back and look and think, what am I thinking about right now?
Speaker B:Why am I thinking about this?
Speaker B:So think about your thoughts.
Speaker B:And if you're thinking about something, especially if it's repetitive, take that thought, captive, like Carly saying, isolate that thought.
Speaker B:2Nd Corinthians 10:5.
Speaker B: , and then line it up to John: Speaker B: you can line up to, but John: Speaker B:Is this thought going to lead to stealing, killing and destroying, or is this thought going to lead to life and life more abundantly?
Speaker B:So is the thought about, I'm going to run out of money, I'm going to lose my job, the economy is going down, what am I going to do if my boss fires me and all that?
Speaker B:That's.
Speaker B:That's a thought that's leading to fear and leading to, you know, like, looking down and thinking killing, ultimately stealing, killing, destroying.
Speaker B:It's a thought that's not godly.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:But if you're thinking a thought like, man, I'd love to bless that person today and love to help them, that's a thought that's going to life and life more abundantly.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:So, I mean, this is.
Speaker A:This is really important.
Speaker A:Look at this.
Speaker A:This is in Psalm 138, verse 2.
Speaker A:It says.
Speaker A:Actually, it's not quoted in there.
Speaker A:Can you look that one up for me?
Speaker B:Which one is that?
Speaker A:100?
Speaker A:This is Psalm 138.
Speaker B:Psalm 138, verse 2 says, I will worship towards you your holy temple and praise your name for your loving kindness and your truth for you have magnified your word above your name.
Speaker B:Amen.
Speaker B:It means that the Lord's word is final authority.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:Absolute final authority.

Speaker A:If it is, it's not from God.
Speaker B:And let me just say this, I'm saying this out, love, because I love you.
Speaker B:We love you.
Speaker B:That's why we're doing these live streams.
Speaker B:If you keep thinking things like, I'm a failure, I'm no good, I'm never gonna make it.
Speaker B:No one likes me.
Speaker B:I'm not gonna break through, you know, free, I'm never going to get free of this.
Speaker B:God doesn't love me.
Speaker B:I can't hear God's voice.
Speaker B:I'm no good for nothing.
Speaker B:I'm always sinning.
Speaker B:I'm, you know, if you have those.
Speaker A:Thoughts, I'm just telling you toxic thoughts.
Speaker B:They are not godly thoughts.
Speaker B:They are not God's thoughts.
Speaker B:And you are actually agreeing with the enemy rather than agreeing with God.

Speaker A:Because while you're so busy hearing from your own flesh, you are dialing the tuna the wrong way.

Speaker A:Right.

Speaker B:We're talking about especially repetitive thoughts.
Speaker B:We talk about strongholds.
Speaker A:This is strongholds.
Speaker B:Strongholds are built brick by brick.
Speaker B:It's like you're a fortress built brick by brick.
Speaker B:And if you keep thinking these thoughts, you're building a stronghold.
Speaker B:It's doing take an effort.
Speaker B:That's why Romans 12 talks about renewing your mind.
Speaker B:It's going to take an effort to renew your mind, to take those, those thoughts apart and actually break those strongholds down thought by thought.
Speaker B:Because otherwise you're going to filter everything through those thoughts.
Speaker B:So someone could come up to you.
Speaker B:I've struggled with this myself.
Speaker B:Someone up to you say, oh, man, you did a great job there.
Speaker B:That was awesome.
Speaker B:Good job, Ashley.
Speaker B:Well done.
Speaker B:And I'll say, oh, thank you.
Speaker B:Then in my thoughts, I'm thinking they're just saying that to be kind or.
Speaker A:I didn't really mean.
Speaker B:They didn't really mean it, really.
Speaker B:They're just saying that because, you know, maybe they want something from me or they just want to be polite and everything else.
Speaker B:I didn't do a very good job.
Speaker B:So I'm actually, rightly.
Speaker B:I'm actually dismissing other people's thoughts because I'm.
Speaker B:I'm filtering them through a thinking pattern of, you know, no one likes me or rejection or insecurity.
Speaker A:And the bigger danger in that is if we don't deal with that, that mindset, that filter, those strongholds in our thinking, we'll start projecting that onto how God sees us.
Speaker A:So we start thinking, God doesn't really mean that when he tells me he loves me.
Speaker A:God doesn't, you know, when I see that scripture in the word, that doesn't really apply to me.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker A:We'll start to exempt ourselves out of the promises of God and have a wrong perception of who God thinks that we really are.
Speaker A:That is a.
Speaker A:That's a major problem.
Speaker A:So if you, if you're listening to this thinking, you know what they're talking about me, then get one of those confession cards because it's really going to help you to start retraining your brain and tuning into hearing the voice of God.
Speaker B:Get rid of those toxic thoughts.
Speaker B:If you're thinking bad, put it another way, the way you think about yourself, would you say that about someone else?
Speaker B:Would you say that about someone that you love or, you know, family members that.
Speaker B:You wouldn't, would you?
Speaker B:So stop thinking those things yourself.
Speaker B:Because, you know, it's.
Speaker B:It's.
Speaker B:If you think those things about yourself and you and you, and you think about what you're thinking about and think.
Speaker B:I would never say that to my friend.
Speaker A:Why are you thinking about you?
Speaker B:I wouldn't say that to my enemy.
Speaker B:I wouldn't say that to a stranger.
Speaker B:Be kinder to yourself because God sees you very differently than that.
Speaker B:God sees you as a success.
Speaker B:God sees you as, as his loved, you know, beloved child.
Speaker B:So start agreeing with God rather than agreeing with your toxic thoughts, and that will change a lot of things.
Speaker A:Listen, this is a.
Speaker A:This is a word for someone.
Speaker A:The Lord just dropped this phrase into me.
Speaker A:He says, don't curse what I've blessed Oh, come on.
Speaker B:That's good.
Speaker B:Carly.
Speaker A:I just heard that on the inside of me.
Speaker A:I just heard God say that just came.
Speaker A:I wasn't thinking about that.
Speaker A:We just came right in this.
Speaker A:The Holy Spirit bringing something to my remembrance.
Speaker A:Don't curse what I've blessed so good.
Speaker A:When you speak negatively about yourself, when you believe the wrong things about yourself, you're.
Speaker A:You're speaking curses over something that God has blessed, that he created, that he died for.
Speaker A:Man, you're far too precious for that.

