Jesus Paid for Your Healing
Welcome to the first lesson of the School of Supernatural Healing. In this episode of Power Hour, Carlie Terradez lays a foundation for understanding that healing is not random, mysterious, or reserved for a few—it is part of what Jesus already paid for through the atonement.
If you have ever wondered whether healing is really God’s will, whether it is still available today, or why some people seem to receive while others struggle, this episode is for you. Carlie walks through key scriptures to show that healing is included in salvation, that faith comes by hearing the Word of God, and that God’s nature has always been to bring life, restoration, and wholeness.
This message will help you move beyond confusion and begin building your faith for healing on the truth of God’s Word rather than on past experiences. Whether you are believing for healing in your own body or want to minister healing to others, this is a powerful place to start.

Speaker A:Well, I'm your host, Kylie Terradez, and this podcast is created from the weekly live streams that I do every Thursday at 1pm Mountain time.
Speaker A:Whether you tune in live or listen later, this message is something that you can receive today.
Speaker A:Let's get started.
Speaker A:And welcome to Power Hour.
Speaker A:It's that time again.
Speaker A:I'm excited to be here with you.
Speaker A: rst, first live power hour of: Speaker A:Man, I'm excited.
Speaker A:I can't believe it's a whole brand new year again.
Speaker A:Well, we sure hope that you enjoyed your Christmas and your new year.
Speaker A:We're expecting good things.
Speaker A: The best is yet to come in: Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:That's what we're believing for today.
Speaker A:Let's take a moment and pray before we get into the word of God.
Speaker A:And then we're going to pray for your paracus at the end.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:So Father God, I thank you, thank you, thank you, Lord, that you give us this time together.
Speaker A:Thank you, Lord, that you.
Speaker A:That you love us so much, that you have such good things planned for us this year.
Speaker A:Thank you, Lord for your word to us today.
Speaker A:And, and Lord, we ask that you give us ears to hear and a mind to understand and a heart to receive everything that you have for us today.
Speaker A:In Jesus name, amen.
Speaker A:Awesome.
Speaker A:Well, we're going to be.
Speaker A:We're going to be starting the.
Speaker A:The school of supernatural healing.
Speaker A:The school of supernatural healing is going to start and we're going to follow this theme all the way through, well, through the big chunk of the year.
Speaker A:We'll see how, how many weeks it takes us.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:But the first lesson we're going to start with, we're going to start right at the very beginning.
Speaker A:You know, so healing is one of those things that for so many people it seems so elusive.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:Maybe you have an experience, maybe you've experienced something supernatural healing in your body.
Speaker A:Maybe you've heard a testimony of somebody that has experienced supernatural healing in their body.
Speaker A:Maybe you've watched somebody be prayed for, you know, at church or a meeting, and you've witnessed that.
Speaker A:Maybe if, you know, they've seen it, seen a testament on the, on the television or heard a podcast.
Speaker A:But you know, people's measure, people's experience of, of what the supernatural varies greatly.
Speaker A:So we're really going to get started in this course and we're going to go through from the grassroots level, from the, from.
Speaker A:We're going to look at A lot of scripture, we're going to get into the Word of God and we're going to build that foundation each week.
Speaker A:So people, it doesn't matter where you come into this at, understand that, you know, if we follow the process and we let the Word of God be our instructor, we let the Holy Spirit be our teacher, you know, that word isn't just going to be up here, but it's going to become revelation to us and it's going to help us to receive everything that the Lord has for us personally, but also give us the confidence to be his hands and feet and minister healing to other people, hurting people in this world.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:So this is super, super powerful.
Speaker A:You know, when I was growing up, I didn't grow up in a Christian home.
Speaker A:I got born again when I was around 17.
Speaker A:And my whole life I had suffered with various different, pretty serious physical conditions.
Speaker A:And even when I got born again, you know, it was kind of survival up to that point.
Speaker A:Even when I got born again, the church that I started going to, they believed that God could heal if he wanted to.
Speaker A:But we know we never saw any supernatural healing in our church.
Speaker A:The really, the supernatural aspects of, of the New Testament were complete and God's nature were completely missing in our experience.
Speaker A:And I don't know whether that was every church that was around the area that I lived in or just the church that I was in.
Speaker A:What I do know is that church, and I'm very thankful they taught us the Word of God.
Speaker A:We just didn't really have revelation to understand some of the bits we didn't understand.
Speaker A:So we had some missing pieces.
Speaker A:And, you know, my church was really good at, I mean, experts at getting people saved and getting people water baptized.
Speaker A:But when it came to the supernatural aspects of God, we really didn't, we didn't hear much about it in church.
Speaker A:I think mainly that was because people just didn't really understand it, you know, and so people kind of naturally shy away from things they don't understand.
Speaker A:So as somebody coming into the church and that had a lot of physical problems, you know, we didn't, we didn't.
Speaker A:Church wasn't somewhere to really go to with those physical needs.
Speaker A:And we responded when we got sick, like just like our unsafe neighbors did.
Speaker A:You know, we went to the doctor, we went to the therapist, we went to the hospital.
Speaker A:You know, we took the treatment, we got the X rays, whatever we need to do, took the medicine.
Speaker A:So we didn't really go.
Speaker A:We were not trained.
Speaker A:It wasn't part of our understanding when we got sick to look into the word of God.
Speaker A:Now, you know, we love the Lord.
Speaker A:We, you know, we believed in, in spiritual gifts, but we believed in spiritual gifts, but we, we were completely ignorant of how they operated or really how to receive from God in a supernatural sense.
Speaker A:So in our understanding, you know, sure, healing was possible.
Speaker A:Everything's possible because, you know, God's got the power.
Speaker A:That was never the issue.
Speaker A:But, you know, we, we kind of felt like, well, it's all up to him.
Speaker A:It's almost like a bit of a supernatural lottery.
Speaker A:Like if God wanted to heal me, he could, you know, but I'm just waiting him.
Speaker A:And I think, you know, a lot of people maybe come from that background.
Speaker A:Well, there's some, there's some fundamental flaws with that.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:First of all, salvation is an automatic.
Speaker A:Now we know in the scripture that salvation is for everyone.
Speaker A:You know, Jesus died for everyone.
Speaker A:He wanted to have, he wanted everyone to be, to be saved, to, to have eternal life, to, to.
Speaker A:To have surety of heaven on the inside of them.
Speaker A:You know, John 3:16, we know that scripture so well.
Speaker A:For God so loved the world that he gave his only son.
Speaker A:So they may not perish, but have eternal life.
Speaker A:Now we're talking about salvation in that, in the context of that scripture.
Speaker A:But eternal life doesn't just start when you get to heaven.
