Speaker A:Alright, so let's pray.
Speaker A:Father God, I just thank you that you are here with us today.
Speaker A:We, wherever we're watching from, wherever we listening from.
Speaker A:Lord, I thank you that your presence is with us, that your spirit is in us and that we have ears to hear, hearts to receive and a mind to understand every good and perfect promise that you that you have for us.
Speaker A:In Jesus name, amen.
Speaker A:All right, so the first question I got here and I don't know who these people are from, it doesn't say their name.
Speaker A:Who sent the question in?
Speaker A:So I'm just going to read the question, but it says, why do you think others you pray for are healed of the very condition that you are waiting to see manifest in yourself?
Speaker A:Well, you know, this is a great question and you know there's this, there's a whole long time that we could spend on each one of these questions, but I do want to get through as many as I can.
Speaker A:So why do I think other people, people that we pray for other people and they're healed of that condition that we're waiting to see manifest in ourselves?
Speaker A:You know, one of the things we need to understand is when we pray for other people, the symptoms are not in our body.
Speaker A:So you know, when, when you have a symptom, when you have an ache or a pain or some physical limitation that you have in your body, there is a part of you that is very connected to that, obviously.
Speaker A:And then we see this manifestation called natural unbelief.
Speaker A:Just that your five senses are talking to you, your feeling sense, your smelling sense, you know, all of your senses are talking to you.
Speaker A:And you know that can, that's like another hurdle for our faith sense to overcome, to go beyond those five senses.
Speaker A:But when you pray for somebody else, none of their symptoms are in your body.
Speaker A:You don't have to overcome that natural unbelief when you pray for other people.
Speaker A:And that's just one of the reasons why I really encourage people that are struggling to receive a healing in their body to find other people to pray for.
Speaker A:Because you know, our reality of the word of God, that word of God becoming more real to us than our five senses.
Speaker A:It begins by us having understanding of the Word of God, but also using it.
Speaker A:There is another level of revelation that comes from the Word of God when we start to apply it and when we are, when we are struggling with natural unbelief because we have the symptoms in our body, it just, it's just another level of overcoming.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker A:But if we can practice using the Word of God, applying the Word of God outside of our own five senses, outside of our own physical body, what will happen is we'll start to see manifestations of that because.
Speaker A:Because, because we won't have to overcome that.
Speaker A:Natural unbelief is.
Speaker A:And it's easier to pray for other people than it is for ourselves and take authority over ourselves.
Speaker A:Sometimes we'll start to gain more confidence in the power of God and in his Word.
Speaker A:And before long, I'm telling you, you'll start that, you'll start to see those, those symptoms in your body start to disappear as well.
Speaker A:So that is why I think that when we pray for other people, oftentimes we see more success than when we pray for our own body.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Just because of natural unbelief.
Speaker A:Great question.
Speaker A:So it says, so Jesus didn't.
Speaker A:This is the, this is more of a statement and a question.
Speaker A:And so Jesus didn't teach on how to heal, but surely he taught his disciples because they were sent to heal the sick.
Speaker A:Would you please explain to me in Scripture how we are supposed to know what to do?
Speaker A:I love these questions.
Speaker A:They're great questions.
Speaker A:So you know, Jesus did a lot more demonstrating than he did explaining.
Speaker A:And so there is a scripture.
Speaker A:Let's go on over here to Matthew.
Speaker A:Matthew 10.
Speaker A:Going over here to Matthew 10.
Speaker A:Now, I've taught a whole class on Power Academy on the ways that Jesus healed.
Speaker A:So he did a lot more demonstrating than he did explaining.
Speaker A:And so we could go through lots of the different ways that Jesus healed people.
Speaker A:Sometimes he laid hands on the sick, sometimes he spoke the word to them, sometimes he speaks spat.
Speaker A:I think it was last week on Power Hour.
Speaker A:I talk about the blind man heard Jesus spat in the clay and applied it to his eyes.
Speaker A:Sometimes he.
Speaker A:He wasn't even present.
Speaker A:He just was with a third party individual.
Speaker A:Their, their person that was sick was back home and he spoke the word and they were healed.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:Every time Jesus operated in authority, but there were different methodology, different, different things that were in play by way by which people received, you know, the lady with the issue of blood, she touched Jesus.
Speaker A:Other times Jesus touched them.
Speaker A:There are lots of different things going on.
Speaker A:So he demonstrated a lot More than he explained.
Speaker A:But let me just show you here in Matthew, verse this is Matthew chapter 10 and verse 1, it says he called his 12 disciples to him and gave them authority over unclean spirits to cast them out and to heal all kinds of sickness and heal all kinds of disease.
Speaker A:Now, the question was, yes, but how do we heal people?
Speaker A:Well, we follow.
Speaker A:Follow Jesus example.
Speaker A:Jesus showed us how to do that.
Speaker A:So we follow his examples.
Speaker A:We lay hands on the sick or we speak to the issue, but we listen to the Holy Spirit on the inside of us, and we follow what he's telling us to do.
Speaker A:And it's not the same every time.
Speaker A:So listening to the Holy Spirit, listening to the Lord on the inside of us, to direct us on which method to use, if you like, when we're ministering to somebody is super important.
Speaker A:So he says he gave them authority.
Speaker A:So there he is, there's authority, authority.
Speaker A:So he's given us authority.
Speaker A:Authority is present.
Speaker A:He's given us power over all of these things and to cast them out.
Speaker A:Now, casting something out is quite a forceful action and it does involve speaking, right?
Speaker A:So he spoke to things.
Speaker A:Jesus said, speak to the mountain and it'll be cast into the sea.
Speaker A:That he was a demonstration of how to use our authority through words.
Speaker A:Now he says, to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
Speaker A:Now if you go on down just a few more verses into verse eight.
Speaker A:Well, we're back up into verse seven.
Speaker A:He says, as you go, this is his instructions to the disciples.
Speaker A:As you go preach, so preach.
Speaker A:That is speaking the word of God, right?
Speaker A:The saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Speaker A:Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead and cast out demons.
Speaker A:Freely you have received, freely give.
Speaker A:So in a sense, what you're doing is you're giving away what you've already received, what you've already received in Christ.
Speaker A:You're sharing that with people.
Speaker A:So there is an element here of preaching the word.
Speaker A:Now we, we can see this as well in the Great Commission.
Speaker A:So this is how Jesus is.
Speaker A:The, the ways that Jesus is instructing his disciples to heal the sick.
Speaker A:Okay, According to the question that came in.
Speaker A:So going over to Mark 16, Mark 16, verse 15, he says, he's saying to his disciples, go into all the world.
Speaker A:So we have to go.
Speaker A:If you want to heal the sick, we have to go.
Speaker A:There needs be some movement there.
Speaker A:He doesn't.
Speaker A:He doesn't say, stay and pray and hide in the closet.
Speaker A:He says, go and go.
Speaker A:You know, two thirds of God's name is Go.
Speaker A:There's some action here.
Speaker A:It says go into all the world.
Speaker A:Not just, not just stay put, but all the word.
Speaker A:Preach the gospel to every creature.
Speaker A:And he who believes in his baptized will be saved.
Speaker A:And he does not believe will be condemned.
Speaker A:These, this is where I want to get to here, verse 17.
Speaker A:These signs that there's going to be signs will accompany those who believe.
Speaker A:So in other words, Jesus saying, to heal the sick, there needs to be some faith present.
Speaker A:There needs to be some belief.
Speaker A:It says in my name.
