Speaker A:

Wow, you are fast, Joy.

Speaker A:

You're quick.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

But you know, this is, and I think there's actually some, there's some sort of social media contest going on about this book at the moment.

Speaker A:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

Our team, our team does stuff beyond me.

Speaker A:

They have skills that I know not of.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Okay, well that's enough of that.

Speaker A:

So today let's get into the word.

Speaker A:

We have been teaching through the chat, the he healing modules on Power Academy.

Speaker A:

And you know, lots of people haven't we have, you know, we have over 13, 000 students on Power Academy.

Speaker A:

Over 13, 000 last time they counted.

Speaker A:

And so that's a lot of people all around the world that are joining in Power Academy.

Speaker A:

If you don't know what Power Academy is, it is our tuition free online Bible school and it's an amazing resource.

Speaker A:

We have over 350 hours of teaching on there.

Speaker A:

So lots and lots of lessons that are going to be able to keep you busy on there.

Speaker A:

And you know, what was that excuse this, Strigata?

Speaker A:

I think Jesus is not able to hear.

Speaker A:

Well, you know what, just stay tuned.

Speaker A:

I think we're going to change our mind on that point because you know, we've got so many testimonies of people that have been healed.

Speaker A:

I've been healed.

Speaker A:

In fact, the book that I'm giving away today, Strigato, this one here has got my healing testament, being healed of epilepsy in there.

Speaker A:

My daughter's healing testimony of being healed.

Speaker A:

She had an autoimmune disease and was healed with just three days to live at three years old and many, many other testimonies in there as well.

Speaker A:

And if you go on our website, you'll find loads of people testifying on there and even on our social media pages of people receiving miraculous breakthroughs, breakthroughs that have been confirmed by the medical profession as well.

Speaker A:

And our daughter was.

Speaker A:

You're born with one arm.

Speaker A:

One is still missing after 60 years of prayer.

Speaker A:

You know, you can be healed of that.

Speaker A:

I've seen, I've seen a withered foot.

Speaker A:

Somebody didn't have a, didn't have.

Speaker A:

They just had like a little stubby bit and their foot instantly grew out.

Speaker A:

So I know that that is possible.

Speaker A:

One of the things you battle with more when you have something that is physical is it's hard for your brain to overcome the natural unbelief.

Speaker A:

And that's the barrier.

Speaker A:

It's not that that Jesus isn't healing people today is that sometimes within us, the way that we, the way that we view things, it can seem so impossible in the natural that it's hard for us to kind over the hump.

Speaker A:

But one way that we get over the hump when we're faced with something that has such a, such a visual, just a visual blockage of unbelief is to really steep ourselves in the word of God and to until the word of God and the promises of God become more real to us than what we see with our eyes, you know, and we could all go through that.

Speaker A:

We've got, we've had people that, you know, have had lots of symptoms for years and years and years.

Speaker A:

And then we also have people that have been symptom free for years and years and years.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And we can have testimonies on both camps.

Speaker A:

Testaments of people saying I'm not healed.

Speaker A:

Testament to people that saying I am healed.

Speaker A:

But the fact is, no matter what your experience is, this word here, this big old Bible doesn't change.

Speaker A:

So we can go by our, we can live our faith out by our experience or we can live our faith out by the word of God.

Speaker A:

And we, you know, we have to choose that.

Speaker A:

And I've come to realize of all of the ups and downs that we've had in our life that when I place my faith on my experience, that's a really shaky place to be because sometimes I'll have an experience that's positive and I think, oh, the word works.

Speaker A:

God does answer prayers.

Speaker A:

And sometimes I'll have an experience that's negative and then I'll be like, well, you know what?

Speaker A:

That prayer wasn't answered.

Speaker A:

Well, what happens then is you ride this roller coaster, right?

Speaker A:

And that's a problem.

Speaker A:

That's a real issue.

Speaker A:

But when we put our faith upon the word of God and, and, and get away from having to be so experiential, you know, we, we know because we know.

Speaker A:

But you know, many times I'm thinking of it, I'm not even getting into my teaching yet, but I'm just kind of responding to some, I'm just rambling in response to your comments here.

Speaker A:

Okay, but sometimes I think we, we get pushed around emotionally and spiritually by things that happen to us and by the environment that we find ourselves in and by outward forces such as symptoms in the body.

Speaker A:

And when we get mature, when we mature in the Word of God, we get grounded and rooted in the word of God to the point where our heart becomes fully persuaded.

Speaker A:

If you weren't here last week, we talked about the process of persuading your heart and we, we showed the process that Abraham went through.

Speaker A:

You know, God told Abraham and Sarah that they were going to have a baby, be the father of many nations.

Speaker A:

And it took him like 20 plus years for that, for that word to come about.

Speaker A:

But part of that was they didn't even have the word of God.

Speaker A:

They had five words to stand on.

Speaker A:

So shall your seed be.

Speaker A:

They had five words.

Speaker A:

They didn't have the Holy Spirit, they didn't have what we have today.

Speaker A:

But nevertheless they hung onto that word and at the, over the process of time, their heart became fully persuaded.

Speaker A:

This is what says in Romans, chapter four.

Speaker A:

Their heart became fully persuaded and they were able to receive.

Speaker A:

And you know, now, you know, last week we were saying it doesn't have to take us that long because we have the Holy Spirit who can lead us into all truth.

Speaker A:

We have gifts, signs and wonders that follow the preaching of the Word that can turn something from a years and years and decades worth of suffering into healed in an instantaneous heartbeat.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

So we're in a, we're in a different time.

Speaker A:

But absolutely we need to root our faith upon the word of God and not upon our previous experiences, whether they were good or bad, because they will, they will lead us astray.

Speaker A:

So I'm going to encourage you if you're in this condition and you, and you've been, you've been in a condition for a long time.

Speaker A:

Stay with me today.

Speaker A:

I believe I'm going, it's going to be something for you.

Speaker A:

I believe that this is going to be encouraging to you and I believe the Word is going to work effectively in you.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

And also we do have prayer ministers on our phone lines that are happy to take your call as well.

Speaker A:

But I really want to, I want you to understand that we want to do this journey with you, right?

Speaker A:

Because I was sick for, chronically sick for decades of multiple life threatening conditions.

Speaker A:

And I'm free today from every single one of them.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

I don't have any of the conditions that the doctor, you know, that I took medication for, that I had treatment for.

Speaker A:

And so I just want you to say we are here, we are ready and we will, we will walk through this journey with you.

Speaker A:

But healing is absolutely free you today.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

So let me pray, Let me pray and then I'm going to get into the Word that I have today.

Speaker A:

So Father, thank you.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord, that you're, that you're here with us, that you're exactly meeting us in the place of need.

Speaker A:

Lord, I just ask that you open our ears to really hear what, what you are saying through your word today that Holy Spirit, you lead us into all truth and you help the words that we hear today from the scripture not just be words on the page, but help them make sense to us.