Speaker A:Eternal life starts the moment that you receive salvation.
Speaker A:He says.
Speaker A:He.
Speaker A:He so loved the world.
Speaker A:So as an act of love, God sent his very own son to be the Savior, a savior for our sins so that we don't have to bear the consequence of our sin, the separation of us and God anymore.
Speaker A:There is now no gap.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Because of Jesus, the Lord is not holding our sin against us.
Speaker A:He placed all of his sin, all of our sin on the cross of Christ.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:And so now we can receive salvation and walk in the full benefit package of salvation.
Speaker A:Now, there's a lot of things that happened on the cross and what we.
Speaker A:We refer to that as the atonement.
Speaker A:Now, the word atonement is not one that we just generally throw around in our everyday language, okay?
Speaker A:But the atonement is referring to the package that was paid for at, at salvation.
Speaker A:That, that, that death, burial, and subsequent resurrection of Christ paid for us to have the fullness of abundant life.
Speaker A:That means everything that the enemy came to throw at mankind, to hold against mankind before we were even born, because of the sins of Adam and Eve, Every, every, every chapter charge that the enemy had against mankind.
Speaker A:Sin, sickness, just torment, right?
Speaker A:Bondage all of those things were placed.
Speaker A:All of the consequences of those things, the payment for those sins were placed upon Jesus on the cross.
Speaker A:And because of that, because of his sacrifice as he took our, this, our sins and our punishment, you know, we get to have an exchanged life in Christ.
Speaker A:We don't.
Speaker A:That means that we get all of the freedoms that he paid for us to have, but we don't have to make the payment for it because he's already paid his blood on the cross, his sacrifice on the cross, the stripes that he took on his back forever, will be enough to pay for you to walk in freedom, to pay for you and I to walk the abundant life.
Speaker A: built on the scripture, John: Speaker A:And it is the thief that comes to kill, steal and destroy, but it's Jesus that comes to give us life and life more abundantly.
Speaker A:You know, the abundant life is so real to us, we, in fact, we.
Speaker A:I don't think I have one here, but we wrote an entire 365 day devotional called the Abundant Life 365.
Speaker A:It's crucial to the underpinning of why even terrorist ministries exists.
Speaker A:But the abundant life is something that, that people are often living far below the standard at which Jesus paid for them to live at.
Speaker A:If, you know it's the enemy that comes to kill, steal and destroy.
Speaker A:If we put this in the context of healing, we could definitely say that sickness and disease falls into that category.
Speaker A:It comes to kill, it comes to steal, and it comes to destroy.
Speaker A:Okay, it comes to destroy.
Speaker A:So when we look at sickness and disease, if we have to put it into one pot called the from the enemy or another pot called from God on the pot that's labeled from the enemy.
Speaker A:Everything that came to kill, steal, destroy would be in that pot.
Speaker A:Sickness in that pot, disease in that pot.
Speaker A:But the other pot would be labeled life and life more abundantly.
Speaker A:Things that come from God, right, Jesus.
Speaker A:Things that come from Jesus.
Speaker A:Life and life more abundantly.
Speaker A:If we had sickness, we wouldn't be putting that in that pot, right?
Speaker A:Because no one that has experienced, and as somebody that's experienced a lot of chronic sickness and disease during my lifetime, you know, I can, I can say that, you know, no sickness and no disease ever brought me life or life more abundantly.
Speaker A:Now, somewhere in the middle of that, you could have a third pot.
Speaker A:And that pot in the middle would be things we're confused about.
Speaker A:And you know, sometimes our religious or denominational or, or our ignorance, our upbringing in some way can leave a Lot more things in that muddle pot.
Speaker A:Things that we don't understand, things that we're confused about.
Speaker A:We're not really sure whether they come from God or whether they come from the enemy.
Speaker A:So I'm going to.
Speaker A:I'm going to propose to you today that anything that you find in that pot that you're not sure about, get those things out in your mind's eye.
Speaker A:You know, you might have, I don't know, divorce, you might have loss of a loved one, grief.
Speaker A:You might have financial struggles.
Speaker A:You know, whatever's on there.
Speaker A:You might have physical illness.
Speaker A:You take that out of that pot, that's in the middle.
Speaker A:Things we're confused about.
Speaker A:You say now does.
Speaker A: cripture in looking from John: Speaker A:Just keep it simple.
Speaker A:And I found that good things come from God.
Speaker A:They fit over in this pot, life and life more abundantly.
Speaker A:And bad things come from the devil.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:That's real elementary.
Speaker A:Good things come from God and bad things come from the devil.
Speaker A:And when we.
Speaker A:When we get into scripture and allow scripture to actually interpret our own experiences, rather than experience, interpret the scripture, will find it starts to make a lot more sense.
Speaker A:You see, for many years, because I did.
Speaker A:I had.
Speaker A:I had sickness and disease.
Speaker A:The things that I was struggling with in that middle pot, these are things I don't understand.
Speaker A:I was attributing this to God's will.
Speaker A:Well, if I'm sick, it must be God's will, because I know he has the power to heal me.
Speaker A:But then, you know, here I am, I'm still sick, and I didn't know which pot to put those in because, you know, sometimes our experiences will lie to us.
Speaker A:Sometimes we've.
Speaker A:We've heard things that have really misinterpreted the scripture and it causes confusion.
Speaker A:If you're confused about something, know this.
Speaker A:God is never the author of confusion.
Speaker A:There's only one person that's the author of confusion according to the Scriptures, and that's the enemy.
Speaker A:He's the deceiver.
Speaker A:He comes.
Speaker A:That's all he does, is he comes to deceive the brethren, and he's the author of confusion.
Speaker A:But God is neither of those.
Speaker A:He's neither a deceiver, neither is he the author of confusion.
Speaker A:He only comes to give life and life more abundantly.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:So that's going to help us A little bit, right?
Speaker A:So these questions, you know, Christian questions that people have about healing, is healing real?
Speaker A:Is healing, is it available today?
Speaker A:Is God even willing for super.
Speaker A:Is supernatural healing even, you know, God even willing, right?
Speaker A:What is, what is God's will regarding this?
Speaker A:Does he still heal today?
Speaker A:What about this?
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:If God, if healing is God's will, why isn't everyone healed?
Speaker A:Man, we can't really move on in our understanding of healing until we answer some of these really foundational questions, because there's going to be like a missing piece.
Speaker A:It's going to be like, you know, that, that question in the back of our mind, is God is, is healing real?
Speaker A:Well, I can tell you from Testament now we can read the scripture.
Speaker A:If you read the New Testament, you're going to see everything that Jesus did was going around healing people, even in the Old Testament.