Speaker A:So they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues.
Speaker A:So in the name of Jesus, here we are.
Speaker A:And they will take up serpents, drink any deadly thing there's.
Speaker A:And it will not harm them.
Speaker A:Look at this.
Speaker A:They will lay hands on the sick and they will cover.
Speaker A:So there's a number of different things in here that Jesus explains his.
Speaker A:The methods that they should use.
Speaker A:He says there is a going, there is a faith, there is a believing, there is a preaching of the word, there is a speaking, and there is a laying hands on the sick.
Speaker A:So those are the ways that, that Jesus tells his disciples to heal the sick.
Speaker A:And then in verse 20 it says, so they did this.
Speaker A:They went forth and preached everywhere.
Speaker A:The Lord working with them and the Lord confirming the Word with accompanying signs.
Speaker A:So where the word of God is spoken, spoken when we preach the Word, then signs follow.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker A:So that, that I hope that answers that.
Speaker A:Your question on that.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:How do I minister the reality of healing to an unbeliever?
Speaker A:He's a great question.
Speaker A:I'm going through questions here that were coming from the cure.
Speaker A:Can a person take authority over the their body by the power of Jesus if they have not yet chosen to receive salvation?
Speaker B:No.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:If somebody is not saved, they have no authority over the enemy.
Speaker A:That's, that's the bottom line.
Speaker A:We have authority.
Speaker A:Our authority over the enemy comes from Jesus himself.
Speaker A:He has given it to us.
Speaker A:So we haven't received Jesus.
Speaker A:We have no authority.
Speaker A:Once we submit to the Lord, then the enemy will flee from us.
Speaker A:James 4.
Speaker A:7 Says, Submit to God, resist the enemy, and he'll flee from you.
Speaker A:You can't resist the enemy and he won't flee from you unless you have first received him and submitted to God.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:So that's really important.
Speaker A:Someone's asking, is that why when I lay my hands on the.
Speaker A:When I lay my hands, are people not healed?
Speaker A:No, that's not, that's not the, that's not this, that's not the same thing.
Speaker A:Okay, let Me explain this.
Speaker A:How do I minister the reality of healing to an unbeliever?
Speaker A:So we're saying if a person is an unbeliever, they have no authority over the enemy in their life because they haven't submitted to God.
Speaker A:Our power and authority come from our submission to God.
Speaker A:If they've submitted to the enemy, the enemy has power over them.
Speaker A:Whoever we submit ourselves, we are servant to obey, right?
Speaker A:So first thing we need to do is we need to get somebody saved.
Speaker A:If they're to have authority in their life over the enemy themselves, then they need to get born again.
Speaker A:So we need to lead them to the Lord.
Speaker A:But if you go out on the streets and you lay hands on people and they're not born again, they can receive healing.
Speaker A:They can receive healing and not be saved, but they don't have authority of the enemy and also and authority of their own body until they're saved.
Speaker A:So, yes, anyone.
Speaker A:Anyone that is open to it, anyone that thinks it's possible, can receive healing, right?
Speaker A:Absolutely.
Speaker A:Anyone.
Speaker A:All the people that Jesus prayed for weren't born again, right?
Speaker A:But the authority is something different.
Speaker A:So that's.
Speaker A:That's different.
Speaker A:So Eternal grace is asking, is that when I lay my hands on people, why that.
Speaker A:Why they're not healed.
Speaker A:There's lots of reasons why people don't apparently receive their healing in a moment when you lay hands on them.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker A:But them being unsaved would not be a barrier to them receiving healing.
Speaker A:Okay, all right.
Speaker A:So here we are.
Speaker A:It's the next question here.
Speaker A:What is the best way to take authority over pain?
Speaker A:You know, to speak to it.
Speaker A:Pain speaks very loudly to us.
Speaker A:I would say the best way to take authority over pain is to speak to it.
Speaker A:Sometimes you can use.
Speaker A:You know, our imagination is so strong, sometimes it helps people or even ourselves to use our imagination and get our five senses on our side.
Speaker A:Because pain is found in our flesh, it really does arrest our five senses.
Speaker A:You can turn that around and use the very thing that's an obstacle to your advantage.
Speaker A:And I, I would do this by using my imagination.
Speaker A:So when I'm praying for people, whether I'm praying for other people or just speaking to pain in my own body, I like to imagine pulling out roots, literally uprooting pain.
Speaker B:That.
Speaker A:That helps me.
Speaker A:So I'm literally pulling out.
Speaker A:Because that's one of the things, you know, pain is picked up by your nerves.
Speaker A:That's what the feeling part of you that senses the pain, the.
Speaker A:The nerve receptors, and they're like roots, like nerves are like Roots in the body.
Speaker A:And so I, I kind of like to turn that on its head and imagine that I'm pulling out those roots of pain that don't belong in there anymore.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:Or another one that I think of is if, if there's been a lot of inflammation and I, I see, I see things, I'm really visual.
Speaker A:So I use my imagination a lot when I'm praying for people.
Speaker A:I see inflamed things in the body.
Speaker A:And so I imagine that redness is almost like a fire extinguisher, something being extinguished, something being going back to rest, that redness, that inflammation being quenched, being put out.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:I use that, that power of my imagination when I'm, when I'm speaking with authority.
Speaker A:Okay, this one is from Shamsa.
Speaker A:What are your thoughts on immunization and vaccines?
Speaker A:Some are negotiable for school, but some are non negotiable items.
Speaker A:Even Christian schools require them.
Speaker A:Some Christian schools, I guess.
Speaker A:What do I do?
Speaker A:How can I be sure of our salvation?
Speaker A:There's a lot in this.
Speaker A:This is a big question here.
Speaker A:Let me summarize from this.
Speaker A:Lord, Lord, we have.
Speaker A:She's quoting the scripture, Matthew.
Speaker A:Lord, Lord, we have not prophesied in your name, cast out demons in your name and done many have we not done these things, wonders in your name.
Speaker A:And then I will declare to them, I never knew you depart from me, you who practice lawlessness.
Speaker A:Well, first of all, receiving an immunization or a vaccine is not practicing lawlessness.
Speaker A:And depending on where you are in the world and depending on the circle of influence that you're surrounded by, this is either a really big issue or completely a non issue.
Speaker A:And it is just people on either side of vaccinations and immunizations are passionate either way.
Speaker A:It seems to be.
Speaker A:So, you know, we could take a straw poll on here and there'll be people that think vaccinations are no problem and other people that have been very injured by them.
Speaker A:And I just like get away from me, you know, whatever, you know, I don't have anything to do with that.
Speaker A:A lot of our opinions on these things aren't based in the word of God.
Speaker A:They come from our experiences or things or other people's experiences.
Speaker A:So we need to, we need to look beyond our little sphere of people of influence because we can become very one sided and out of balance if we only consider the same echo chamber that we find ourselves in.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:And you know, my thoughts on immunization and vaccines have changed through the years.
Speaker A:I'm going to give you a couple of examples, but I do think when it comes to this, you need to.
Speaker A:Whether you vaccinate your children or don't vaccinate your children, this needs to come from a place of peace.
Speaker A:This needs.
Speaker A:These decisions need to come from a place of peace.
Speaker A:Not.
Speaker A:And from the word of God, and not from.
Speaker A:From fear.
Speaker A:And, you know, there is fear on both sides.
Speaker A:People are afraid of having a vaccination and what that might do to them.
Speaker A:People are afraid of.
Speaker A:Of being around people that aren't vaccinated.