Speaker B:A good word.
Speaker B:So every time, every time you say I'm no good, I'm not going to make it.
Speaker B:I'm going to, you know, I'm out to nothing, nobody likes me.
Speaker B:All those other thoughts or here's another one.
Speaker B:Oh, don't be so stupid.
Speaker B:You know, don't be so stupid.
Speaker A:Oh, man, that's a very English phrase.
Speaker B:Oh, don't be so stupid.
Speaker B:Sometimes they'll actually say in the third person, oh, don't be so stupid, Ashley.
Speaker B:Or Ashley.
Speaker B:Why'd you always get that wrong?
Speaker B:Ashley?
Speaker B:You know, it's actually, it's terrible.
Speaker B:You're actually speaking to yourself negatively.
Speaker B:Turn that around.
Speaker B:Even the world knows this.
Speaker B:Turn that around with positive affirmations and actually speak the truth.
Speaker B:The world does it, like fake it till you make it.
Speaker B:We do it because it's the truth.
Speaker B:The truth is in Christ.
Speaker B:You could do all things.
Speaker B:Yeah, all things are possible for those who believe you are loved by God.
Speaker B:So start speaking those things.
Speaker B:It's going to take a little bit of time to actually reprogram yourself.
Speaker B:It actually takes an effort.
Speaker B:You're going to have to be proactive to do this.
Speaker A:But if you do it pathways in your brain.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker B:You can literally, you can literally create new connections in your brain that actually positive rather than negative.
Speaker B:And it can make so much difference until you can agree with God.
Speaker B:And as you agree with God, you'll hear his voice clearer because now you'll be open to hear his voice.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Okay, now this is another one.
Speaker A:This is a little bit more vague.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:But God can speak to us through people and circumstances.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And I think this is.
Speaker A:And he can.
Speaker A:And, and he has in, in our life.
Speaker A:But I would just say don't go to their first.
Speaker A:My first work, my first way to hear God is always through His Word.
Speaker A:He sent his word.
Speaker A:Psalm 107, 20, one of my favorite scriptures.
Speaker A:He sent in His Word and healed you and delivered you from all your destructions.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:His Word is unchanging.
Speaker A:It's the same yesterday, today and forever.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Speaker A:God magnified his word even above his name.
Speaker B:He said his Word and he sent his.
Speaker A:Yeah.
Speaker A:He who keeps stayed upon the Lord is kept in perfect peace.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:There's.
Speaker A:I mean the word of God is your weapon of warfare.
Speaker A:It is your defense.
Speaker A:I mean it is a sword.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:I mean the word of God was written and Jesus used against the enemy.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:He rebuked the enemy with the word by saying it is written.
Speaker A:So the word of God is the primary way that we hear from God.
Speaker A:But God can speak to us through all of these other ways as well.
Speaker A:And people and circumstances is one of them.
Speaker A:Although it wouldn't be my, it wouldn't be my go to.
Speaker B:No, no.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:It's gonna be a confirmation.
Speaker B:And like, just like we, we said earlier, you know that people can speak of, you know, the enemy can use.
Speaker B:People speak to you like Peter, you know, Peter spoke to Jesus.
Speaker B:That was the enemy speaking for Peter.
Speaker B:Something could be loved ones.
Speaker B:Now they don't know.
Speaker B:They're just trying to be kind orever and they can be speaking something against what the Lord's speaking to.
Speaker B:So, and circumstances the same.
Speaker B:Some people say, well, it's been so difficult.
Speaker B:I'm facing so much opposition.
Speaker B:It's so difficult, I must be on the wrong path.
Speaker B:This must not be God.
Speaker B:Or they'll say, it's so difficult, I'm facing so many, so many bad circumstances, so much opposition.
Speaker B:It must be God.
Speaker B:Because the enemy is pushing back.