Speaker A:And you're going to see he's.
Speaker A:He's still Jehovah Rapha.
Speaker A:He's still the God that heals.
Speaker A:He says, I'm the God who heals thee.
Speaker A:He's still a healing God.
Speaker A:Healing is still part of the Old Testament.
Speaker A:And you say, well, is healing real?
Speaker A:Well, what if we don't believe in the Bible?
Speaker A:Okay, let's take it outside of scripture for a moment.
Speaker A:What about your physical body?
Speaker A:Did you know that your body is created?
Speaker A:Just look at the biology, right?
Speaker A:Just look at the science here.
Speaker A:Even science will back up that healing is real because your body has an immune system.
Speaker A:It was created by God in his image to heal itself, to have an immune system.
Speaker A:You know, you can look at creation, you know, even animals, even, even plants, if they get injured or animals, if they get hurt, they've even given enough time that that that plant or that, you know, that that natural organism, that animal will have a healing process on the inside of itself.
Speaker A:You could say that God's creation is designed with an ability to heal.
Speaker A:Everything that is made in God's image is made by God has a.
Speaker A:An ability to heal and to reproduce.
Speaker A:If, see, everything that God touches has life.
Speaker A:The things that God created have a reproductive capacity within them.
Speaker A:It has a capacity in creation to bring life.
Speaker A:This is one of the reasons why we know that God's original intent was for healing.
Speaker A:Because life is healing.
Speaker A:And everything that God creates has.
Speaker A:You know, it brings life and it brings multiplication.
Speaker A:God's creation replicates itself.
Speaker A:You think about this back in the first chapter of the Bible, in Genesis, when God created the world, he created every tree, every herb, every animal with the ability to procreate to reproduce after its own kind.
Speaker A:You know, apple trees don't produce oranges, you know, zebras don't produce giraffes.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:They have to reproduce over their own kind.
Speaker A:When he created mankind, he gave them the ability to bring life and reproduce after their own kind.
Speaker A:There's some spiritual laws that happened in the moment of creation that we still see today.
Speaker A:You know, those reproductive, those healing properties, those immune systems, those capacities are still at large today.
Speaker A:So how do we know that healing is real?
Speaker A:Look out the window.
Speaker A:Look at creation.
Speaker A:Look at your own body.
Speaker A:Watch your children grow and develop.
Speaker A:There is life.
Speaker A:There is cells reproducing.
Speaker A:There is bones of the lengthening.
Speaker A:There is.
Speaker A:You know, if you.
Speaker A:I studied biology, you know, through my nursing background when I was a nurse, I do biology and it was always my favorite subject because I loved seeing how creation developed.
Speaker A:If you just look at how, you know, the life cycle of the life and the growth of a unborn child, a child in the womb, how those cells come together and, and life is right there at conception.
Speaker A:Energy, life right there.
Speaker A:The moment that the egg and the sperm meet man, that's a, that's a picture of the power of God and he's and his intention to bring life and power and energy, abundant life right there encapsulated in that one miracle.
Speaker A:Man is so powerful.
Speaker A:So powerful, right?
Speaker A:So here's the thing.
Speaker A:You know, sometimes we look and we look around us and we look at our experiences and we think, well, you know, there's so much sickness and disease in world.
Speaker A:There's so many.
Speaker A:There's so much destruction in the world.
Speaker A:There's so much hate in the world.
Speaker A:There's so many hateful people and hateful experiences in the world that, you know, if God was real, how could a loving God allow some of these atrocities to happen, right?
Speaker A:And people would put sickness and disease and you know, babies dying and, and tragic, you know, tragic situations and all the things that pain us the most with wrapped up in this.
Speaker A:So healing or sickness and disease, the opposite of that, get wrapped up in these big cracks.
Speaker A:Questions that people have.
Speaker A:And what we're doing in those moments is we're looking for our experiences to, to be just clarified with the word of God.
Speaker A:Sometimes to the point where we're looking for our experiences to determine whether the word of God is true or not.
Speaker A:Let me just tell you something.
Speaker A:This word right here is not going to change by your experiences.
Speaker A:It's been around for thousands of years.
Speaker A:The word of God has been around since the beginning of creation.
Speaker A:Right, right, right.
Speaker A:Way back thousands and thousands of years.
Speaker A:And it's not going to change because your experiences don't line up with it.
Speaker A:It is going to be constant.
Speaker A:God is constant.
Speaker A:He says, I am the Lord and I change not.
Speaker A:And you know, there's some really good.
Speaker A:There's really, really foundational things right there in that one statement.
Speaker A:He's the same.
Speaker A:Yes.
Speaker A:You know, Jesus is in Hebrews.
Speaker A:He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Speaker A:That means the things that he intended, the life that he intended for us in the mo.
Speaker A:In the, in the.
Speaker A:The very point at which mankind was created is the same intentions that God has for us today.
Speaker A:You know, he created Adam and Eve in his image to bear his name, to bear his authority to, to take dominion and subdue this world.
Speaker A:Those intentions haven't changed now.
Speaker A:There was a whole lot of experiences that mankind went through from creation until today.
Speaker A:There was some tragic things that went, that the children of Israel went through, particularly, you know, through all of those generations.
Speaker A:You read through the Old Testament, the history and through Jesus's time up until today, a whole lot of experience and a whole lot of tragedy that happened.
Speaker A:But that still didn't change God's intention from the very beginning.
Speaker A:God hasn't changed.
Speaker A:Our experiences cannot change the Word of God.
Speaker A:So we need to allow the Word of God to answer those questions for us.
Speaker A:What is God's will?
Speaker A:We're going to find out when it comes to healing.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:You know, is it, Is healing available today?
Speaker A:Yes, it absolutely is.
Speaker A:Does he still heal today?
Speaker A:Yes, he absolutely does.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:Because the Word shows us that.
Speaker A:And because now once we start to read the Word, let the, Let the Word of God build a foundation on the inside of us.
Speaker A:We'll start to see our experiences matching up to the Word of God rather than trying to squeeze our.
Speaker A:The Word of God into our experiences.
Speaker A:So we're going to start at the very foundation, right?
Speaker A:How can you build a house unless your foundation, a house that has a cracked foundation is not going to stand up to the attacks of this world, Right.
Speaker A:A house that is built.
Speaker A:You see this in Scripture.
Speaker A:House is built, built on sinking sand.
Speaker A:You know, if you live on the coast, right, and the wave city, you're going to know this.
Speaker A:It's not going to stand up.
Speaker A:When our, when our faith is put in the Word of God rather than our physical experiences, that Word of God starts to become alive and powerful on the inside of us.
Speaker A:And we'll start to see our physical world line up with, with the Word of God the other way around.