Speaker A:

Help them become revelation on the inside of us to where we can, and we can take a hold of them to where our heart could become fully persuaded in your will for our life.

Speaker A:

And, and we'll see that healing power manifest in our bodies and our minds today.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Okay, so let's start here.

Speaker A:

Now remember, we are many, many weeks into a course we did right now I think we're actually 12 weeks into this course on healing.

Speaker A:

So if you're jumping in today, I would encourage you to go back and get the notes from the previous lessons that are available.

Speaker A:

I'm using the class notes.

Speaker A:

You can get the same ones I've got and if you want to get them, you can get them on our Power Academy.

Speaker A:

Our team will put a link up there if you want to follow along.

Speaker A:

It's just a download and so it's a download of Power Academy and it's just going to ask for your email, that's all and you become a student and then you'll be able to go and find the healing module lessons and you can download them.

Speaker A:

Okay, and so I'm reading and today we're going to be teaching from healing module two and lesson number four, the ways Jesus healed.

Speaker A:

Okay, so you can follow up, you can follow on.

Speaker A:

But if you've got your, your Bible out today, head on over to Romans 12.

Speaker A:

Now Romans 12, verse 1 and 2, it says, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

This is what that's talking about and make yourself a living sacrifice.

Speaker A:

If you go into verse three, it says that God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.

Speaker A:

The measure of faith.

Speaker A:

Now what kind of measure do we have?

Speaker A:

What kind of measure of faith do we have?

Speaker A:

Well, we have the Jesus kind of measure is what we have.

Speaker A:

It says here, for I say through the grace given to me, that everyone who is among you, not to think himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly as God to dealt to each one the measure of faith.

Speaker A:

Now some translations say a measure of faith, but it's the same word.

Speaker A:

It's talking about a predetermined measure that is equal.

Speaker A:

It is the same.

Speaker A:

Everybody has the same measure of faith.

Speaker A:

Because if you have received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have the Jesus measure.

Speaker A:

If you, if you are made Jesus to be your Lord and Savior at some point in your life, you've received him into your heart, you now have Jesus the healer on the inside of you.

Speaker A:

Now think about that.

Speaker A:

When we invite, when we invite the Lord to be Lord of our life, he literally comes and indwells us.

Speaker A:

Now our little minds up here find that really hard to understand.

Speaker A:

How can another person come and live on the inside of us?

Speaker A:

Well, because we are, we are three parts.

Speaker A:

We are a spirit, soul and a body.

Speaker A:

Now where the Jesus part is, is our spirit.

Speaker A:

When we get born again, we become spiritually alive.

Speaker A:

We went through this before, but you know when we are, when we experience sickness, we don't experience sickness in our spirit.

Speaker A:

We experience sickness either in our soul, that is our mind, will and emotions, or in our physical flesh.

Speaker A:

So we can have mental illness and we can have physical illness.

Speaker A:

But guess what?

Speaker A:

Our spirit never gets sick.

Speaker A:

Our spirit is the God part of us.

Speaker A:

It never gets sick.

Speaker A:

We are sealed with the Holy Spirit.

Speaker A:

That's the part where Jesus the healer, the healing power of God lives on the inside of every born again believer.

Speaker A:

That's why you have the, the dead raising power on the inside of you.

Speaker A:

So for a born again to believer to say, I don't believe that there is healing power in the world today, I'm like, you're sadly mistaken.

Speaker A:

Because the healing power of God is living on the inside of you.

Speaker A:

You're the one carrying it.

Speaker A:

If you've received Jesus, the same power that raised Christ Jesus from the dead now lives on the inside of you in the person of Jesus Christ.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

The same power that brought Jesus up from the grave will also quicken your mortal body.

Speaker A:

Man.

Speaker A:

This is really important because now what we're doing is we're basing our faith not upon our experience, but upon the word of God.

Speaker A:

It's the same faith that raised Christ Jesus from the dead that quickens our mortal body.

Speaker A:

Now listen, I'm not going to, I'm not going to argue with people on here.

Speaker A:

If you want to be on here to learn something, then be quiet and listen.

Speaker A:

Now you can have your own opinion, but you need to be quiet in order for you to receive something.

Speaker A:

Okay, look at this.

Speaker A:

Open your heart and be open minded.

Speaker A:

And if you're, if you're open minded, the Holy Spirit can teach you something.

Speaker A:

Okay, now look at, look at this.

Speaker A:

This is in.

Speaker A:

Let's go on.

Speaker A:

So faith is how we receive the promises of God that grace has provided.

Speaker A:

That grace has provided.

Speaker A:

Hebrews 11, verse 1 and 2 gives us a definition of faith.

Speaker A:

Let's just look at this for a moment.

Speaker A:

Hebrews 11, verse 1 and 2.

Speaker A:

Let's go on here.

Speaker A:

Now it doesn't matter what scripture you read this, what translation, rather you read this scripture and they're all going to start with now faith.

Speaker A:

Now faith.

Speaker A:

Look at this.

Speaker A:

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Speaker A:

For by it, the men of old obtained a good report or a good testimony.

Speaker A:

And actually I'm going to go on and read the next verse because it's really good.

Speaker A:

It says, by faith we understand that the universe was framed by the word of God.

Speaker A:

The universe itself was literally constructed, framed, put together by the word of God, by the spoken word of God.

Speaker A:

You can read this in Genesis chapter one, so that things were that were not that, so that.

Speaker A:

Hang on, let me.

Speaker A:

This is a tongue twister.

Speaker A:

So that the things that are seen were not made out of things that are visible.

Speaker A:

Now this gives us just a real insight into how faith works, because faith needs to be spoken.

Speaker A:

Faith is how we receive the promises of God that grace has provided Jesus on through his death, burial and resurrection, provided everything.

Speaker A:

Healing was part of the atonement.

Speaker A:

We've talked about this in previous lessons.

Speaker A:

When Jesus died on the cross and rose again, he paid for you to be free from the power of sin and feet free from the power of sickness, from physical sickness.

Speaker A:

Not just spiritual sickness, but physical sickness.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

And there's, there's, there's loads and loads and loads of evidence in the word of God for that.

Speaker A:

And if you get back into the original text and the meanings of those words, it's not talking about spiritual sickness being healed.

Speaker A:

It's talking about, it's, it's directly and only directly relating to physical healing.

Speaker A:

It's really, really important.

Speaker A:

You know, over 28 times the word healing, there I am, I in wholeness is talking about physical healings in the New Testament alone, really, really powerful.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

But this, this, the way that we access what this grace for healing has provided for us is through this mechanism that God set up called faith.

Speaker A:

Now faith is simply, if you boil it down, is trust and confidence.

Speaker A:

The more trust and the more confidence that we have in God's word in what he said, then the more that we'll be able to access those promises of which healing is one of them and see the manifest in our physical body.

Speaker A:

The more that we focus on what Jesus has already done and what God says we already have, the more of that truth will be able to manifest in our physical body.