Speaker A:So, you know, there's fear on, absolutely.
Speaker A:On both sides of the camp.
Speaker A:And I don't think you should feel condemned or pressured by whatever decision you've made.
Speaker A:If you've decided to have vaccinations or not to have vaccinations, that's really no one else's business but yours, except in Christian circles where people get very vocal and like to heap around condemnation on both sides of the camp.
Speaker A:So I just think you absolutely need to be in peace about that.
Speaker A:And you can be in peace about having a vaccination, that it will.
Speaker A:It will be only good for you and you'll have no side effects.
Speaker A:You can be in fear about having a vaccination.
Speaker A:I mean, literally, it goes.
Speaker A:Goes everywhere.
Speaker A:You know, when our kids were in school, Hannah was about 4 years old, and we'd been through so many different, you know, rodeos.
Speaker A:We'd seen her miraculously healed.
Speaker A:When it came to take her to school, they had to have all of the, you know, the.
Speaker A:It was like the booster vaccinations when children are about to start school, and you have to have those in England in order to be able to go to school.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:And I think that's.
Speaker A:That's getting more popular in different places and now as well.
Speaker A:And, you know, this just didn't really sit very well with me because I just felt like, man, this is such a.
Speaker A:You know, we've been through all these things.
Speaker A:We haven't used doctors.
Speaker A:And then it doesn't really make a whole lot of sense.
Speaker A:So the Lord said to me, and I prayed about it, and the Lord said to me, you need to ask Hannah.
Speaker A:So I asked Hannah.
Speaker A:I said, explaining, look, I've got this letter, Hannah.
Speaker A:You know, they want you to go to the.
Speaker A:To the doctors and have some medicine put in your arm to stop you from getting sick.
Speaker A:And she said to me, well, mommy, I'm not going to get sick because, you know, I've got Jesus.
Speaker A:I'm like, that's a really good Point.
Speaker A:So it, it just, when I rationed it out with my 4 year old, it just didn't make a whole lot of sense for us to, to go through that process.
Speaker A:But then there was a big fear on me because I'm like, you know, we're living in England and we can't go to school if, you know, you don't have any vaccinations.
Speaker A:And so I'm like, well, I guess I'm gonna have to trust God on that, that he's bigger than this.
Speaker A:And sure enough, you know, they end up going to a Christian school that didn't require those.
Speaker A:And so my, you know, Jesus looked after us both ways now.
Speaker A:And I think if that's your deal, then you can pray, you can ask the Lord and he's got you covered.
Speaker A:He wants your child to be well and to have an education, right, so he could care.
Speaker A:You know, I believe that no deadly thing is going to go in my body and harm me.
Speaker A:You know, I happen to believe Mark 16 that I just read there.
Speaker A:So you can inject me with whatever you want.
Speaker A:It's not going to harm me.
Speaker A:That's where my faith is at, my faith in Jesus, not in something that I do or don't do.
Speaker A:Because our faith is not in a vaccination and neither is our fear.
Speaker A:We're not afraid of them.
Speaker A:I'm just, I don't care either way.
Speaker A:I do think that whatever you put faith in or whatever you, you know, will have an effect.
Speaker A:So if you put faith in Jesus, he's gonna, there's gonna be a protection of the Lord there.
Speaker A:But if you put, if you put faith in, in the words of fear of other people, like if you do this, these terrible things are going to come upon you.
Speaker A:Well, guess what?
Speaker A:You've put faith in that, you've listened to that.
Speaker A:It's going to manifest.
Speaker A:So you know, you've got to use wisdom and you need to hear from the, from the Lord and make an decision that's not based on, you know, on, on an echo chamber around you, but is based upon the word of God and what is the Holy Spirit is telling you to do.
Speaker A:So there you go, follow peace.
Speaker A:I'm not going to give you, you got to make, you got to decide for yourself.
Speaker A:But it isn't lawlessness, it isn't practicing lawlessness to take a vaccination.
Speaker A:Vaccinations did not exist when they wrote the Bible, so that's why they're not specifically mentioned.
Speaker A:Okay, what do you do if you pray for someone to be raised from the dead.
Speaker A:And they aren't move on.
Speaker A:I mean, honestly, when it comes to raising people from the dead, I do believe they have a choice.
Speaker A:They have a choice.
Speaker A:And you cannot force somebody against their will, once they're in the presence of Jesus, to come back.
Speaker A:So my experience, I've shared my experience on here before.
Speaker A:You know, when I was 12 years old, I had chronic asthma attack and I had the whole out of body experience, died, went to heaven, met Jesus.
Speaker A:And you know, it wasn't, it wasn't my time and I knew that I had to come back.
Speaker A:Now I never questioned that.
Speaker A:I just knew that that was the plan.
Speaker A:And so, and I came back into my body.
Speaker A:You can read my testimony in depth in my book, all is not lost.
Speaker A:But there was definitely a choice in that process.
Speaker A:And I have heard countless testimonies of other people that had similar experiences.
Speaker A:But, and I, and I've also seen people raised from the dead.
Speaker A:But I would say this.
Speaker A:You know, when you pray for somebody to be raised from the dead, it's not all on the person that's praying.
Speaker A:The person that, that it is affected, that has died, has an op, has a will where they, whether they decide to come back or not.
Speaker A:All right?
Speaker A:And God is not going to supersede that.
Speaker A:You know, and if you have been sick for a long time and you, you die and you suddenly in the presence of the Lord, that's a pretty tough decision, right?
Speaker A:You know, do I go back to the world or do I stay with Jesus?
Speaker A:You know, and it's, it's a hard decision for people to leave the presence of the Lord in, in person and go back into their body once they've experienced heaven.
Speaker A:So, um, you know, understand this, that when you, when you minister to somebody that has passed away, it's really not your choice.
Speaker A:It's understand that they, they are, they've just moved from one life to another life.
Speaker A:And you know, sometimes our, it's, it's our motivation that we want them to come back because, you know, we love them so much and we miss them so much.
Speaker A:But, but we as well can take comfort knowing that whatever happens, you know, if they, they choose to stay in heaven, then they're doing good, they're going to be, they're going to be fine.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:So what do you do if you pray for someone to be raised from the dead and they don't?
Speaker A:I'm going to pray.
Speaker A:I'm going to pray until I feel released to stop praying.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:But then I'm going to let them go.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:What do you do if you command someone to be healed and they're not healed?
Speaker A:Well, this is kind of a similar question.
Speaker A:In a sense, you know, we take authority over sickness and disease and in a person or in ourselves.
Speaker A:And there are a lot of things in play when we, when we use our authority or even when you operate in a gift of healing or of miracles.
Speaker A:And there's a lot more going on than we see in the surface.
Speaker A:So we do need to come to the point where we are more confident in what the word of God says than we do in having to see it with our natural five senses.
Speaker A:So when we speak the Word, the word goes effectively and it doesn't return void.
Speaker A:It's just oftentimes it's operating in a realm that you can't see with your eyes.
Speaker A:Like this when Jesus cursed the fig tree first.
Speaker A:So when we speak, sometimes we don't see anything or we.
Speaker A:We give up before we see anything because we don't realize that there is a lot more going on below the surface than we can see.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:So what do you do if you command someone to be healed and they're not healed?
Speaker A:I take it by faith.
Speaker A:I encourage them that the word of God is working on the inside of them and, and to go with expectation that them and.
Speaker A:And have that as their confession.
Speaker A:The Word's been released.