Speaker A:Many people trying to approach this completely backwards.
Speaker A:Right, right.
Speaker A:So let's look at this.
Speaker A:Let's take a moment and look at this.
Speaker A:Now there's an ingredient here.
Speaker A:We're talking.
Speaker A:We're talking about the Word of God.
Speaker A:So I'm going to encourage you.
Speaker A:Get your Bibles out.
Speaker A:We're going to.
Speaker A:We're going to look at some scriptures.
Speaker A:And I really want you to be able to see these scriptures from stuff, not just listen to them.
Speaker A:So if you have your scriptures with you, and maybe you have it on a phone, maybe you have a Bible app, maybe you have a physical copy, however it is that you read the Word of God, I want you to have this.
Speaker A:I want you to see these scriptures for yourself.
Speaker A:Because we're moving away from having our, our experiences be the key thing.
Speaker A:And we're going to start basing our faith here not on our previous experiences, which could be good or bad, but upon what does the Word of God say about healing?
Speaker A:Okay, now we're going to go through this and we're going to see that healing is a part of that atonement.
Speaker A:That word that I mentioned at the beginning that, that you could, you could say atonement is the benefit package of Christ that he paid for us to have on the cross.
Speaker A:That is the atonement, his death, burial, and subsequent resurrection.
Speaker A:That everything that Jesus paid well, that's atonement.
Speaker A:And healing is part of the atonement.
Speaker A:And we can prove that it is a benefit of the resurrection by looking at Scripture.
Speaker A:But there is a key ingredient here that I want us to see, and that is that in receiving any part of the atonement, any part of that benefit package, it's not automatic.
Speaker A:It.
Speaker A:It requires faith.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Faith is the currency of God's kingdom now.
Speaker A:And Jesus said several times, you know, everything's possible to people that believe.
Speaker A:You know, the word believe and believe.
Speaker A:Belief and faith are kind of interchangeable.
Speaker A:You see that in the Scriptures they can be used very interchangeably.
Speaker A:But faith, you know, and this we can have.
Speaker A:If we did a little server and we asked people, what do you think the word faith means?
Speaker A:They'll come up with all different kinds of things, you know, and the word, the world even uses this world, faith.
Speaker A:And not to mean anything supernatural or spiritual, but like, you just need the.
Speaker A:You just need to have faith.
Speaker A:You just need to, you know, what they're saying is you just need to have more trust.
Speaker A:You just need to have a positive outlook.
Speaker A:You just need to have more Confidence.
Speaker A:And in a sense, those meanings aren't wrong, they're just not complete.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:The Greek word for faith, faith is pisto and it means trust and confidence.
Speaker A:But more than just trust and confidence, it means to be fully persuaded.
Speaker A:You see, we can have a measure and I of trust and confidence in someone.
Speaker A:You know, if you, if you just met somebody, you know, you might have a pretty minimal amount of trust or confidence in that person, but you just don't know them very well.
Speaker A:You know, you just.
Speaker A:In now human relationships, you're not going to but whole lot, you know, you're not just going to let a stranger take care of your kids.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:Because.
Speaker A:Because you don't know the well enough to trust them.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:It takes a period of time.
Speaker A:The more you get to know someone, the more you get to know their character and their nature.
Speaker A:And the more trust and the more confidence, the more faith you can put in that person.
Speaker A:There's a natural kind of faith in the world today and that's experiential faith.
Speaker A:You know, that we, by having a good experience over and over and over again, right.
Speaker A:We can start to have more confidence.
Speaker A:Trust is earned.
Speaker A:But there is this word faith to be fully persuaded.
Speaker A:This is something different when we're looking at it in the scripture.
Speaker A:This isn't talking about something that is earned.
Speaker A:This is talking about something that we already have.
Speaker A:Now you have, if you're born again, you've put, you put trust and confidence in the word of God that the message of the gospel to save you.
Speaker A:The moment that you called upon Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you received the faith of Christ on the inside of you.
Speaker A:You already have faith on the inside of you.
Speaker A:Now this is really important.
Speaker A:Okay, so when we go back and we look at those questions that we started with again, you know, is healing real?
Speaker A:Is it available?
Speaker A:Is God really there?
Speaker A:And listening?
Speaker A:Do people still get healed today we can start to understand.
Speaker A:Hang on a minute.
Speaker A:The Bible has answers to these questions.
Speaker A:And because we have the faith of Christ, Christ on the inside of us, we can put trust and confidence in those responses.
Speaker A:We can know that God doesn't have to earn our trust and confidence.
Speaker A:He's.
Speaker A:He's trustworthy and he's.
Speaker A:And, and we can put confidence in his word because he's never changed.
Speaker A:His track record is perfect.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:We can allow scripture to start to fully persuade our hearts rather than our experience.
Speaker A:His cloud our judgment.
Speaker A:This is important.
Speaker A:Yes, that's right.
Speaker A:Like Abraham, he was fully persuaded.
Speaker A:You know, that's a really Interesting story.
Speaker A:It's actually reading that this morning Ashley and I would go through.
Speaker A:And we're starting our Bible plan, right?
Speaker A:It just started again in January.
Speaker A:Go through the Bible in a year together.
Speaker A:And so we're reading in Genesis and we were just reading about Abraham and Sarah and I just thought that was so interesting.
Speaker A:You know, when God spoke to Abraham, Abraham was, you know, he told him he was going to be the father of many nations.
Speaker A:And yet him and his wife had been married a long time, unable to have children, and, and everything in the natural, everything in their previous experience was telling them this is impossible.
Speaker A:But at some point, and it was a journey for them, they had to look past their physical bodies, their physical doubts, their experience and trust instead the word of the Lord that had been spoken to them that you shall be the father of many nations.
Speaker A:You know, the five words that Abraham held onto from the Lord was, so shall your seed be.
Speaker A:That was.
Speaker A:That's all he had.
Speaker A:He didn't have a, he didn't even have a Bible back then.
Speaker A:He had the words of God, a conversation with God that he had spoken to him.
Speaker A:And he held on to those five words and he held them in his heart and he had to, you know, it was, it was a, it was a season for him that he went through with his wife.
Speaker A:But you know, God is faithful and they.
Speaker A:That, that word that he'll be the father of many nations came to pass even though, you know, they were, they were like 100 years old, well past their natural complete capacity to have children.
Speaker A:You see, the, the lesson in that is the Word of God will work for whoever puts faith in it.
Speaker A:Whoever takes the word of God and mixes it with, with faith will see it come to pass.
Speaker A:When their heart is fully persuaded, when there is no other option, when the word of God is more real to them than their circumstances, they'll start to see every promise that God has spoken to them through the word of God come to pass in their life.