Speaker B:So they can use difficult circumstances to mean it's God or the enemy.
Speaker B:The same of easy circle.
Speaker B:Everything just went right, doors open, it was easy, no resistance, it must be God.
Speaker B:And I've heard the same people say, well, doors are open, it's easy, no resistance.
Speaker B:You know it can't be God because you know it must be the enemy.
Speaker B:Don't rely on circumstances.
Speaker B:Can God speak through them?
Speaker B:Yes, but they're way lower.
Speaker B:Don't, don't rely on circumstances or people because it can be fleeting, it can be back and forth.
Speaker A:And let me just say there is a big difference between Old Testament and New Testament.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:And one of the ways that people elevate circumstances even in modern day prophecy is they start prophesying like they're an Old Testament prophet and God doesn't relate to us as New Testament believers through Old Testament prophets anymore.
Speaker A:This is really important.
Speaker A:If you see a New Testament prophet prophesying like an Old Testament prophet.
Speaker A:They are out of position.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:And this is really important.
Speaker A:In the Old Testament, God spoke through circumstances because the Holy Spirit hadn't come upon people at that time.
Speaker A:You know, he spoke through the physical nature.
Speaker A:He spoke through fire and clouds of, you know, pillars and clouds and angels, right.
Speaker A:And, and physical signs and wonders a lot because they, the people of the time were not spiritually discerned the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:Jesus hadn't died and rose again and the Holy Spirit hadn't come and to live and dwell in the hearts of man.
Speaker A:So that's why he had to speak to them through circumstances.
Speaker A:So yes, sometimes God might speak, he might confirm things through circumstances, but he doesn't predominantly speak to us the same way through circumstances that he did in the Old Testament because we have the Holy Spirit now.
Speaker A:And this even goes.
Speaker A:Let me just say this to people that are all the end times.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:I'm just going to go there because, you know, even Jesus says, you know, what you can discern to the Pharisees, he says, you can discern the color of the sky, but you don't.
Speaker A:You can't discern the signs of the times.
Speaker A:In other words, he was saying, you know, you can look for these physical things, but you can't.
Speaker A:You're not spiritually discerned enough to know that what I'm doing in this moment, right.
Speaker A:He wasn't talking about the physical signs and the, in this, that and the other.
Speaker A:He said, yeah, some of those things are going to happen.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:But remember, look for what I'm doing, look, be spiritually discerning things, not looking for circumstances and getting all wrapped up in.
Speaker A:Oh, you know what?
Speaker A:When this star gets to this point and this bit gets over here, you know what?
Speaker A:It's a massive distraction.
Speaker A:A massive distraction.
Speaker A:And so don't be, don't be so wrapped up enamored with sensationalism that more so than you are enamored with the word of God.
Speaker B:Come on, it's good.
Speaker A:With the Holy Spirit on the inside.
Speaker B:Of you, God is a present God.
Speaker B:He's present today to help you today.
Speaker B:This is the day of the Lord.
Speaker B:This is the day of salvation.
Speaker B:God wants to set you free today from that addiction.
Speaker B:He wants to heal your marriage, he wants to heal your body.
Speaker B:He wants to prosper you financially.
Speaker B:Keep looking at the future is actually can be a distraction.
Speaker B:There's nothing wrong with studying Hawaii in the past.
Speaker A:You'll miss the present.
Speaker A:You'll miss what God is doing right now.
Speaker B:Creation and end times.
Speaker B:It's okay, to study those things.
Speaker B:But if you get enamored with them and it's actually distracting you from actually learning about God's presence right now, then that could be dangerous.
Speaker B:You know, creation, simple as this.
Speaker B:I know who did it and why I did it, how he did it.
Speaker B:I don't have to know end times.