Speaker A:I believe it's working on the inside of you.
Speaker A:I believe it's working effectively.
Speaker A:And so go away and give thanks and praise and be.
Speaker A:And have expectation.
Speaker A:I'm not going away waiting for something to manifest.
Speaker A:I'm thanking God that your word is working on the inside of me.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:So I send them away encouraged.
Speaker A:How do you balance not making people feel guilty when they're not healed?
Speaker A:Well, first of all, I'm not trying to make people feel guilty, and I don't believe that it's a case of them not being healed.
Speaker A:I think sometimes it's a case of we have misunderstood what has happened when we have spoken.
Speaker A:But like you just said, we speak the word of God and we can have faith that it is doing something even if we can't see it immediately.
Speaker A:And so I would encourage them.
Speaker A:You know, there's.
Speaker A:There's a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to.
Speaker A:When it just comes to the gospel, you know, period.
Speaker A:And I think faith that the, the message of.
Speaker A:I hate to say faith camp, the word of faith can get a bit of a bad rap sometimes, because if we're not gracious with it, it can leave people in a place of condemnation when they find out, you know what, I can have authority over my body and I can receive healing, you know, I've still got symptoms in my body.
Speaker A:They can absolutely find themselves in a place of condemnation, wondering what is wrong with me?
Speaker A:Is there something, you know, is there something wrong?
Speaker A:Is, is, you know, come up with all kinds of reasons.
Speaker A:And the last thing we want to do is for people to, to take on that lie of condemnation which it really is a lie.
Speaker A:The enemy wants to condemn us, you know, and he'll try to point the finger back at us for not receiving, we're not receiving healing when he was the author of that sickness in the first place.
Speaker A:That's the ones who punch the enemy.
Speaker A:So, you know, have grace with other people and have grace with yourself.
Speaker A:If you're, if you're believing for healing your own body, have, have grace for yourself.
Speaker A:Understand that you are a work in progress.
Speaker A:And I would encourage people to, and I'd always point people to Jesus.
Speaker A:You know, the more we fall in love with the healer, the more healing we're going to see in our life.
Speaker A:And when we understand that healing as a person is not a thing, all right, we will step off the faith.
Speaker A:Merry go round of trying to work out how it all happens.
Speaker A:You know, we, we need.
Speaker A:Sometimes I've actually told people, you know, maybe you should stop praying for healing and just focus in on your relationship with the Lord because it's becoming a distraction, you know, and when, oftentimes we'll see this.
Speaker A:When people are dealing with more chronic conditions of, or life threatening conditions, it's like it becomes the only thing that, that we bring to the Lord in, in our relationship with him is the main focus of our relationship with him is getting something is receiving healing.
Speaker A:And you know, the healing is a blessing.
Speaker A:It absolutely is.
Speaker A:And it's provision that's been paid for.
Speaker A:But if we belittle our relationship with him just down to receiving healing, it's, it makes a relationship a transaction.
Speaker A:And God is not a transactional God.
Speaker A:He's a relational God.
Speaker A:And healing, he is healing.
Speaker A:Healing is the person called Jesus.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:And so I think sometimes it's beneficial to just focus in on being with him, being a child of God and building upon that relationship with him, rather than putting receiving, healing up as an idol on this pedestal.
Speaker A:Something that we're trying to attain that can really help people sometimes.
Speaker A:Okay, so next question.
Speaker A:I'm doing questions and answers, if you're just joining me, that people Sent in.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:How can I make my faith stronger so I can see miracles come to pass?
Speaker A:You know, understand this, that you have all the faith you're ever going to need, right?
Speaker A:If you've received Jesus, you have the measure of faith.
Speaker A:Romans 12, verse 3.
Speaker A:You have the measure, the Jesus kind of measure.
Speaker A:You have the healer himself, Jesus on the inside of you.
Speaker A:And you're never lacking in the faith department.
Speaker A:But we need to begin to use the faith that we have.
Speaker A:We need to, Hebrew says by reason of use, we need to have our senses exercised.
Speaker A:Bashing into things, we need to have our senses exercised.
Speaker A:We need to, we need to use the faith that we have.
Speaker A:And it is by using the word of God in our decision making processes, in our words, in our everyday actions that will start to see those, see confidence.
Speaker A:Our heartbeat starts to become more fully persuaded, you know, because it starts to gain ground.
Speaker A:And so if you want to start seeing your faith activated, you know, Philemon verse 6, it says that your faith becomes effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing that's in you, in Christ Jesus.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:So that's a great place to start.
Speaker A:Start thanking God, acknowledging every good and perfect thing that he's put on the inside of you, and it actually starts to make your faith become effective.
Speaker A:It's like watering that right or, or exercising that faith muscle.
Speaker A:Some people describe it as so, you know, we, we need to start realizing what we have in Christ, what He's given us, giving thanks to him for that and also having a foundation in the, in the word of God because we find those things out by reading His Word.
Speaker A:We find out who Jesus is by reading the word of God and meditating on it.
Speaker A:And you know, meditating doesn't just mean reading, it means speaking, stuttering, stuttering, uttering it or roaring it like a lion, right?
Speaker A:So keeping the word of God before us and when we start doing those things and then pray for people, you know, demonstrate.
Speaker A:Exercise boot camp.
Speaker A:You know, I talked about that at the beginning of.
Speaker A:This is a great way to, to, to do this very thing.
Speaker A:You want to see the faith that you have activated.
Speaker A:Do boot camp.
Speaker A:It's going to help you put you through your paces.
Speaker A:It'll give you plenty of opportunities to practice.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:How many sicknesses do you believe come from a heart that has unforgiveness towards others?
Speaker A:How many sicknesses?
Speaker A:I don't think it's a number.
Speaker A:There isn't like, you know, a certain number that can say well out 39 roots of disease, there's going to be 12.
Speaker A:You know, it's.
Speaker A:It's not a number.
Speaker A:There's absolutely a correlation between unforgiveness in our heart and sickness that we see in our body.
Speaker A:Absolutely.
Speaker A:And, you know, I've got a whole section of it.
Speaker A:We.
Speaker A:We may be completely innocent, and they've done something absolutely outrageous to us, right?
Speaker A:But forgiveness is for us.
Speaker A:It's not for them.
Speaker A:So when we forgive other people, what we're doing is we are releasing them.
Speaker A:We are releasing them from having hold over us anymore.
Speaker A:And this is really important because when we're carrying around pain and bitterness and anger and hurt and offense on the inside of us, when we don't forgive people, those are the things that manifest in our heart.
Speaker A:We are inviting the enemy into the situation.
Speaker A:That's what we're doing.
Speaker A:And we're saying, you know, Jesus, I know you died for the sins of the entire world, for all of mankind, forever on the cross.
Speaker A:And I know you don't hold the sin of mankind against them, but I'm gonna.
Speaker A:That's what we're saying when we refuse to.
Speaker A:To forgive people.
Speaker A:We're saying that Jesus, your blood, your sacrifice wasn't enough for the sins, the offenses they've committed towards me.
Speaker A:And that really is a massive act of pride.
Speaker A:So, you know, all of those things kind of open the doorway for the enemy to.
Speaker A:To have a place in our heart that we don't.
Speaker A:We don't want him in there, you know, and when we do that, I like to think of it like this, right?
Speaker A:We attempt.
Speaker A:We are the.
Speaker A:We are the temple of the Holy Ghost.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:We are the.
Speaker A:We are the temple of the Holy Ghost.
Speaker A:And when we.