Speaker A:There's no other way for it to go.
Speaker A:It's like a seed that you plant in the ground.
Speaker A:It's going to bear fruit.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:Super important.
Speaker A:Let's look at this scripture.
Speaker A:We're going to look at Romans 1, verse 16 and 17.
Speaker A:It says, For I'm not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.
Speaker A:For the Jew first and also for the Greek, for in it, in that, in that the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, the just shall live by faith.
Speaker A:Only the word of God, only the gospel can produce faith in the hearer.
Speaker A:This is really important because faith, the faith that's necessary to receive, healing the faith that's necessary to draw on the benefits of that package, that atonement package only come from the word of God.
Speaker A:They don't come from anywhere else.
Speaker A:This is really important because for years I was listening, I was in an environment, in a church where the word of God was being talked about.
Speaker A:But it didn't have any power because we didn't mix any faith with was out here.
Speaker A:But it wasn't in here.
Speaker A:This is super important.
Speaker A:You see, you know, power isn't just a feeling riling you up on the inside, but it stirs you up in faith to believe the promises of God.
Speaker A:How do you know if you've heard the gospel?
Speaker A:Because it changes you when you hear the gospel, when you hear about the power of God, it does something on the inside of you.
Speaker A:It gives butterflies in your stomach.
Speaker A:It just literally you excited the more you, you read the word of God and you and you put trust and confidence in it.
Speaker A:A trust and confidence that's innate now as part of your new nature because you receive Jesus.
Speaker A:When you, when you say, yes, I believe that, yes, I believe that even I haven't seen it yet.
Speaker A:But yes, I believe that when you're reading through the New Testament, when you read in the miracles of Jesus and yes, I believe that little girl was raised from the dead.
Speaker A:Yes, I believe that person came back to life.
Speaker A:Yes, I believe that those blind eyes were open.
Speaker A:Yes, I believe that those, those miracles happened.
Speaker A:That yes, I believe that he healed them all.
Speaker A:When you read the word of God and you allow your confirmation to say yes, I believe that something changes in you.
Speaker A:Something changes in you are stirring up that faith that's already on the inside.
Speaker A:Sometimes that faith is already on the inside, has been squashed down by the experiences of life.
Speaker A:But the more that you read the word of God and you choose to put a yes, yes, I believe that the more you allow that faith to start bubbling up on the inside of you.
Speaker A:Only the word of God can do that.
Speaker A:And you can tell if you if the gospel that you're listening to is the gospel because it has power with it.
Speaker A:It has power with it.
Speaker A:You see that vert that verse I just read, Romans 1:16 says for I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God.
Speaker A:It is the power of God to salvation man.
Speaker A:It is the power of God unto Salvation for everyone who believes.
Speaker A:That means the miracle work in that word power is dunamis.
Speaker A:That means there's miracle working power in the word that you're hearing, power in the scripture that you're reading.
Speaker A:You're not just reading the Bible every day, you know, because it's something to do, because you're checking off, you know, a task and all this.
Speaker A:You're reading the Bible every day because it's releasing the power of God through your ears and into your flesh.
Speaker A:Man, you're starting something.
Speaker A:You're starting something.
Speaker A:That miracle working power is the power that brings healing.
Speaker A:The same power that's released through this word on the inside of you when you hear it and when you read it is the very same power that it contained the moment that it was first spoken and written down thousands of years ago.
Speaker A:That power didn't expire.
Speaker A:That power didn't pass away with the last apostle.
Speaker A:That power is still in there.
Speaker A:It's still in there and it's still for you.
Speaker A:It had no expiration date.
Speaker A:You know, when the real gospel is preached, there's going to be evidence.
Speaker A:It's another way that you know that you're listening to the real gospel.
Speaker A:There's evidence, you know, there is the evidence of things.
Speaker A:Faith now.
Speaker A:Now faith is to be sure the things you hope for and certain are the things you cannot see for by it.
Speaker A:The elders obtained a good Testament.
Speaker A:That's Hebrews 11:1 and 2.
Speaker A:There's evidence.
Speaker A:It is the surety is the guarantee, you know, that that evidence is healing, it's prosperity, it's freedom, it's breakthrough.
Speaker A:And it's all that, that it all, it's all encompassed in that word salvation.
Speaker A:Remember, the gospel is the power of God unto salvation.
Speaker A:That word salvation does not just mean that you're going to heaven now if you're saved, you're going to heaven, right?
Speaker A:But that word salvation, it's talking about all of those things.
Speaker A:There's a range of benefits that salvation encompasses.
Speaker A:And so often for so, well, for, for me personally, for so many years, I had received that, that gift of salvation, which to me was like, hey, I know I'm going to heaven when I die.
Speaker A:But all of the other benefits were things that I had never explored.
Speaker A:And because of that, every time I got sick, every time I got depressed, every time I got sad, every time I had a financial crisis, right?
Speaker A:I just acted like the world did.
Speaker A:I never drew on the supernatural power that was part of that atonement to bring restoration to my life, to bring Freedom to my life, to bring peace to my soul, to bring healing to my body, to bring abundance to my, to my financial position.
Speaker A:I never drew on that because I didn't know that that was available.
Speaker A:And I'm here, brothers and sisters today, to tell you that salvation is more than just a ticket to heaven.
Speaker A:Salvation contains your healing.
Speaker A:Salvation contains your breakthrough.
Speaker A:Conservation contains your forgiveness.
Speaker A:It contains your freedom.
Speaker A:It contains your prosperity, it contains your peace.
Speaker A:It contains your restoration.
Speaker A:It contains your very protection and safety.
Speaker A:Salvation encompasses all of those things.
Speaker A:It is not limited to merely a ticket to heaven or healing your body.
Speaker A:It is a whole range that we would call salvation.
Speaker A:Let us not diminish the power of Jesus's resurrection by saying, well, you know what that means?
Speaker A:That means I'm going to heaven if I believe it, man.
Speaker A:It means so much more than that.
Speaker A:Eternal life starts the moment that you received salvation with all of those benefit packages available to you.
Speaker A:Huge, right?
Speaker A:Huge.
Speaker A:If the gospel that you're listening to contains no power, it's not.
Speaker A:The gospel says for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith.
Speaker A:That means faith is passed on through the sharing of that gospel.
Speaker A:That very fact right there.
Speaker A:The gospel is always going to produce response, right?
Speaker A:It's going to stir you up in faith.
Speaker A:It's going to cause you to be encouraged.
Speaker A:It doesn't produce doubt, unbelief or fear.