Speaker A:

The more that we move what's in our spirit by faith into our physical soul and our physical body.

Speaker A:

These two, the soul and the body, access what's in the spirit by faith.

Speaker A:

That, that's how that happens.

Speaker A:

We, we get into agreement in those three parts and healing starts to flow from our spirit into our soul and into our flesh, which is the two areas that we need in.

Speaker A:

Okay, so this, this passage that we just read here in Hebrews 11.

Speaker A:

Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Speaker A:

Man, you know, it doesn't talk about next week, next year kind of faith coming soon kind of faith.

Speaker A:

Maybe if you're really good kind of faith.

Speaker A:

No, it says now faith.

Speaker A:

Now trust and confidence gives you evidence.

Speaker A:

Now trust and confidence is faith.

Speaker A:

It takes something that you hope for, that you had an idea for, that maybe you saw on the inside, and it brings some substance to it.

Speaker A:

You know, hope's job is to give you an, an imagination to see something changing.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

That's what hope's job is.

Speaker A:

And if you, if you study that hope out, that is a confident expectation of good.

Speaker A:

It's the, it's linked to your imagination where you can see something before you see something.

Speaker A:

You see something in your imagination before you see something in the physical realm.

Speaker A:

And what faith does is faces that that picture has become so real to me, so evident to, to me, so clear to me that it must be my reality.

Speaker A:

And is that, that, you know, I kind of, I kind of liken it to being in a dark room.

Speaker A:

You know, when they, the process, when they used to develop old films, camera films in photography, they'd go into a dark room with a special dim red light and they would have a bot.

Speaker A:

They would have a dipping tray of solution and they'd take the film and they'd put that in the solution and it would put a picture on the, on the paper.

Speaker A:

And after a while they'd hang.

Speaker A:

They'd hang that up in the dark room.

Speaker A:

And as that picture hung in the dark, the picture, the imprint from the film to the paper to get clearer and clearer and clearer.

Speaker A:

And it's kind of like that with faith, you know, when the more that we press into the word of God, the more that we meditate on the word of God, the more that, that trust and that quality confidence starts to develop and the picture becomes clearer.

Speaker A:

And the same thing kind of happens in the realm of healing.

Speaker A:

Now, I want to show you something in Revelation.

Speaker A:

Let's go all the, all the way to the end here to Revelation, the book of Revelation.

Speaker A:

Now I like this scripture because I.

Speaker A:

It's just such a practical scripture and it really gives us a, just an, an impression of how this works out in Revelations 12, 11 revelations.

Speaker A:

The end of the book, it says, and they overcame him.

Speaker A:

That's talking about the devil.

Speaker A:

Remember, we've talked about this previously, but it is the enemy, the devil, Satan, who is the author of all sickness and Disease, you know, God did not create babies to be born with defects.

Speaker A:

God did not create babies to have the wrong kind of chromosomes or too many or too less.

Speaker A:

He didn't create defective genes so that somehow he could get some weird kind of glory from it.

Speaker A:

That is man and religion's twisted perception.

Speaker A:

God created things in perfection.

Speaker A:

He created babies to be perfect.

Speaker A:

But we live in a fallen world.

Speaker A:

Remember, he created Adam and Eve in the, in the, in the garden and he created them perfectly.

Speaker A:

There was no sickness, there was no disease, there was no germs.

Speaker A:

There was nothing that was going to hurt anyone.

Speaker A:

There was no need to be afraid of anything.

Speaker A:

In the garden, they adamant evil raised imperfection.

Speaker A:

But along came the lie the enemy that told them, oh, you're missing something, you're missing something.

Speaker A:

There must be something that you're missing, right?

Speaker A:

And the serpent lied to Eve and said, if you eat of this apple, you're going to be like God.

Speaker A:

You're going to be like God.

Speaker A:

Your eyes will be opened and you'll be just like him, but like you're not good enough as you are.

Speaker A:

But if you want to be just really like God, then you need, you know, you need to eat this apple and have this knowledge that I want to give you.

Speaker A:

You know, they weren't lacking anything, but they were made to believe that they were missing something.

Speaker A:

They were made to believe that they were defective in some way.

Speaker A:

They were never defective.

Speaker A:

God didn't create any duds yet, any defects yet.

Speaker A:

But the enemy comes to tell you there's something wrong, you're defective in some way.

Speaker A:

You're missing something.

Speaker A:

And if you just do this, you're going to be like God.

Speaker A:

When the whole thing truth all along was they were already like God.

Speaker A:

They were made in his very image.

Speaker A:

You know, the scripture says, let's make man in our image to be like us, like us here they were already like God.

Speaker A:

They weren't missing out on anything.

Speaker A:

And when they fell for that lie, defects and sickness and pain and discomfort and fear.

Speaker A:

And all of the plans of the enemy, including sickness, entered the world.

Speaker A:

That wasn't God.

Speaker A:

God did not create sickness.

Speaker A:

God did not create defective genes or hereditary conditions.

Speaker A:

He didn't create, he didn't create us to live like that.

Speaker A:

And you know, if you look at, at Jesus's ministry, his whole ministry was going putting right what the enemy made wrong.

Speaker A:

His whole time on earth, Jesus walking around was setting, he was destroying the works of the enemy.

Speaker A:

It's one of the reasons Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy.

Speaker A:

And so he was another reason we know that healing is for us, but the Scriptures is, they overcame him, that's the enemy, by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony.

Speaker A:

And they did not love their lives unto the death, so they overcame him by the, by the blood of the lamb, by what Jesus did for them and the word of their testimony, what they are prepared to say about what Jesus did for them.

Speaker A:

Man, that's a powerful, powerful truth right there.

Speaker A:

So, you know, when it comes to, when it comes to healing, faith is the key ingredient.

Speaker A:

There is a key ingredient.

Speaker A:

What are we prepared to say about what Jesus has already done for us?

Speaker A:

And if we don't know what Jesus has already done for us, it's going to be really difficult for us to say the right thing.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

If we don't know that Jesus on the cross paid for sickness at the same time he paid for sin.

Speaker A:

If we don't know that healing is available for us because of, because of Jesus resurrection and sacrifice, then we won't be saying the right things about what he's done for us.

Speaker A:

We'll have a, we'll have a.

Speaker A:

Bits and pieces, but we won't have a complete picture.

Speaker A:

And the reason that this is so important is because faith is how we access the promises of God and faith is spoken.

Speaker A:

So we need to know what we have and we need to say what we have.

Speaker A:

And if we don't know what we have, we can't say what we have.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Really, really important.

Speaker A:

And faith was the key ingredient in Jesus healing ministry.

Speaker A:

It was always present somewhere.

Speaker A:

And you say, well, what about the example where the man was dead and the widow at nine and everything else, you know, the fact that she stopped and listened to Jesus and did what he said was an evidence to show that woman was in faith expecting to believe Jesus to do something.

Speaker A:

And if no one else had faith, Jesus had faith.

Speaker A:

He knew that man was coming back.