Speaker A:When we refuse to forgive people, when we want to hold onto offenses, it's kind of like leaving the back door of the temple ajar and just let it leave it unlocked.
Speaker A:And the enemy intruders can creep in, and we don't want that.
Speaker A:And that would include sickness and disease.
Speaker A:And, you know, we kind of see this.
Speaker A:There's plenty of scriptures on this that like these things, bitterness rots the bones.
Speaker A:You know, we had a neighbor once, many years ago, and he was an elderly man.
Speaker A:He didn't speak to any of his family.
Speaker A:And, you know, we lived.
Speaker A:We lived next to him for, I think it was like four or five years.
Speaker A:And through that time, we saw him get angry and angry.
Speaker A:Like he was the angry old man over the fence.
Speaker A:He was the angry, grumpy neighbor man next door.
Speaker A:And it didn't matter how Sweet you were, how kind you were to him.
Speaker A:He was just miserable.
Speaker A:He, you know, the sun could be shiny, the birds could be singing, it could be a beautiful day.
Speaker A:And he couldn't find one thing to be thankful for.
Speaker A:He would turn every conversation around.
Speaker A:To him, every conversation around was negative.
Speaker A:He was just like, in the end, you wanted to avoid him.
Speaker A:But I noticed something.
Speaker A:He was just angry about everything and everybody.
Speaker A:And, you know, the, the hurt and the pain of whatever.
Speaker A:I don't exactly know the details of who had hurt him so much, but it started to rot him on the inside.
Speaker A:And he just, you know, he got more and more bitten over the course of those four years that we live next door to him.
Speaker A:He get more and more just really twisted up.
Speaker A:And we started to see it was like a visual representation of what unforgiveness does a person's heart.
Speaker A:So absolutely, it's a big issue.
Speaker A:And if that's something that you're dealing with, the best place you can, you can do, you can start is to say, holy Spirit, help me, help me.
Speaker A:I want to forgive so and so.
Speaker A:And you know, forgiveness begins with a choice, just like faith begins with a choice.
Speaker A:Lord, I choose to forgive so and so.
Speaker A:And you don't add any conditions to it, but they were a dirty, rotten sinner and they just, you know, they deserve it.
Speaker A:And.
Speaker A:No, no, no, no, no.
Speaker A:Just like Holy Spirit, I choose to forgive so and so I choose to release them and I bless them in Jesus name.
Speaker A:And every time they come back to your remembrance, if every time you're tempted to meditate on what they did or what they said or get angry or offended, yet, nope, I choose to forgive.
Speaker A:I choose to release them from that.
Speaker A:Because your payment on the cross was bigger than their sin, bigger than that.
Speaker A:And you know, as we start to begin that process, and sometimes you might have to do that multiple times a day, I.
Speaker A:But I'm telling you, it is, it is powerful.
Speaker A:And you start to see the effects in your body because now you're releasing the power of God rather than inviting the power of the enemy.
Speaker A:Okay, how come you can lose.
Speaker A:This is interesting.
Speaker A:How come you can lose healing but not salvation when they're the same?
Speaker A:You know what?
Speaker A:That's a great question.
Speaker A:And I don't believe you can lose your healing, and I don't believe you can lose your salvation.
Speaker A:So there you go.
Speaker A:I mean, you'd have to.
Speaker A:Now, there are some exceptions to that, but I think what.
Speaker A:Maybe what I should say is, I think that's very difficult to do so.
Speaker A:You know, when it turn when we talk about losing salvation, there's different sides of the camp on this.
Speaker A:Some people say, you know, once saved, always saved.
Speaker A:There's nothing you can do.
Speaker A:Once you pray the sinless prayer, you're in the kingdom, your name's in the book of life.
Speaker A:That's it, you're done forever.
Speaker A:It doesn't matter what you do after that.
Speaker B:Other people.
Speaker A:So you work out your salvation, right?
Speaker A:You work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
Speaker A:Now, both of these are right and wrong in different senses.
Speaker A:I would say that then in the book of Hebrews, it talks about the people that have received salvation.
Speaker A:They call them once enlightened, once having their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Speaker A:This is talking about somebody that has received salvation and that they are a mature believer.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:They have operated in the spiritual gifts.
Speaker A:They know exactly what they're doing, and they intentionally and wholeheartedly decide to discount all of those things and walk away and, and, and follow after the enemy.
Speaker A:Then their choice has been made.
Speaker A:They are not in ignorance.
Speaker A:They are not rejecting the Lord because they had a bad moment or they stubbed their toe or, or whatever.
Speaker A:It is an absolutely intentional, fully aware, fully mature decision that they've made at that point.
Speaker A:I do believe they can, they can give up their salvation.
Speaker A:Because if you want to go and submit your life to the enemy and wholeheartedly following me having been been saved in the first place, and you know what you're doing, then, then God's given you free will, you can do that.
Speaker A:But how many people actually do that?
Speaker A:I think would be a shockingly small amount.
Speaker A:Okay, so when, so saying that, and the question was, how come you can lose your healing but not lose your salvation when they're the same thing?
Speaker A:Healing comes in the same package as salvation, right?
Speaker A:So in the sense, I don't believe that you can just flippantly lose your salvation, and I don't believe you can flippantly lose your healing either.
Speaker A:I think what's more common is that people receive healing in their body and then symptoms start to come back.
Speaker A:And when those symptoms start to start to come back, people fall for the lie.
Speaker A:I don't believe it's the sickness that's coming back.
Speaker A:I believe it's the enemy that's tempting you with a symptom.
Speaker A:Just like after you've been born again and you've received salvation, the enemy comes to tempt you with sin, right?
Speaker A:Just because he has tempted you with sin doesn't mean that that you are a sinner.
Speaker A:No, you was a sinner, but now you've been saved by grace, right?
Speaker A:Now you have a new nature.
Speaker A:So just because a temptation to sin comes doesn't mean that you're a sinner.
Speaker A:Just because a symptom comes doesn't mean that you're.
Speaker A:That you're sick.
Speaker A:But what people do is they.
Speaker A:They.
Speaker A:They recognize that symptom as something that they've had in their body before and think, oh, that's that disease come back again.
Speaker A:That's that, you know, and they think, and they.
Speaker A:And what?
Speaker B:They.
Speaker B:They.
Speaker A:Because they bite into it, it swings the door wide open, and then it's almost like they're having to backpedal.
Speaker A:So I want you to understand, this is so important.
Speaker A:When we have events and we have people up testifying of their healing, we pre.
Speaker A:Warn them when you leave here.
Speaker A:You know, it's quite common for those symptoms to come knocking back at the door of your temple again.
Speaker A:They're wanting permission to come back in.
Speaker A:But now, you know, that's how the.
Speaker A:That's the enemy's M.O.
Speaker A:You can be forwarding.
Speaker A:Oh, I recognize that symptom.
Speaker A:You're a lie on the heels of the Lord.
Speaker A:And you hold on to what you have.
Speaker A:You don't just lose it, right?
Speaker A:You kind of.
Speaker B:You.
Speaker A:You might fall for a lie temporarily, but that doesn't really mean that's who you are.
Speaker B:Okay?
Speaker A:So I hope that clears it up for you.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker A:If you have received your healing before but lost it, this is the same kind of question and fear losing it again.
Speaker A:How can you overcome that?
Speaker A:You need to become more confident, more grounded in the word of God.
Speaker A:Okay?
Speaker B:Because.
Speaker A:And this is the difference between somebody that has received something by revelation and some.