Speaker A:If, if you, you're listening to messages, if you're listening to preachers and you come away from that and it's stirring up doubt, unbelief or fear, it's not the gospel that they're preaching.
Speaker A:Understand that.
Speaker A:It's not about a feeling, but it, it's, it's, there's a fact in there, there's there facts in it.
Speaker A:If your body is responding to what you're hearing and what you're hearing is producing fear or doubt or unbelief, it's not the gospel.
Speaker A:Turn it off, right?
Speaker A:We have to be careful what we're listening to.
Speaker A:It says in that scripture that the just shall live by faith.
Speaker A:This is the process.
Speaker A:Faith, the currency is the kingdom.
Speaker A:It's the, the mechanism.
Speaker A:The way that we access the very promises of God is through faith.
Speaker A:That's how we live.
Speaker A:That's how we out.
Speaker A:We, we access the abundant life.
Speaker A:And he says the just to live by faith.
Speaker A:Well, who are the just?
Speaker A:We're the just.
Speaker A:We are the just.
Speaker A:Why?
Speaker A:Because Jesus is justified us, man.
Speaker A:We've got a whole lesson to go through on righteousness and how that affects healing.
Speaker A:Okay, but when.
Speaker A:When you received Jesus, he made you justified before the Lord.
Speaker A:He wiped away the sin that.
Speaker A:The handwriting of transgressions, that was against you.
Speaker A:He wiped it away.
Speaker A:Says, that person's clean now they've received me.
Speaker A:They're clean.
Speaker A:It's just as if they'd never sinned.
Speaker A:Justified.
Speaker A:See the word justified.
Speaker A:Just as if I'd never sinned.
Speaker A:You're the just.
Speaker A:You are the just.
Speaker A:And so we're supposed to live our lives by faith.
Speaker A:Now, where does.
Speaker A:Where does faith come from?
Speaker A:Well, you know, faith comes by hearing, is what it says in.
Speaker A:In Romans 10.
Speaker A:If you look at Romans 10 in the Scripture.
Speaker A:Now, this is.
Speaker A:This is really very powerful passage.
Speaker A:Romans 10, 11, 17.
Speaker A:Me read this to you.
Speaker A:It says, for the scripture says, whoever believes on him will not be put to shame.
Speaker A:Is he talking about salvation?
Speaker A:The moment with salvation.
Speaker A:For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek.
Speaker A:For the same Lord over all is rich.
Speaker A:To all who call upon him.
Speaker A:As many as will call upon the name of the Lord can be saved.
Speaker A:As many as.
Speaker A:And you could change that word out for healed, delivered, set free, forgiven.
Speaker A:As many as will call upon the Lord, right, Will be saved, healed, delivered, freed from bondage, you know, forgiven.
Speaker A:You could.
Speaker A:You could exchange that in there, for there's no distinction.
Speaker A:For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Speaker A:How then shall they call upon the name of the Lord and call upon him in whom they have not believed?
Speaker A:You see, we call upon the Lord when we hear about him, and we put faith in what he says.
Speaker A:When we put faith in the gospel, in the resurrection man, that mean that that is where we start to see those benefits play out.
Speaker A:He says, and how then shall they believe in him who they have not heard?
Speaker A:And how they're going to hear if no one.
Speaker A:This is not a preacher, if they didn't hear?
Speaker A:Because faith comes by hearing, right?
Speaker A:And how shall they preach unless they're sent?
Speaker A:Because it is written, how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things.
Speaker A:But they have not all obeyed the gospel.
Speaker A:For Isaiah says, who has believed our report.
Speaker A:So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Speaker A:When we hear the word of God, this is saying we have an opportunity to respond to it.
Speaker A:We hear the Word, it stirs us up on the inside of us.
Speaker A:But we have to mix faith with that word.
Speaker A:We need a response.
Speaker A:You know, salvation is for everyone, but not everyone is saved because not everyone puts Faith puts trust, puts confidence, and responds to that gift of salvation.
Speaker A:So we can go back to our question, how many healing is for everybody.
Speaker A:If healing is real, why is not everyone healed?
Speaker A:Not everyone has put faith, trust, confidence in that gift of healing.
Speaker A:That healing is just as much part of your atonement as salvation is.
Speaker A:But if we don't respond to that gift of healing in the same way that we respond to that gift of salvation, it's just gonna, it's gonna stay there.
Speaker A:It's not gonna impact us.
Speaker A:We can be all around healing, we can hear healing, we can see healing, but we can walk through it and never experience if we don't respond to it, needs to be responded to right in this in the same way.
Speaker A:So faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Speaker A:But there, there is a response required when we hear the word of God.
Speaker A:You know, healing is, is not separate.
Speaker A:It's not a separate gospel.
Speaker A:We don't have the.
Speaker A:The gospel of healing is one gospel that contains all of these things because the gospel is the power of God.
Speaker A:One gospel.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:One sacrifice, one atonement.
Speaker A:Package contains all of those things.
Speaker A:All of those things.
Speaker A:And if you've received Jesus, you can be rest assured that you've received the whole package.
Speaker A:You can't separate healing from the gospel.
Speaker A:It's part of it.
Speaker A:It's part of it.
Speaker A:When we receive the gospel, we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior.
Speaker A:Who is it that we're receiving on the inside of us?
Speaker A:The healer.
Speaker A:It's Christ, the healer.
Speaker A:So if we've received Jesus, we've, you know, we've received the healing power of God on the inside of us, you know, everywhere.
Speaker A:If we.
Speaker A:Let me just explain this, because I feel like this, this needs a little bit more explanation.
Speaker A:If I've received Jesus and I've received the healer, like, where is he?
Speaker A:Because my body is still sick.
Speaker A:How can I still be sick and still be a Christian if I've received the healer?
Speaker A:The healing power of God on the inside of me.
Speaker A:That's a great question.
Speaker A:Glad you're us.
Speaker A:Well, here's the thing.
Speaker A:First, Thessalonians 5 talks about this.
Speaker A:We have spirit, soul and body.
Speaker A:We're three parts.
Speaker A:And the mechanism of this is when we get born again, our spirit becomes alive.
Speaker A:We this, the spirit of God comes on the inside of us and we become spiritually alive.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:So you could say, when you receive Jesus, one third of you became.
Speaker A:Became spirit filled.
Speaker A:That's the God part of you.
Speaker A:Now you have a new nature in Christ.
Speaker A:Okay, you have a new nature, but you're still left with the body and you're still left with the soul.
Speaker A:So what is the soul?
Speaker A:The body's obvious.
Speaker A:That's your flesh suit.
Speaker A:But what is.
Speaker A:What is the soul?
Speaker A:Well, if you study this out in scripture, you'll see that the word heart and the word soul are used interchangeably, but they mean the same thing.