Speaker B:I know who's.
Speaker B:Who's coming back.
Speaker B:I know why it's coming back.
Speaker B:I know I'm safe.
Speaker B:I don't have to know all the details.
Speaker A:I know where I've come from, and I know where I'm going to.
Speaker B:I want to know what's now.
Speaker B:I want to know God's presence.
Speaker B:What's God doing right now in my life, in my marriage, in my wife's life, in my children's life, my grandchildren's life.
Speaker B:What's he doing with my neighbors?
Speaker B:How can I minister to people?
Speaker B:How can I set people free?
Speaker B:How can I introduce more people to Jesus?
Speaker B:That's what I'm interested in today.
Speaker B:So don't get so distracted with those other things that you're not actually living in the present moment with God.
Speaker B:Be present with God.
Speaker B:He's.
Speaker B:He wants to be present with you.
Speaker A:Jesus says, I'm about my Father's business.
Speaker A:And, you know, sometimes God doesn't speak everything to us.
Speaker A:You know, he'll speak different things to different people because he tells you what he wants you to do.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:He tells you what your job is, what your business is, what your assignment is.
Speaker A:And if we're so worried about what God is saying to somebody else about something else, we're going to miss what God is saying to us about our life in the here and now.
Speaker A:You know, if.
Speaker A:If we're so worried about something that we can't.
Speaker A:We don't have any authority over, we won't even take authority about the things that we do have authority over.
Speaker A:Man.
Speaker A:It'll be.
Speaker A:It's such.
Speaker A:Such a big distraction.
Speaker A:I want to.
Speaker A:I want to leave you with this scripture, and then I want to get.
Speaker A:Praying for you as well.
Speaker A:In John 16, verse 13 and 14, it says this.
Speaker A:However, when he, that spirit of truth has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears, he will speak.
Speaker A:And he will tell you things to come, and he will glorify me, for he will take.
Speaker A:He will take of what is mine and declare it for to you.
Speaker A:The job of the Holy Spirit, literally, is to take things from the heart of the Father and to declare them to you and to Lead you into all truth.
Speaker B:So good.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:And so we want to, we want to pray for you.
Speaker A:And I hope this has been a practical thing that's encouraged you.
Speaker A:Today you can hear the voice of God.
Speaker A:You were created for that purpose.
Speaker A:God created you with the ability to hear him, to be guided by him, to be directed by Him.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:And to be impacted by Him.
Speaker A:These are very important.
Speaker A:This, this ability to hear God is something that comes out of your relationship with God.
Speaker A:Your relationship with God through the Word, your relationship with God through the Holy Spirit, through your personal prayer language, through praise and worship.
Speaker A:And if you focus on those things, it's actually going to help you greatly to really affirm God's Word on the inside of you and walk in his promises.
Speaker A:Including healing.
Speaker A:Including healing.
Speaker A:And the ability to hear God is also, you know what all of the other spiritual gifts rely upon.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:So.
Speaker A:And the clearer that you tune in through your own relationship with God, the easier that you can minister to other people and receive the promises of God in your own body.
Speaker A:Hugely, hugely important.
Speaker B:Someone needs to declare that.
Speaker B:I hear God's voice.
Speaker B:I can hear God's voice.
Speaker B:I hear God's voice.
Speaker B:Somebody declare that.
Speaker B:Start writing that.
Speaker B:Say, I hear God's voice.
Speaker B:Make that your confession.
Speaker B:Start thanking God.
Speaker B:Say God, thank you that I can hear your voice.
Speaker B:Thank you, Lord.
Speaker B:I hear your voice clearly and I know which way to go.
Speaker B:I hear your voice.
Speaker B:So declare that.
Speaker B:Make that your new declaration, your new confession over the next few days.
Speaker B:I hear God's voice.
Speaker B:That's a great confession.