Speaker A:I call it osmosis, right?
Speaker A:Somebody that's received healing by osmosis, in other words, by somebody touching them, laying hands on them.
Speaker A:So if you receive your healing, your manifestation of healing from the word of God, from the Holy Spirit, from.
Speaker A:You might have heard a word that somebody said, but it just kind of bursts forth from the inside of you and it becomes yours.
Speaker A:You've got it by revelation.
Speaker A:It's much harder for the enemy to steal that from you because it's grounded and rooted in revelation from the Holy Spirit now than it is if you go somewhere and somebody lays hands on you and the operations of the heart, the four different kinds of ground, and the.
Speaker A:The sorce, the seed, which is the word of God, and the birds, the air, come and snatch it, right?
Speaker A:And some seed Gets snatched right off the top of the soil.
Speaker A:Some.
Speaker A:Some seed gets just below the ground, but doesn't have very big roots.
Speaker A:And so when the sun comes up, it withers and dry.
Speaker A:Some seed starts to sprout, but then there's the cares of the world, the deceitfulness of riches, the lust for other things that choke the word of God.
Speaker A:And so it doesn't produce fruit.
Speaker A:See, some people, this.
Speaker A:This really does represent some people that receive healing as well.
Speaker A:They receive a healing word on the inside of them.
Speaker A:I taught a little bit about this at the cure, actually, in one of my sessions.
Speaker A:They receive it on the inside of them, but then they have no roots of their own.
Speaker A:And because they have no roots of their own, or when symptoms come like persecution to, you know, challenge that word of that seed on the inside of them, they give up really easily.
Speaker A:It's snatched away from them really easily Just.
Speaker A:Just through the natural circumstances, just through the natural symptoms.
Speaker A:But when we take that word of God and we let it get down on the inside of us and we mix it with faith, it becomes revelation.
Speaker A:Now, it's not just something that we've heard in our head, but it's in our heart.
Speaker A:I'm telling you.
Speaker A:It's like when.
Speaker A:When symptoms come against that word, what comes out of us to fight against that symptom is the word of God.
Speaker A:And so we overcome that fear of those symptoms coming back by having our heart and our mind rooted in the truth of God's word.
Speaker A:I saw in the comments a little moment ago there that somebody was saying something about my book Fearless.
Speaker A:If you're dealing with fear, you should get that book.
Speaker A:It's really good, by the way.
Speaker A:It's a good one.
Speaker A:Lots of people have issues with fear, but, you know, fear is false evidence appearing real.
Speaker A:It's a trick.
Speaker A:It's a lie of the enemy.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Okay.
Speaker A:Does someone who has been healed from something hold any special anointing or authority over that for others?
Speaker A:For example, if you had a manifest, a healing with a knee injury or depression, do you have a special anointing in praying over people and seeking those things?
Speaker A:Is this a false teaching?
Speaker A:You know, I have been meditating on this, actually, because I don't necessarily think that we have a special anointing when we have a testimony in a particular area.
Speaker A:I think what we have is a confidence in it.
Speaker A:And it's almost like you walk in a greater measure of authority than you did before.
Speaker A:I don't think it's an anointing per se.
Speaker A:I think.
Speaker A:I mean, and I'm not.
Speaker A:I'm not talking here about gifts of the spirit because there is an anointing in us, and then there is an anointing on us, okay?
Speaker A:But I think when we have a testimony in the area, when we've overcome in the area, we've seen it defeated before.
Speaker A:And so we all.
Speaker A:We have confidence to see defeated again, if that makes sense.
Speaker A:You know, the best example I can think of in scripture to back this up is like, David when he fought Goliath, you know, everyone else heard that same giant spewing all his, you know, lies and accusations and telling, you know, awful things, and they were afraid.
Speaker A:And David heard the same words of that giant and everyone else did, but he responded differently.
Speaker A:And he responded with authority.
Speaker A:And the reason he responded with authority was because he had a track record.
Speaker A:He'd already overcome the lion and the bear before he'd seen God deliver him from those things before.
Speaker A:And he said to that giant, you're going to be just like one of those.
Speaker A:So he.
Speaker A:Because he had a testimony, because he'd overcome in those areas, because he'd fought a battle and won.
Speaker A:When the next giant came, he's like, I've seen your kind before.
Speaker A:You're going to be just like.
Speaker A:Just like those other things, right?
Speaker A:So I think.
Speaker A:I don't think it's a special anointing.
Speaker A:I think it's a measure of authority and confidence and boldness in who we are in Christ, because we've already run that kind of battle before.
Speaker A:Okay, can I receive a healing for a religious family member?
Speaker A:You cannot receive a healing on behalf of somebody else.
Speaker A:You can't receive salvation on behalf of somebody else.
Speaker A:You can pray for somebody else, right?
Speaker A:To receive salvation.
Speaker A:You can lead them in salvation.
Speaker A:You can lead them in receiving healing, but you can't receive it for yourself.
Speaker A:Them.
Speaker A:Yourself, for them.
Speaker A:Because, you know, salvation is.
Speaker A:Is when you're.
Speaker A:You're saved.
Speaker A:It's.
Speaker A:That's the spirit thing.
Speaker A:You know, it's their spirit, not your spirit.
Speaker A:It's their body, not your body.
Speaker A:So you can stand in agreement for them, right?
Speaker A:You can pray a prayer of agreement with them, but you can't receive on their behalf.
Speaker A:You can't receive forgivenesses of sin on their behalf either.
Speaker A:So kind of goes with.
Speaker A:And the fact that they're a religious family member, you know, that doesn't really.
Speaker A:Religious people can receive healing.
Speaker A:Religious people can receive salvation.
Speaker A:You know, they just have to be open to it.
Speaker A:Okay, I have prayed for lots of people, but Never sought a healing.
Speaker A:How can I see God's power in my life?
Speaker A:Pray for more people.
Speaker A:I see a lot of people healed, but I pray for a lot of people.
Speaker A:I probably see more people healed than you do, but I probably pray for more people than you do.
Speaker A:So, you know, I just keep praying for people.
Speaker A:Really, That's.
Speaker A:I mean, just keep praying for people.
Speaker A:And I encourage you as well.
Speaker A:Don't look at all the people that don't.
Speaker A:Don't receive.
Speaker A:You just keep praying.
Speaker A:You know, God's word, you stand on God's word.
Speaker A:Your job is not for.
Speaker A:To get them healed.
Speaker A:Your job is to believe the word of God and to not let your unbelief get in the way, right?
Speaker A:So we are only responsible for our, our own heart, not the heart of the people that we're praying for.
Speaker A:And so we can prepare ourselves, we can make sure that we're stirred up, that we have great expectation, and that we try our best not to be moved at a heart level by, by the five senses of the things that we see or not to let disappointment creep in.
Speaker A:You know, it's really interesting, but we can go to meetings and we can see so many people healed, and then we'll go away.
Speaker A:And on the back of my mind, even, even now is all the people they didn't receive, and you'd have 100 people healed, you'd have a phenomenal meeting, but you'll go away still thinking about the people that didn't receive.
Speaker A:Because you know what?
Speaker A:We.
Speaker A:We have a heart of compassion for people.
Speaker A:And faith works by love.
Speaker A:And when you, when you feel compassion for people, when you truly love people, you want them to receive what you know God has for them.
Speaker A:And there are certain situations in ministry that just break your heart.
Speaker A:People that you just go away thinking about them.
Speaker A:But, you know, there's.