Speaker A:It's not talking about your physical beating organ of your heart, your soul or your heart.
Speaker A:There's the same words.
Speaker A:It's talking about your mind, will and emotion.
Speaker A:That's the thing, thinking part of you, right?
Speaker A:Your personality, your thoughts, your opinions, how you feel about stuff.
Speaker A:It's not your brain.
Speaker A:It's not the organ of your brain.
Speaker A:It's all of the.
Speaker A:All of your personality, your thoughts, your instinct, everything you use your brain for.
Speaker A:Yes, but not your physical organ.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:And so your.
Speaker A:Your mind, will and emotions, that's your.
Speaker A:That's the soul part of you.
Speaker A:So when we're talking about sickness, where is sickness?
Speaker A:Well, it cannot be in the spirit part of us.
Speaker A:Because if we're born again, spirit, you know, we got Jesus on the inside of us.
Speaker A:We're born again, our spirits, and I don't have time to explain this today, but our spirits are sealed.
Speaker A:According to Ephesians chapter one, our spirits are sealed.
Speaker A:They're untouchable.
Speaker A:Sickness does not stay.
Speaker A:It cannot.
Speaker A:It cannot infect the spirit part of us.
Speaker A:It can only be in our soul or in our.
Speaker A:Or in our heart, in our flesh, right?
Speaker A:It can only be in those places.
Speaker A:So you can be sick in your thinking, right?
Speaker A:Can you have mental.
Speaker A:Mental illness?
Speaker A:Yes, you can.
Speaker A:You can be mentally ill, right?
Speaker A:You can have personality disorders, right?
Speaker A:You can.
Speaker A:You can be.
Speaker A:You can have problems of the soul, issues of the soul.
Speaker A:You can have.
Speaker A:You could.
Speaker A:Corruption in the soul, you know, you can also have sickness in your body.
Speaker A:You experience.
Speaker A:Experience symptoms in your body, in your flesh, but you cannot have it in your spirit body, part of you.
Speaker A:That's why we can say you carry around the healing power of God on the inside of you.
Speaker A:Which part of the inside of you?
Speaker A:The spirit part of the inside of you, okay?
Speaker A:And just like we.
Speaker A:We can't see our salvation, we have to take it by faith.
Speaker A:We know healing's the same.
Speaker A:Because if we were to say, you know, I know, I'm healed by the stripes of Jesus, I'm healed.
Speaker A:That's a great confession, what we're saying.
Speaker A:But.
Speaker A:But then we're saying, well, I've also got symptoms in my body, I feel like I'm at a conflict.
Speaker A:How can I say both things, Both equations are true.
Speaker A:Because you can.
Speaker A:In your spirit, you can be 100% healed.
Speaker A:You got the healing power of God in the.
Speaker A:In the inside of you.
Speaker A:But in your flesh or in your soul, you can be experiencing symptoms.
Speaker A:So you're not denying that sickness is real.
Speaker A:You're not designed that denying that disease is real.
Speaker A:But there's just.
Speaker A:It's just not the only report.
Speaker A:It's not the whole truth.
Speaker A:There's a part of you that is sick, but it's not the whole you that's sick.
Speaker A:Because the other part of you, the God part of you still contains more than enough power to overcome that sickness that's in your flesh.
Speaker A:That's the difference, right?
Speaker A:That's the difference.
Speaker A:And everywhere our flesh goes, that's everywhere our spirit goes.
Speaker A:We're not, we're not separated, right?
Speaker A:So that means everywhere that my flesh goes, well, healing goes too, right?
Speaker A:We can't separate those things.
Speaker A:And we receive healing in the same way that we receive salvation.
Speaker A:You know, we receive healing.
Speaker A:We don't receive healing into our spirit.
Speaker A:We receive healing into our body, we receive healing into our soul.
Speaker A:But the mechanism for receiving healing is the same.
Speaker A:It's just the place that is needed is different.
Speaker A:You don't need healing in your spirit.
Speaker A:You need it in your body and your soul.
Speaker A:But the way that we receive that healing, that healing power is the same way that we receive that.
Speaker A:That healing power in our spirit.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:That salvation in our spirit, that freedom in our spirit is exactly the same mechanism that we receive physical healing in our body or healing for our mental capacities exactly the same way.
Speaker A:And that same way, that mechanism is called faith.
Speaker A:It's called trust and confidence.
Speaker A:Allowing our mind, will and emotions to become fully persuaded that the spirit part of us is the real part.
Speaker A:The word of God is the truth, not our previous experiences.
Speaker A:So really what we're talking about here is, is a battle of the will, right?
Speaker A:Is a battle of the will.
Speaker A:To, to a large extent, you know, that's the struggle of, of receiving healing for so many believers is differentiating their experience from the Word of God and allowing the Word of God and their spirit spiritual position to become more present than their physical one.
Speaker A:Really, really huge.
Speaker A:So we're gonna, we're gonna look at one, one last.
Speaker A:Well, two.
Speaker A:Two more scriptures here, and then we're going to start to pray for you.
Speaker A:Because there's a lot in this, in this one introductory lesson, okay?
Speaker A:We're going to look at Isaiah 53:1 to 5, and we already quoted this.
Speaker A:You know, we just quoted this in Romans 10.
Speaker A:Actually.
Speaker A:Romans 10 was actually quoting Isaiah 53.
Speaker A:But let me read this scripture to you.
Speaker A:And you should have this.
Speaker A:You should have this one written down.
Speaker A:This is powerful.
Speaker A:It says, for who has believed our report, and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Speaker A:This is Isaiah 53, verse 1.
Speaker A:This is actually talking about Jesus.
Speaker A:Jesus is referred to as the arm of the Lord.
Speaker A:For he shall grow up.
Speaker A:And now you start to see the.
Speaker A:The picture here.
Speaker A:For he shall grow up as it before him, as a tender plant.
Speaker A:It's talking about Jesus being born and growing up like a tender plant, as a root out of dry ground.
Speaker A:He has no form or comeliness.
Speaker A:And when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
Speaker A:That saying that Jesus looked like every.
Speaker A:Every other person, just an ordinary man.
Speaker A:He's despised and rejected by men.
Speaker A:A man of sorrows.
Speaker A:And you can tell in.
Speaker A:In most translations that word man is capitalized.
Speaker A:If it's capitalized, it's talking about Deity, okay?
Speaker A:But Jesus, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
Speaker A:And we hid, as it were, our faces from him.
Speaker A:He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
Speaker A:Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.
Speaker A:Yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted.
Speaker A:But he was wounded for our transgressions.
Speaker A:He was bruised for our iniquities.