Speaker A:There's been some really penetrating damaging thoughts that, that have pierced into people's dreams.

Speaker A:These are these, these are even repetitive lies that have been picked up and spoken generationally.
Speaker A:And right now, in Jesus name we declare of those words that they will come to nothing, man.
Speaker A:We command those thoughts to leave, to be quashed.
Speaker A:In Jesus name we put them in the jail.
Speaker A:We declare you a lie and you're a null and void.
Speaker A:In Jesus name.
Speaker A:I thank you Lord, that you have given us not a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Speaker A:Thank you Holy Spirit, that you're leading us into all truth.
Speaker A:You're illuminating the word to us and bringing revelation as we read it.
Speaker A:And right now, in Jesus name, we take authority over every single sickness and every disease.
Speaker A:We command disease process to be reversed.

Speaker A:Disease process be reversed in Jesus name.

Speaker A:Somebody's had this phrase, disease progression in your medical notes.

Speaker A:We command that disease to go back to where it came from.
Speaker A:We command it to repent, to regress in Jesus name.
Speaker A:We command the enemy to back off in Jesus.
Speaker A:And we command every ability somebody's had, abilities slowly stolen.
Speaker A:It's been really subtle, but I see something.
Speaker A:You've had abilities slowly stolen from you.
Speaker A:Abilities to move, abilities to stand, abilities to grip and to balance, to feel.
Speaker A:Right now.
Speaker A:We command those abilities to be returned to you.
Speaker A:We command that feeling to be restored, that muscle strength to be restored, that grip strength, that balance, that equilibrium to be restored.
Speaker A:We command.
Speaker A:There's even somebody.
Speaker A:You have a fluid in your inner ear and it's causing you to be off balance right now.
Speaker A:We command that balance to be restored to you.

Speaker B:You'll never amount to anything.
Speaker B:You'll never get ahead.
Speaker B:You'll never be, you know, you'll never be well, you'll never be prosperous.

Speaker B:You'll always be poor.
Speaker B:We break those lies off in Jesus name.
Speaker B:Thank God all things are possible for those who believe.
Speaker A:Yeah, there's a restoration.
Speaker A:I see this phrase restoration.

Speaker A:There's a restoration of, of relationships.

Speaker A:I see somebody being picked up, up from one location and literally, literally picked up and moved to another location.

Speaker A:They've been picked up actually.
Speaker A:I see this is really specific.
Speaker A:I see someone that's in the middle of fields.
Speaker A:I don't know why that is, but they're, it's like they found themselves.
Speaker A:They don't want to be there.
Speaker A:They're in the middle of fields.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:It's a remote location.
Speaker A:God is literally picking them up and he's moving them back to where they were taken from.
Speaker A:And this is like almost like a deliverance situation.
Speaker A:A restoration, a returning.
Speaker A:A returning situation.
Speaker A:Thank you, Lord.
Speaker A:Thank you, Lord.
Speaker A:That things that the enemy has stolen, people that the enemy have taken.
Speaker A:Right now he's going to have to bring them back.

Speaker A:There are lies right now that have been broken.

Speaker A:That the scatter scales are falling off their eyes.

Speaker A:So hearing and seeing, these are things I think we should pray to.

Speaker A:We command ears to open in Jesus name and eyes to see.
Speaker A:That's physical and spiritual.
Speaker A:Ears to open and, and, and eyes to see In Jesus name we command that vision to come back to you.
Speaker A:That hearing loss to be.

Speaker A:Hearing to be restored.

Speaker A:And you don't even realize it's demonic.

Speaker A:You are a blood bought child of Christ the King and no demonic entity can put you down.

Speaker A:It's time to stand up, shake the dust off your feet and say, that's not who I am.

Speaker A:There, there is a weariness that comes from fighting a long battle.
Speaker A:And I see people that are really battle weary.
Speaker A:And you know, it's, it's, it's time to get around people that are, that are alongside you.
Speaker A:You know, I'm thinking of Moses and he had Aaron and Aaron and her right.
Speaker A:That held up his arms and you know, because the whole time he has his arms raised, they were winning the battle.
Speaker A:Yeah, but as he got battle weary, you know, just the physical gravity was working against him and his arms started to drop and they started to lose the battle.
Speaker A:And the Lord is showing me there's someone.
Speaker A:You've had your arms up, but you've gotten a little battle weary.
Speaker A:And every time they go down, the symptoms start to come up.
Speaker A:It's time to get around people that will hold your, that will hold your arms up.
Speaker A:This battle is not yours, but the Lord's Come on.
Speaker A:And it's already won.
Speaker A:It's already won.
Speaker A:It's already declared victory over you.
Speaker A:And I feel like your place just stand in a place of victory.
Speaker A:Don't be moved from that place of worship.