Speaker A:There is.
Speaker A:And I don't know how to explain this very well, but there is a compartmentalization that has to happen.
Speaker A:Because if you're, if you're in ministry and you're.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:That's what God has called you to.
Speaker A:Specifically, if you go away thinking about all the people, those sad situations, those, those things that, that are just, you know, they're beyond your control, right?
Speaker A:What it'll do is it'll play in your mind and it'll affect you when you go to pray for the next people.
Speaker A:And you know, you have to.
Speaker A:This is, I think for me, this is part of casting the burden upon the Lord and knowing that it is God's will.
Speaker A:For people to receive first time every time.
Speaker A:But there are many factors at play.
Speaker A:But don't let the things that the enemy is doing distract you from what God is doing.
Speaker A:And it's good to remember also that there's always more going on behind the scenes.
Speaker A:God is always doing something beyond what you can see anyway.
Speaker A:There's always things going, more than you can see is going on.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:Okay, so what role does laughter and joy play in healing?
Speaker A:You know, this is really big, actually more than people realize.
Speaker A:Nehemiah 8, 10 says, the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Speaker A:If the enemy can steal your strength, he can make you weak.
Speaker A:Someone needs to hear that.
Speaker A:If the enemy can steal your joy, he can, he can make you weak.
Speaker A:And you know, he's one of his, one of his greatest strategies in that is to, is to grab your focus first.
Speaker A:So he'll grab your focus over on what he's doing on some, he start to meditate on those, on those things.
Speaker A:It becomes like a negative downward spiral.
Speaker A:And you know, they've actually done studies on this in medical hospitals and they've taken wards of cancer patients and made them sit and watch like comedy shows and, you know, funny things.
Speaker A:And they've realized the power of laughter is really, really valuable.
Speaker A:There was a study done years ago now, brother Mark Hankins taught on this.
Speaker A:I'm trying to remember the details and I.
Speaker A:But he was sharing that the studies a scientist found was the human body cannot differentiate between a real laughing and a fake laughing.
Speaker A:And so you know, some, the, the, the experience of that.
Speaker A:And before you know it, you enter into real belly laughing.
Speaker A:So anyway, it does actually have a real physical effect in a positive way on your body.
Speaker A:Okay, what role does community and fellowship?
Speaker A:And I'm gonna just take a couple more questions here because there's more, I've done my best, but there is a lot.
Speaker A:What role does community and fellowship play in the healing journey?
Speaker A:You know, more than people would think, more actually than people would think.
Speaker A:And it can be positive or negative.
Speaker A:You know, the community that you're a part of, whether that is an online community.
Speaker A:And I love seeing familiar people on here, your names, familiar names on here.
Speaker A:Because this really is a community.
Speaker A:And so when we start to, to be, find our community of positivity, of people that are like minded believers that are standing in faith, you know, that there is, there's something contagious about that in a good way.
Speaker A:We can stir each other up, we can encourage each other up, we can challenge each other to believe God for more.
Speaker A:For more, right.
Speaker A:And there's a real power that's in that.
Speaker A:And you know, we, we are built to be in community.
Speaker A:God created mankind not to be alone.
Speaker A:He said it's not good for you to be alone.
Speaker A:So whether you have a physical community or whether you have an online community, you still need to have community.
Speaker A:You are designed with that, that capacity, that need for it.
Speaker A:And you know, as much as a positive community can help you, can encourage you, can disciple you to receive from God, you know, a very negative community can take you and have very negative effects.
Speaker A:And there's examples of this in scripture.
Speaker A:Several times Jesus took people outside of the town.
Speaker A:At least twice I can think of where Jesus took people outside of the town.
Speaker A:Sometimes he literally shut the door on people because there was a very negative community in the area that moves people at a hot level.
Speaker A:And we can be moved towards God or we can be moved away from, from God.
Speaker A:So Jesus was aware of that.
Speaker A:And you know, he was, he was dealing with people with tight knit communities all the time.
Speaker A:He was running into that fellowship plate as well.
Speaker B:Yep.
Speaker A:Absolute fellowship.
Speaker A:You know, scriptures don't forsake the fellowship of believers.
Speaker A:And so it's not just community but fellowship.
Speaker A:And you know, I think those things are similar but different.
Speaker A:And we need to make sure that we are in fellowship with the Lord and the Holy Spirit and Jesus.
Speaker A:That's a community right there.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:But that's that there's an intimacy that, that happens there.
Speaker A:And you know that there's a fellowship that you have with believers, specifically other like minded believers that you won't necessarily have with your wider community.
Speaker A:So there's another, I think that's, for me that's, that's a different.
Speaker A:Fellowship denotes a level of intimacy that community doesn't.
Speaker A:You know, you don't give your heart to everyone.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So you absolutely need fellowship as well.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:If God.
Speaker A:That's funny.
Speaker A:I would like.
Speaker A:This person says I would like help knowing how to respond to my pastor.
Speaker A:He reads excerpts of God Wants you where that's a book by Andrew Wommack and he wants to meet with me to discuss it.
Speaker A:But he struggles with what to do with those who don't manifest complete healing in their bodies and stumbles over the biblical belief that Jesus healed them all.
Speaker A:He didn't say this, but I think he feels like he will have to deal with a messy process when someone doesn't get well or dies, etc.
Speaker A:You know, a lot of people, especially pastors, actually will back off of healing because you know, pastors are shepherds, and they love and care and tend for their flock.
Speaker A:And you know, there when you stop, when you stop ministering, you know, healing's available for you.
Speaker A:God paid for it.
Speaker A:It's his will for your life.
Speaker A:He wants you.
Speaker A:Well, there's an alternative to just being sick and dying like, you know, everyone else in the world.
Speaker A:You know, it challenges people because what you're saying is there is a measure of authority that we have as people and therefore a measure of responsibility to apply the word of God to our lives for ourselves.
Speaker A:And, you know, as pastors sometimes, maybe not just pastors, but, you know, other people as well, they'll back off the word of God in that promise because they look around and they say, well, people are discouraged.
Speaker A:They think it's their fault.
Speaker A:They don't know how to handle that.
Speaker A:They feel like they're condemned for being sick and that, that.
Speaker A:That mess that you talk about.
Speaker A:So they back off of the promise of God with a fear of offending people.
Speaker A:And, you know, this is.
Speaker A:This is a slippery slope because, you know, we wouldn't do that with sin, right?
Speaker A:We wouldn't do that with salvation.
Speaker A:I'm not going to back off salvation because it might offend some people because it literally is.
Speaker A:It is life and death, you know, for those people like to receive salvation or not to receive salvation.
Speaker A:And it's the same with healing.
Speaker A:It can be life and death for people.
Speaker A:So we cannot let the word of God be diminished by our experiences or make our experiences of greater value than the word of God.
Speaker A:I think there comes a place of humility that can say, I know what the word of God says.
Speaker A:I know this is a promise for.
Speaker B:Me,.
Speaker A:And I believe it.
Speaker A:But there is also a part of my humanness that is grappling with this.
Speaker A:And maybe I'm not seeing every single piece and part of the word of God manifesting in my life, but I know it's God's will for me, and that's quite different.
Speaker A:And I think you can approach that with humility, saying, I'm a work in progress.
Speaker A:I'm learning.
Speaker A:I'm a student of the Word.
Speaker A:Holy Spirit, help me to understand the things that seem complicated and difficult for me.
Speaker A:I know that this is your will, but my flesh is really struggling with this right now.