Speaker A:

There was always faith present in every miracle that Jesus was involved in every miracle that we see.

Speaker A:

See, what we believe about what Jesus has done will determine what we say about what Jesus has done for us.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

What we believe is really important.

Speaker A:

Look at this.

Speaker A:

In Matthew 9, verse 29 to 20, 28 to 29, it says, and when he had come into the house, the blind men said to him, and Jesus said to them, do you believe that I'm able to do this?

Speaker A:

Now, this is really important.

Speaker A:

We just had a couple of comments on here of people saying, I don't believe that Jesus heals today.

Speaker A:

If you don't believe that Jesus is, if healing is available today, or if you don't believe in Jesus at all, you're going to find it difficult, right?

Speaker A:

You're going to find this difficult because receiving from God has a.

Speaker A:

Has a large part to play is what we believe in our hearts now.

Speaker A:

You know, sometimes we can go out on the streets and we can find people that, you know, aren't born again and they don't know anything.

Speaker A:

You know, they've never been told, they've never heard the gospel before, and they have an ache or a pain or something in their body, and a believer can come around them and say, you know, I believe when I lay hands on you that Jesus is going to heal you.

Speaker A:

Do you, do you.

Speaker A:

You know, are you in agreement with that?

Speaker A:

And they'll be like, I know, whatever, whatever you say, I'm.

Speaker A:

I'm open to it, man.

Speaker A:

They might just be neutral, you know, they don't know what they believe, but they, they can see the confidence in you.

Speaker A:

And, you know, your boldness and your confidence, your faith, your trust in what Jesus has already done is enough to, to move them into a place of receiving.

Speaker A:

But, you know, there are other people that they already received Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

Speaker A:

They've already heard enough to kind of misunderstand, and they've taken a stronghold in their heart, maybe through disappointment, maybe hope deferred has made the heart sick.

Speaker A:

Maybe just years of living with a physical condition has gotten them down.

Speaker A:

Maybe they got disappointed too many times and just that frustration has overcome them.

Speaker A:

But in their heart they have that stronghold that says, I don't believe.

Speaker A:

I don't believe.

Speaker A:

You can pray for me if you want, but you know what?

Speaker A:

It hasn't happened before.

Speaker A:

You know, I've had other people pray for me before and nothing's happened.

Speaker A:

Why would anything be different now?

Speaker A:

You've created a stronghold of unbelief in your heart that now it's like, it's almost a stronghold.

Speaker A:

It becomes like a prison.

Speaker A:

You've imprisoned yourself in the way that you believe, and it literally builds up a wall like a fortress, and it stops you.

Speaker A:

It puts a barrier between you and the promises of God.

Speaker A:

That's the problem, right?

Speaker A:

But when we open our heart and think, Hang in a minute.

Speaker A:

What do I believe?

Speaker A:

Let me sit me really think about what I believe and why I believe what I believe, because I said this at the beginning, that if we let our faith be determined by the word of God and not by our experiences, which are you know, maybe good, maybe bad, maybe subject to change.

Speaker A:

Our faith will be more effective based upon the word of God to access the promises of God than if they are in some kind of random experience.

Speaker A:

You know, we had to get to this point with, with our daughter.

Speaker A:

You know, our daughter was three years old, sent home from the hospital to die with just a few days to live.

Speaker A:

But we kept reading in the word of God that God is a healing God, that God's not holding back from her, that the promises of God are in him, are yes and amen.

Speaker A:

And the more we meditated on those promises, the more excited we got that it's just a matter of time.

Speaker A:

Hannah has to be healed.

Speaker A:

God's plan for her is not to die, but for her to live and declare the goodness of God in the land of the living.

Speaker A:

The more that we started to stir ourselves up, we were putting faith and trust and confidence, we were setting our belief system upon the word of God for Hannah rather than upon her dying little three year old body.

Speaker A:

And when we did that, something miraculous happened.

Speaker A:

Something miraculous happened.

Speaker A:

We finally were able to pray a prayer of faith.

Speaker A:

One that wasn't based upon, you know, previous disappointments, but was based upon the word of God with confidence and see her well.

Speaker A:

And today, you know, that's 20 years ago, she's 23 today.

Speaker A:

She got married, she got two beautiful babies.

Speaker A:

I'm like this, this happened because we put faith more in the promises of God than we did put faith in our previous experiences.

Speaker A:

So when Jesus said, do you believe that I'm able to do this?

Speaker A:

He was asking these guys a question and they said to him, yes Lord.

Speaker A:

And he touched their eyes saying, according to your faith, look at this.

Speaker A:

According to your faith, let it be unto you.

Speaker A:

In other words, Jesus was saying to these blind men in the way that you have believed.

Speaker A:

In fact, in the wist transition it says translations is in the manner in which you have believed, let it be done unto you.

Speaker A:

The way that you believe you will receive sets the precedent for the for how you will receive.

Speaker A:

You see, if you believe that when we pray for you, you're going to get a little bit better every day, guess what?

Speaker A:

That's what you give God to work with.

Speaker A:

You can get a little bit better every day.

Speaker A:

But if you determine when we pray for you that that power is instantly going to go on the inside of you and it's going to eradicate sickness and disease and cancer cells.

Speaker A:

And you know, you can you put your faith in that, that's exactly what you Give God to work with.

Speaker A:

And that's exactly what you can receive.

Speaker A:

You know, the Lord just wants you.

Speaker A:

Well, he's not holding back on you, trying to catch you out.

Speaker A:

This isn't a trick.

Speaker A:

He has healing for you.

Speaker A:

But the way you receive, you know, you.

Speaker A:

I think if you believe instantly, it's like putting a big funnel, right?

Speaker A:

It's easy to catch a lot of raindrops with a big funnel.

Speaker A:

But if you say, I'm just going to believe, I'll get a little bit better every day.

Speaker A:

It's like getting an old mug out and putting it out in the rain.

Speaker A:

Guess what?

Speaker A:

You're still going to catch raindrops.

Speaker A:

It's just going to be less of them.

Speaker A:

It's going to take longer to fill up your cup than if you had a big funnel that went into your cup, right?

Speaker A:

We need to believe.

Speaker A:

We need to set our belief system based upon the word of God rather than upon our experience.

Speaker A:

So faith and belief go hand in hand, and they're actually the same root word.

Speaker A:

Belief is the primary form of faith.

Speaker A:

It's just believing that something is possible, but it develops until faith gets to a point where it's confident.

Speaker A:

You know, like we said in Hebrews 11, verse 1, the Bible definition of faith is now faith is not next week.

Speaker A:

Faith is.

Speaker A:

But I expect something to happen right now.

Speaker A:

Now faith is, and it's.

Speaker A:

You know it.

Speaker A:

There's evidence associated with that.

Speaker A:

So unsaved people can receive healing because you.

Speaker A:

And you pray for them.

Speaker A:

You're the carrier of faith.

Speaker A:

You carry the faith you have like precious.