Speaker A:And the chastisement of our peace was upon him.
Speaker A:And by his stripes we are healed.
Speaker A:Now, I want you to see something here.
Speaker A:This is talking about the crucifixion of Christ.
Speaker A:And it's written by the prophet Isaiah hundreds of years before Jesus was even born.
Speaker A:You see here, you can see the pictures of the cross here.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:He's a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:All of the payment for.
Speaker A:For our sin, all of the.
Speaker A:The pain, the grief, the sorrow that was all placed upon Jesus is.
Speaker A:Yet we esteem him stricken.
Speaker A:That means he took this, this person, that is, I was talking about Jesus.
Speaker A:He took on the payment for all of our sin.
Speaker A:Smitten by God and afflicted, wounded for our transgressions.
Speaker A:The nails wounded him for our sin.
Speaker A:The nails wounded Jesus for our sickness.
Speaker A:The nails wounded Jesus to take the punishment that we should have had.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:He says he was bruised for our iniquities.
Speaker A:He was literally beaten.
Speaker A:If you read through the crucifixion story, he was beaten, he was whipped Right before he was crucified, it says, the chastisement of our peace was upon him.
Speaker A:You know this word?
Speaker A:And let me just show you some things.
Speaker A:I'm going to break down some of these words for you.
Speaker A:By his stripes, that he took stripes with a whip, made stripes on his back, we are healed.
Speaker A:Now, it doesn't say.
Speaker A:It's talking about something that hasn't happened yet.
Speaker A:See, the word are, it's talking about.
Speaker A:This is talking about a future tense event.
Speaker A:Now I want to show you something.
Speaker A:This is the picture of the, of the crucifixion of Christ and what it meant for us, right?
Speaker A:This is, we call.
Speaker A:This is the atonement.
Speaker A:It's describing the atonement before, hundreds of years before it even happened.
Speaker A:Now if you look in the New Testament, that is after Jesus resurrection, we see this again, but in a past tense, right?
Speaker A:Because it's already happened.
Speaker A:First Peter 2:24, he himself, talking about Jesus bore our sins in his own body on the tree.
Speaker A:That we, being dead to sin, should live unto righteousness.
Speaker A:By whose stripes you are, were healed.
Speaker A:This is past.
Speaker A:It's now.
Speaker A:It's written in the past tense, right?
Speaker A:So it's not looking for something that's in the future, it's looking at something backwards that's already happened.
Speaker A:So it's.
Speaker A:So now as believers in the New Testament, we're not looking for something in the future, we're looking back at something that already happened that's really, really important.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:Because it will change the way that we pray.
Speaker A:It means that when we pray, we can now pray with authority.
Speaker A:We can now pray with trust and confidence.
Speaker A:Because it's not hoping that something's going to happen, it's trusting that something already has.
Speaker A:Big difference.
Speaker A:How much more confidence do you have when you say something, when you repeat something that already happened, that when you make a statement about something that hasn't happened yet.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:A whole lot more confidence.
Speaker A:Were.
Speaker A:Yes, were healed.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So this is really important.
Speaker A:But you know, it started out that Isaiah 53, who has believed their report?
Speaker A:That means who put faith in this statement?
Speaker A:Who put faith in this report?
Speaker A:Who will look more at this report than they will at the doctor's report?
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:If we were to break down some of the words that we find that in that passage, just Isaiah 53, just those first few scriptures, you know, there's deeper meanings.
Speaker A:You know, it says, surely he has, he has borne our, our griefs and carried our sorrows.
Speaker A:This isn't just talking about sadness and grief.
Speaker A:If you Actually, look in the original language, in the Hebrew that it was written in that word for sorrows.
Speaker A:It means pain, physical pain.
Speaker A:He bore our physical pain is.
Speaker A:It means grief or affliction.
Speaker A:The word grief doesn't mean grief.
Speaker A:It means anxiety.
Speaker A:So you could say, you know, when he bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, you know, he carried our p. Our pain, our grief, our affliction, our anxiety.
Speaker A:It also means disease, pain and disease.
Speaker A:Affliction is disease, right?
Speaker A:This word, where it says bruised, he was bruised for our iniquities.
Speaker A:That word bruised means he was beaten to pieces for our.
Speaker A:It wasn't just, you know, a bruise on the skin.
Speaker A:He was beaten to pieces for our iniquities, our sin.
Speaker A:And the word peace, it's shalom.
Speaker A:It means rest, health, happiness, wholeness, prosperity, peace, safety, favor and friendship.
Speaker A:You see this if we study it in real context, this isn't just talking about our tickets of salvation, our ticket to heaven, yes, our eternal resting place is secure.
Speaker A:This is talking about our physical healing.
Speaker A:Also.
Speaker A:Sickness and disease is mentioned even there in the Old Testament as a picture of the atonement that hadn't even happened yet.
Speaker A:And in first Peter 24 and after the resurrection of Christ, we're now looking back at it saying, thank you, Jesus.
Speaker A:Thank you, Jesus, that your atonement carried not only my salvation, but it carried my physical healing also.
Speaker A:Healing and salvation cannot be separated as much as you are saved.
Speaker A:Today, Jesus also paid for you to be healed, man.
Speaker A:I hope that that has proved to you that healing is part of what Jesus paid for you to have on the cross as much as you are saved.
Speaker A:When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior into your spirit, man, you receive the healer, you receive the healing power of God on the inside of you.
Speaker A:If nothing else, that should give you a foundation from which to build upon.
Speaker A:Now, over the next coming weeks, we're really going to be getting into this as we go through this school of supernatural healing.
Speaker A:I'm really excited for you.
Speaker A:This is the foundation, this video just joining and we're starting something brand new here on Power Hour.
Speaker A:There's the school of supernatural healing.
Speaker A:It's starts with this foundation, understanding that Jesus paid for you to be healed back on the cross.
Speaker A:That's going to change everything.
Speaker A:That's going to change how we, how we, we operate in faith.
Speaker A:That's going to change how we hear the voice of God.
Speaker A:That's going to change how we speak with words of authority.
Speaker A:That's going to give us confidence that when we speak when we declare the words of God, power is released.
Speaker A:That's going to change everything.
Speaker A:So Father God, I thank you for this revelation, this Word of God that you have deposited on the inside of us today.
Speaker A:Thank you Lord for the gift of salvation.
Speaker A:Thank you Lord for everything that your atonement paid for.
Speaker A:Thank you Lord that you went to the cross for us and that you paid for our healing at the same time that you paid for us to be free from sin, you pay for us to be free from sickness.
Speaker A:Thank you Lord.
Speaker A:We receive that healing power in our body right now in your name, in Jesus name.