Speaker A:And I think if we approach the truths of God's Word and his promises with that humility, Lord, I know it's your will, but I don't.
Speaker A:I need your help to walk in this.
Speaker A:You know, we do the same thing when it comes to living the Christian life.
Speaker A:Lord, I've received salvation.
Speaker A:I know that I've been set free from sin.
Speaker A:But there are some, maybe some.
Speaker A:There's some things in my life that I'm still struggling to walk out, you know, walk in holiness, in, help me in that.
Speaker A:Would that, you know, that that would be a completely acceptable prayer, but yet we wouldn't apply the same thing to healing.
Speaker A:I mean, that doesn't make sense.
Speaker A:And I think we need to approach it the same way.
Speaker A:You know, that God wants us well.
Speaker A:And sometimes we're just struggling to renew our minds to that fact.
Speaker A:And it's okay to admit that we're in the process with that and without having to allow, you know, condemnation.
Speaker A:God's will is for us to be.
Speaker A:Well, God's will is for us to be saved.
Speaker A:And our first step is to agree with his will.
Speaker B:Right.
Speaker A:That that's the first step.
Speaker A:And, you know, we're in process and the rest of the rest of stuff and.
Speaker A:And the Holy Spirit will help us with it.
Speaker B:Okay.
Speaker A:All right, so I've got one more here.
Speaker A:Oh, last one.
Speaker A:I'm going to answer here.
Speaker A:And then I want to pray for you.
Speaker A:So it says, should I stop taking depression and anxiety medication?
Speaker A:I believe I'm healed from depression and anxiety, but I wonder if I'll have an episode of depression I can't handle without the medication.
Speaker A:No is the answer, is the short answer for this.
Speaker A:If you're taking medication and you are concerned that you won't be able to handle a symptom that comes when you stop taking the medication, you are not in the place of faith to stop taking that medication yet.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:You know, the very.
Speaker A:The very word faith, it means to be fully convinced, to be fully persuaded.
Speaker A:And your heart is obviously not fully persuaded in that area yet.
Speaker A:So you in a place of hope.
Speaker A:I hope when I stop taking my medication, it's going to be better.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:But you're not yet in a place of faith, so you've made a good start.
Speaker A:I would say encourage yourself there.
Speaker A:You're on the right track considering the things that you're considering, but you're not quite there yet to step over the finish line.
Speaker A:And so I would say spend more time just really understanding what I have in Christ if I were you.
Speaker A:You know, depression and anxiety can be demonic, but ultimately, when we are rooted and grounded in our identity in Christ, that fear, that is the basis for that depression and anxiety.
Speaker A:You know, perfect love casts out fear.
Speaker A:And fear is one of Those things that, you know, in, in Hebrews 2, round about verse 14, it says that Jesus set from those things because it's the enemy that wants to keep us in fear.
Speaker A:A lifetime of bondage.
Speaker A:All their lifetime, the fear of death was a lifetime of bondage is how it's described.
Speaker A:And, you know, that can be.
Speaker A:That's very habitual.
Speaker A:If we are struggling a lot with depression and anxiety, we have habitual fear that didn't just come, you know, overnight.
Speaker A:Usually it came from an experience.
Speaker A:It came from something that we meditated on over a period of time.
Speaker B:And.
Speaker A:And certainly if you're at the point where you're taking medication for that, this is a more chronic problem than it is an acute problem.
Speaker A:And so I'd say that this is going to take renewing of the mind to, to see real transformation and to see those cycles of fear broken and to.
Speaker A:To see your real identity start coming out, you know, in your spirit.
Speaker A:Once you get born again, your spirit has the nature of God on the inside of it.
Speaker A:And so you're.
Speaker A:And part of the fruit of the Spirit is joy, and it is peace.
Speaker A:And if you're in fear and depression and anxiety, what's in your spirit is being stopped up from flowing through into your soul and into your body.
Speaker A:It doesn't mean that it's not right there at any point.
Speaker A:We can tap into the joy and the peace that is on the inside of us in the person of Jesus is in our spirit.
Speaker A:We carry around as believers Joy and peace 100 of the time, but we haven't learned how to tap into it yet.
Speaker A:And so what's more real to us is fear and anxiety and those things that are manifesting in our flesh.
Speaker A:So we have to renew our mind to the truth of who we are in Christ.
Speaker A:And that can take a little bit of a process, especially the longer that you've been meditating in the realms of negativity.
Speaker A:It can take a little bit of a process to renew your mind.
Speaker A:But as you start getting into the Word of God, you'll start to discover more of who you really are.
Speaker A:It's not just in the book, but it's on the inside of us.
Speaker A:And I'll say, ask the Holy Spirit to help that Word of God not just be something that you read or that you hear about or you see in other people, but say Holy Spirit, help this to become real to me.
Speaker A:Help this to become rhema to me.
Speaker A:Help this Word to become my word, not just a word in the Bible, right?
Speaker A:You.
Speaker A:You literally Draw on the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A:Remember, the Holy Spirit's job is to lead you into all truth.
Speaker A:That's.
Speaker A:That's what he does.
Speaker A:He leads you into all truth.
Speaker A:He is your counselor.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:He is your comforter.
Speaker A:That's his job.
Speaker A:So I would encourage you to.
Speaker A:To draw on his power on the inside of you and, and walk through that process.
Speaker A:And we have lots of materials that can help you do that as well.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:I think that's a testimony I see on the screen there.

Speaker A:I had eczema patch on my body and itchy and rough.
Speaker A:I commanded it to be gone, and it gone.

Speaker A:Patricia says, if the problem is in the mind, can you ask God to renew it?

Speaker A:You know, Romans 12, verse 1 and 2, it says, do not be conformed to this world.
Speaker A:Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Speaker A:So we renew our minds to the Word of God.
Speaker A:All that means is that we read about who we are from the Word of God, not.
Speaker A:Not from other people's opinions or from our circumstances.
Speaker A:And we choose to believe it.
Speaker A:And we choose to believe it, and we choose to believe it, and we choose to believe it some more.
Speaker A:Right?
Speaker A:And we make that decision over and over and over again.
Speaker A:And that way is how we start to renew our minds.
Speaker A:You've got to get the word of God on the inside of us.
Speaker B:Us.
Speaker A:Amen.
Speaker A:And I like it to think about the Word of God like a.
Speaker A:Like a prescription.
Speaker B:Right?
Speaker A:It's the gospel.
Speaker A:You know, if the doctor told you to take a pill three times a day, a prescription three times a day, and you'd see breakthrough and you'd see healing in your body.
Speaker A:You do that because you went to him for advice and you took his prescription, right?
Speaker A:But if we applied the gospel like a gospel, take it a few times a day, it's not works.
Speaker A:It's just a process of renewing our mind.
Speaker A:And we, you know, we meditate on it and we choose to believe it, and we ask the Holy Spirit to help become revelation to us, we're going to start to see the fruit of that.
Speaker A:There's going to be some side effects of the Word of God in our life, and that is a daily process.
Speaker A:But let's pray for your prayer request as well.
Speaker A:Father God, I just thank you that you want us to be well.
Speaker A:Thank you Lord for these truths that you have revealed to us today.
Speaker A:Holy Spirit, help them to become not just words on the page, not just words that Carly has said.
Speaker A:But Lord, help those truths to become cemented on the inside of us.
Speaker A:Let that that wisdom and revelation burst forth on the inside.
Speaker A:Lord, we ask for wisdom in these matters and in the matters that concerning us.