Speaker A:

Faith is what it says in the.

Speaker A:

In the Scriptures, you had the same faith as Jesus.

Speaker A:

You have dead raising faith on the inside of you.

Speaker A:

So when you come against sickness and disease in other people and pray for them, even if they're not believers, you can still see them healed because you're carrying faith.

Speaker A:

They might not be fully persuaded in their heart, but as long as they're not resistant, you can move them into a place to receive.

Speaker A:

So ask yourself a question today.

Speaker A:

Is God big enough on the inside of me, in my heart, in my experience of him?

Speaker A:

Or is it in my reality?

Speaker A:

Okay, this is, this is important.

Speaker A:

Is God bigger on the inside of me than my experience?

Speaker A:

Is God on the inside of me bigger than what I can see with my eyes?

Speaker A:

Is he bigger than the doctor's opinion?

Speaker A:

Is he bigger than the PET scan report?

Speaker A:

Is he bigger than a symptom I can feel in my body right now?

Speaker A:

Is he bigger than other people's opinions the doctor's prognosis, is he bigger than that?

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

This is, this is really important, really, really important.

Speaker A:

You know, we're unable to receive something that we're, that we refuse to believe.

Speaker A:

We're not going to be able to.

Speaker A:

And these are the words of Jesus.

Speaker A:

Now you can, you can fight me on this, but this is what Jesus says.

Speaker A:

He says to them, according to your faith, let it be unto you.

Speaker A:

According to your faith, let this blindness go according to your faith.

Speaker A:

So what you believe directly impacts what you receive or what you keep.

Speaker A:

If you want us, if you want to keep a sickness, you can keep a sickness.

Speaker A:

Takes no faith whatsoever to keep a sickness.

Speaker A:

But in order to get that, that for that sickness to go, there needs to be, there needs to be an exercise of faith.

Speaker A:

Somewhere along the lines, right?

Speaker A:

Somewhere along the lines.

Speaker A:

And if we, it start, I think this starts, you know, faith.

Speaker A:

We talked about this last week.

Speaker A:

We don't have a lack of faith.

Speaker A:

We have the measure of faith.

Speaker A:

We have enough faith to move mountains.

Speaker A:

A mustard seed of faith will move a mountain, right?

Speaker A:

But we need to begin meditating on what we do have so that our faith becomes effective and it becomes bigger on that Jesus becomes bigger on the inside of us than what we don't have.

Speaker A:

Really, really important, right?

Speaker A:

Really important.

Speaker A:

So look, I'm going to ask you a question and this, this really comes down to can you be honest with where you're at right now?

Speaker A:

So we got a lot of people on the comments now that are kind of being a little bit distracting.

Speaker A:

And I don't mind people having chats in the comments.

Speaker A:

But I'm going to say this.

Speaker A:

If you really want to change, if you really want to see breakthrough, if you're on this chat because you want to see breakthrough, then just be quiet and listen.

Speaker A:

Because if you want to, if you want to experience something different from what you're experiencing right now, it's going to take you humbling yourself and listening.

Speaker A:

Now if you just want to argue and you don't want to change, fine, go off on someone else's feed because there are people on here that do want to listen and do want to change and do want to progress and do want to see a breakthrough.

Speaker A:

But if you're on here to just talk all of your unbelief and all the reasons why it won't work, this probably isn't the place for you.

Speaker A:

Now you can feel those things.

Speaker A:

We all go through those things.

Speaker A:

We all have doubt, we all have unbelief.

Speaker A:

But that is not the path to breakthrough.

Speaker A:

That is not the path to breakthrough.

Speaker A:

So today we're looking at what do we believe?

Speaker A:

Let's start right there.

Speaker A:

And part of this starts with being really honest with your heart.

Speaker A:

What do you believe?

Speaker A:

What can you believe for right now?

Speaker A:

What can you believe for right now?

Speaker A:

Where are you at?

Speaker A:

Where is your heart at?

Speaker A:

If the words of Jesus say, according to your faith, let it be unto you.

Speaker A:

What can you believe for right now?

Speaker A:

And it might not be the most deadly thing that you have going on in your life right now.

Speaker A:

It might not be the biggest thing that's going on.

Speaker A:

It might be, you know what I think I could believe for my ulcer to heal up.

Speaker A:

I think I could believe my ingrowing toenail to get better.

Speaker A:

I think I can believe for, you know, the back pain to leave or my blood pressure to go down.

Speaker A:

It might not be.

Speaker A:

I can believe for my limb to grow out, right?

Speaker A:

It might not be that I can believe for, you know, missing things in my body to grow back again.

Speaker A:

Maybe I'm not there yet.

Speaker A:

Now, I'm not going to limit God.

Speaker A:

I know that God can, you know, God is.

Speaker A:

He's the God of the impossible.

Speaker A:

You know what I think it takes a lot of audacity in people, honestly, to limit God.

Speaker A:

Because when we limit God in the way that we believe, we're making ourselves God, we're saying what I think is more important than what your word think, what your word says, right?

Speaker A:

And that's.

Speaker A:

I mean, that's really a stance of pride, Honestly, that's really a stance of pride.

Speaker A:

And so, you know, to receive from the Lord takes us to come humbly to the throne of grace in our hour of need, that we're going to find help.

Speaker A:

So if.

Speaker A:

If you need help in your life, sometimes you've got to humble ourselves.

Speaker A:

Humble ourselves, right?

Speaker A:

Find out what we can believe for right now.

Speaker A:

And if we can't believe for instantaneous healing, maybe we can believe to get a bit better every day.

Speaker A:

How about that?

Speaker A:

God will work with whatever measure of faith we extend to Him.

Speaker A:

He just wants you.

Speaker A:

Well, he loves you that much.

Speaker A:

He just wants to.

Speaker A:

He just wants you to be whole.

Speaker A:

He just wants you to be free from the bondage, free from the pain, free from the sickness.

Speaker A:

And if you believe you're going to get better every.

Speaker A:

A little bit more every day.

Speaker A:

And that's the faith that you extend towards him.

Speaker A:

That's the faith that he'll work with.

Speaker A:

He's not asking you to be somewhere that you're not right, but just start in the place of being honest with yourself.

Speaker A:

You know, in, in Jesus's ministry, he was not the one that decided how people were going to receive or how much healing would happen.

Speaker A:

You know, and that's why you ask the questions according to your faith, according to how you see this playing out.

Speaker A:

Then, you know, that's, that's what, that's what will happen, you know, with.

Speaker A:

He.

Speaker A:

And he ministers differently according.

Speaker A:

He met people in a place of faith to Jairus.

Speaker A:

He agreed to go to his, you know, his daughter's bedside and lay hands on his daughter that you.

Speaker A:

That she might live because that's the way that Jairus thought it was going to play out to the centurion.

Speaker A:

You know, Jesus didn't even have to go to his house to heal his servant because the centurion's faith was, you know, I believe that if you just say the word, Jesus, if you just say the word, then that.

Speaker A:

Then my servant will be healed this very same hour.

Speaker A:

See that those are just two instances alone where Jesus didn't set the terms of engagement right.

Speaker A:

He didn't.

Speaker A:

What about the woman with the issue of blood?

Speaker A:

You know, Jesus was completely passive.

Speaker A:

He didn't decide how she was going to get healed.

Speaker A:

No, no, she was the one in her heart is what she believed in her heart.

Speaker A:

She believed in her heart.

Speaker A:

So she showed up and she said, she said that faith was spoken out of her mouth.

Speaker A:

And she said, if I'm going to touch the hem of his garment, I'm going to be made whole.

Speaker A:

She.

Speaker A:

She received healing according to how she believed that it was going to manifest.

Speaker A:

Man, that's.

Speaker A:

That's enough.

Speaker A:

Those, those three examples, enough are alone for me to make sure that I'm looking at my own heart.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

What do I really believe about that?

Speaker A:

Because how do you really know what you believe?

Speaker A:

You know, what you're.

Speaker A:

You're ready to believe when you know what you're ready to act upon when you know, when you believe something is the point on which you're willing to act upon it.

Speaker A:

Because I could say to you, you know what?

Speaker A:

There's a million dollars buried in your front yard.

Speaker A:

And you say, carly, I don't believe you.

Speaker A:

I don't believe you because you don't have a million dollars because you don't even have a front yard.

Speaker A:

And I don't have a. I don't have a pitchfork to get it out.

Speaker A:

I mean, you could come up with a number of reasons.

Speaker A:

I don't believe you mean it when you say that there is a million dollars buried in the yard outside my house.

Speaker A:

I just don't believe it.

Speaker A:

But, you know, there might be a part of your heart that says, am I willing to take that chance?

Speaker A:

And then there might be other people that say, I'm not sure.

Speaker A:

Maybe I'm on the fence.

Speaker A:

Maybe just to satisfy my curiosity, I'm gonna go and, you know, dig around to the flower beds out there and see what shows up.

Speaker A:

Or maybe, just maybe, you're gonna get some people that'll be like, you know, I trust what Carly says.

Speaker A:

I don't think she would lie.

Speaker A:

I've looked on a track record before, and I know it looks like it's impossible, but I'm just going to have to go check.

Speaker A:

I'm going to go get a shovel and I'm going to go.

Speaker A:

I'm going to go dig up the lawn, and maybe I might just need to get a wheelbarrow, and I might get some friends to help, or maybe I'll get some mechanical equipment, and I'm going to dig up that.

Speaker A:

That front yard because I really do believe that there is a million dollars buried in the front yard.

Speaker A:

So you'll get people.

Speaker A:

Now, that's a stupid example.

Speaker A:

Okay?

Speaker A:

But my point being is when people hear the Word, when people hear the gospel, they respond to that gospel at different points.

Speaker A:

They respond to it in different measures.

Speaker A:

Remember, we had the measure of faith.

Speaker A:

But people respond and they'll.

Speaker A:

They'll put out a different measure of faith depending on how much trust and how much confidence they have in the gospel that they heard.

Speaker A:

Some people are so convinced, they're immediately moved to action because they heard it that one time.

Speaker A:

They heard it that one time.

Speaker A:

They, you know, they considered the source and they.

Speaker A:

They were really willing to act on it.

Speaker A:

You could say those people had centurion, like faith.

Speaker A:

They had just say the word faith.

Speaker A:

But then you, you know, you might get the people that are, you know, like a bit more like jar, Jar.

Speaker A:

If you come to my house, Carly, I tell you what, if you come and help me dig up in my yard, then I know if you're prepared to help me and touch the soil yourself, I know that it must be true.

Speaker A:

They might be gyrus, like believers, right?

Speaker A:

They have that.

Speaker A:

That kind of measure.

Speaker A:

Or then you got the woman of the issue of blood, and maybe, you know, she.

Speaker A:

She's like, she.

Speaker A:

She heard the word that there's a million dollars in the front in, buried in the yard, and she's like, I'm going to show up.

Speaker A:

I'm going to listen to this and I'm going to say, yeah, you know what?

Speaker A:

I also have a million dollars in my eye.

Speaker A:

I'm going to go get that.

Speaker A:

I'm going to go touch that earth, and I'm going to see that, right?

Speaker A:

And then she just put her hand on the lawn.

Speaker A:

She didn't even dig anything.

Speaker A:

She just put her hand on the lawn, and all of a sudden that million dollars came out of the ground, right?

Speaker A:

People.

Speaker A:

People receive.

Speaker A:

It's the same word.

Speaker A:

It's the same word spoken.

Speaker A:

That healing belongs to you, that there's this amazing gift that has been set aside for you.

Speaker A:

But people respond to it in different ways and in different measures.

Speaker A:

And that's why people receive differently.

Speaker A:

Some people get healed instantaneously.

Speaker A:

Some people.

Speaker A:

Some people get healed a little bit more gradually, a little bit more better every day.

Speaker A:

The end of the day is God just wants you well.

Speaker A:

He just wants you well.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

But we can determine how much of God's power we start to see in our life.

Speaker A:

Some of us have been believing for less than God's best for so long, and yet he wants us to be free from sickness and disease and live a life that's full of power and life and prosperity.

Speaker A:

But we got to change our measure of expectation so that it's higher than the circumstances.

Speaker A:

We got to raise our level of expectation if we want to.

Speaker A:

If we want to receive, if we want to see more of the power of God in our life, we've got to raise our expectation level a few notches, right?

Speaker A:

Dial it up a little bit.

Speaker A:

How about this?

Speaker A:

How about start by confessing?

Speaker A:

I'm a good receiver.

Speaker A:

I'm a good receiver.

Speaker A:

I believe and I receive.

Speaker A:

You can change your confession.

Speaker A:

Remember, your faith needs to be spoken.

Speaker A:

You could say something like this.

Speaker A:

When I reach out to Jesus, I receive.

Speaker A:

I believe.

Speaker A:

I believe.

Speaker A:

I receive every good and perfect promise that he has for my body.

Speaker A:

Man, you can start changing the things that come out of your mouth, so receive it.

Speaker A:

So every way that Jesus heals, there's faith is always present.

Speaker A:

Faith is always present.

Speaker A:

The next thing is, you know, we are going to receive what we are believing for.

Speaker A:

Some people believe that if God says it in his Word, that's going to be enough.

Speaker A:

Other people believe that if somebody comes and lays hands on them and touches them, then that's going to be enough.

Speaker A:

You know, we see people when we go to events, especially, we have people lay hands on each other because believers lay hands on the sick and they shall recover according to the word of God.

Speaker A:

Some people believe that they need a physical contact, they need to be touched.

Speaker A:

You know, many of the incidences with the lepers that came to Jesus, you know, Jesus touched the lepers.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because they're in their belief system that no one could touch them.

Speaker A:

They needed to be touched to know that it was real.

Speaker A:

So laying on the hands and touching people is one of the ways that Jesus healed people through physical touch or through speaking the Word.

Speaker A:

These are just a couple of the ways.

Speaker A:

Now there's some, there's some unusual ways as well that Jesus healed people.

Speaker A:

And Jesus says that we can.

Speaker A:

And you'll see this in the Acts of the Apostles, but through cloths.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

This is a bit more unusual, but sometimes people ask us to, and this comes from, from Acts.

Speaker A:

But you can lay your hands on touch cloth, some prayer cloths and handkerchiefs, and then they're sent out and they're laid on people and people receive.

Speaker A:

Now, I don't honestly understand how that works, but I know it's in the Word of God and there's a precedent for it.

Speaker A:

And if I know it's in, in the Word of God, then I know that I can have it.

Speaker A:

You know, this is a.

Speaker A:

Where is it?

Speaker A:

It's on the shoulder.

Speaker A:

This is our healing confession blanket.

Speaker A:

We have a white one that is identity scriptures.

Speaker A:

This one's all the healing scriptures.

Speaker A:

All of these get prayed out before they get sent out.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And so when.

Speaker A:

And we get testaments of people that have received a blanket or a, or handkerchief from somebody that's been pray for and they receive healing.

Speaker A:

I mean, we just believe the word of God.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Now, one of the biggest things.

Speaker A:

Well, let's just look at this.

Speaker A:

I do want to read this scripture.

Speaker A:

This is in Matthew 8, 7, 13.

Speaker A:

The Centurion, as we were talking about the centurions, is the centurion told Jesus he didn't need to come to heal the servant.

Speaker A:

Look at what happened.

Speaker A:

He says Jesus told him, go your way and as you have believed, so let it be done for you in the manner in which that man believed it was done for him.

Speaker A:

He set the precedent there.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

If we don't like what we're receiving, we can change the way that we are believing.

Speaker A:

Okay, so how do we change the way that we're believing?

Speaker A:

Well, I want to show you something here.

Speaker A:

And this is really important because we can, we can alter our belief system to line up with the word of God.

Speaker A:

We can actually alter if we've got a belief system that is based on something other than the word of God.

Speaker A:

It's going to be very difficult for us to receive Word of God results.

Speaker A:

It's kind of like the difference between a Mac operating system and a PC operating system.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

We need to be on the same circuitry in order for the, for the, the connectivity to flow so we can change the way that we're thinking.

Speaker A:

There was a man that had to do this.

Speaker A:

You can see this in the scriptures.

Speaker A:

I'm going to go on over here to John, chapter five.

Speaker A:

John, chapter five.

Speaker A:

This is the man at the pool of Bethesda.

Speaker A:

Look at this.

Speaker A:

This is an example of how changing our thinking enables us to get in line with what Jesus is doing.

Speaker A:

So it says, after there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

Speaker A:

Now in Jerusalem, by the sheep gate, is a pool which in Hebrews is called Bethesda, having porches.

Speaker A:

And in these lay a great crowd of invalids, blind, the lame, and the paralyzed.

Speaker A:

Now, this is important because this is an area where people would have had chronic conditions, serious conditions.

Speaker A:

Many of them would have been birth defects.

Speaker A:

They've been there their whole life.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

And this is one of the arguments that people have.

Speaker A:

Have you seen anybody that was deaf from birth or blind from birth or paralyzed from birth ever recover?

Speaker A:

Yes, we have.

Speaker A:

And we have tests in these for those things.

Speaker A:

Okay, these, you could say that these are the ultimate litmus test for a lot of people as to whether they believe that the healing power of God is even present in the earth today.

Speaker A:

Yes, we've seen impossible, impossible, naturally impossible things healed.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

So they were the blind, the lane, the paralyzed wave waiting for the moving of the water.

Speaker A:

For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and said, stirred up the water.

Speaker A:

And after the stirring of the water, whoever stepped in first was healed of whatever disease he had.

Speaker A:

A certain man who was there had an illness for 38 years.

Speaker A:

And when Jesus saw him lying there, he knew that he'd been in that condition now for a long time.

Speaker A:

And he said to him, do you want to be healed?

Speaker A:

Oh, this is a really big thing.

Speaker A:

Not everyone that's on here today probably wants to be healed.

Speaker A:

Some people just want to.

Speaker A:

They're not sure what they want.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Not everyone that you minister to might want to be healed.

Speaker A:

Why?

Speaker A:

Because their life is going to change significantly if they are.

Speaker A:

And their heart hasn't kind of come to grips with that yet.

Speaker A:

When we receive a radical healing in our life, it changes everything about the way that we Live our life.

Speaker A:

And when our heart needs to be ready for this, our heart needs to be ready for this.

Speaker A:

Okay, look at this.

Speaker A:

So it says here, a certain man who was there for 38 years, 38 years is a really long time to have a condition.

Speaker A:

Really long time to have a condition.

Speaker A:

When Jesus saw him lying there and he knew that he'd been in that condition a long time.

Speaker A:

And that is why you asked him the question, do you want to be healed?

Speaker A:

Because you know, if you go from 38 years of every day, people having to come and serve you and give you things and take care of your needs and you know, and to suddenly being healed, you're not going to have any of those people around you.

Speaker A:

You're going to have your self sufficient now.

Speaker A:

You're going to have to stand on your own two feet.

Speaker A:

You're going to have to change, right?

Speaker A:

You, you can't use this as a, as a crutch anymore, as an excuse anymore.

Speaker A:

You know, you're going to go from being the one line by the pool to the one getting up and going to work, right?

Speaker A:

So there is a mindset that needs to happen here.

Speaker A:

The sick man answered him saying, sir, I have no one to put me in the pool when the water is stirred, but while I'm coming down, another steps in before me.

Speaker A:

Now if we read this, this phrase back up a minute to verse four.

Speaker A:

It says, after the stirring of the water, whoever stepped in first was healed of whatever disease he had.

Speaker A:

You know, in the W translation it says whatever a disease had gotten possession of him and was holding him down.

Speaker A:

And this is what long term chronic sickness or birth related sickness will do for people.

Speaker A:

It gets from their body and gets into their mind.

Speaker A:

They're not just sick in their physical body, they're sick in the way that they think.

Speaker A:

Because as a man, as the scripture says, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

Speaker A:

As a man begins, as a man perceives him, he becomes who he perceives himself to be.

Speaker A:

So if your whole life you've been sick and you can't imagine life being any different, without a change of thinking, it's going to be very hard for you to break free from that sickness that is literally trying to hold you down as a possession.

Speaker A:

You see what sickness does.

Speaker A:

The audacity of it is it makes itself out like it's bigger than anything else in your life.

Speaker A:

It's more important than anything else in your life and it owns you.

Speaker A:

Can you imagine a sickness trying to say to you, I own you I'm.

Speaker A:

You are my possession, man.

Speaker A:

There's something on the inside of me that just goes off, like, to hell you do, right?

Speaker A:

Like, seriously, no way am I listening to that demon.

Speaker A:

You can go straight back to the pit of hell where you came from.

Speaker A:

I'm not having that.

Speaker A:

But, you know, we might not say that out loud, but we get passive sometimes.

Speaker A:

The longer that we've been suffering with something, the more passive and weighed down under that.

Speaker A:

That heaviness of it.

Speaker A:

We become accustomed to it.

Speaker A:

And so we could easily find ourselves, after 38 years of suffering or something, find ourselves kind of used to being sat by the pool, right?

Speaker A:

I mean, he'd got himself just used to that.

Speaker A:

That's all he'd ever known.

Speaker A:

And so the sick man asked him, and you can see actually quite telling his response.

Speaker A:

You know, Jesus, the Messiah, the healer is standing in front of this man.

Speaker A:

This isn't Jesus first miracle, right?

Speaker A:

And so word would have gotten around.

Speaker A:

In fact, the fact that they're looking for an angel to come down and stir up the pool.

Speaker A:

You know, angels come from.

Speaker A:

From the Lord, right?

Speaker A:

So, you know, whatever phenomenon was going on here, they.

Speaker A:

This man was spiritually aware enough to know that there's an angel that comes down and stirs the pool, but he wasn't aware enough to realize who it was that he was having a conversation with.

Speaker A:

His sickness had so got into his mind that even when the very healer, his very answer was standing in front of him face to face, he initially didn't even recognize what he said.

Speaker A:

In fact, all he says was, oh, you know, everyone gets in there before me.

Speaker A:

You know, I need some help.

Speaker A:

I need some help.

Speaker A:

He was defaulting to his normal behavior.

Speaker A:

I need help.

Speaker A:

I need someone to come help me.

Speaker A:

I need.

Speaker A:

You know, it's not fair.

Speaker A:

Someone else always gets in before me, right?

Speaker A:

He was defaulting to his previous experience rather than recognizing, this is a new day, this is a new opportunity.

Speaker A:

This is Jesus the healer standing in front of you giving you an invitation to come up higher, to come up higher, to change your thinking, to change your perspective, to elevate your The.

Speaker A:

The.

Speaker A:

The healing of above the sickness, the answer, Jesus, above the problem, right?

Speaker A:

It's an opportunity to lift up your head and say, God is doing something.

Speaker A:

This is not like yesterday.

Speaker A:

This is not like the day before.

Speaker A:

This is not like the previous 37 years, 35 years, 34 years.

Speaker A:

No, no, this.

Speaker A:

This is something different.

Speaker A:

Jesus had to get this man's attention.

Speaker A:

He had to snap him out of that old way of thinking.

Speaker A:

And he does this by saying, Jesus said to him, rise, take up your bed and walk.

Speaker A:

Now, don't you think it's very interesting that Jesus would say something, give an instruction to a man to do something that he couldn't do?

Speaker A:

Don't you think that's kind of mean?

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Well, here's the thing.

Speaker A:

Jesus will never ask us to do something we couldn't do, because the minute that Jesus gave the instruction to do something, the man had the ability to do it.

Speaker A:

That'll preach.

Speaker A:

The minute that Jesus gave the instruction for that man to do something was the very minute that that man then had the power to do it.

Speaker A:

You see, in every word from God is all of the power that we will ever need to perform it.

Speaker A:

All of the power that's contained in those words, rise, take up your bed, and walk is all of the power that man would ever need to do exactly what Jesus told him to do.

Speaker A:

He says, immediately the man was healed.

Speaker A:

He took up his bed and walked.

Speaker A:

So in order for that man to get from.

Speaker A:

Oh, hang on.

Speaker A:

But it's not fair.

Speaker A:

You know, I'm waiting for the angel to come down and, you know, somebody always gets in there before me.

Speaker A:

And Right.

Speaker A:

The minute he went from his pity party to hearing that instruction wasn't a very long period of time.

Speaker A:

But there was something about those words that Jesus spoke to him that contained such power and authority that that man even attempted to do something that previously he couldn't do.

Speaker A:

He got an instruction to do something he couldn't do before, and he immediately went to attempt it.

Speaker A:

Now, that is an indication there that that man's thinking had changed.

Speaker A:

This word, rise, take up your bed and walk.

Speaker A:

Rise.

Speaker A:

The way in which this is written, the tense in which this was written, it is a continuous tense.

Speaker A:

What he was saying to this man was, get up, start walking, continue walking, don't stop walking.

Speaker A:

And it was a commandment.

Speaker A:

This wasn't like, oh, please, if you want to be better, you might want to take my suggestion.

Speaker A:

No, he was telling this man what to do was with authority.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

A commandment in it.

Speaker A:

It was.

Speaker A:

It.

Speaker A:

It was.

Speaker A:

It was some.

Speaker A:

It was a commandment.

Speaker A:

The tense is a commandment that requires full obedience.

Speaker A:

So this wasn't going to work if this man just says, I'm just going to try and roll over.

Speaker A:

No, no, he.

Speaker A:

You have to try and follow the instruction.

Speaker A:

So this man got up, found out and in the trying that actually he could get up, he could take up his bed, and he started walking.

Speaker A:

Now, all of the people around him.

Speaker A:

These are the Jews, these are the Pharisees.

Speaker A:

It was a Sabbath day, right?

Speaker A:

And they were more upset that this man had been healed on the Sabbath because they wanted to control people than they were for anything else, right?

Speaker A:

So they made them an excuse.

Speaker A:

It's a Sabbath day.

Speaker A:

It's not lawful for you to carry a bed.

Speaker A:

And so he answered him and said, you know, he healed me.

Speaker A:

Jesus told me, take up your bed and walk.

Speaker A:

So now they're annoyed.

Speaker A:

Now they're annoyed because this man's been free.

Speaker A:

You know the word rise?

Speaker A:

When Jesus rise, take up your bed and walk.

Speaker A:

It means.

Speaker A:

It means this.

Speaker A:

To arise, to awake from disease, death or sleep, to collect one's faculties.

Speaker A:

He was saying to this man, you need to get a grip.

Speaker A:

Get a grip of the way that you are thinking.

Speaker A:

Get a grip of that mindset and take up your bed and walk.

Speaker A:

Do something that you couldn't do before.

Speaker A:

Think like a well person.

Speaker A:

Quit thinking like an invalid.

Speaker A:

Quit thinking like a sick person.

Speaker A:

Quit allowing that disease to hold you down and think and act and do and say and move like a well person would move.

Speaker A:

Man.

Speaker A:

That's a really bold statement.

Speaker A:

Jesus wasn't holding back on this man.

Speaker A:

And then he afterwards, you know what?

Speaker A:

He.

Speaker A:

He catches up with this guy again in verse 14.

Speaker A:

I'm in John, chapter 5, verse 14.

Speaker A:

Afterwards, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, see, you have become whole.

Speaker A:

That means nothing missing, nothing broken, right?

Speaker A:

Sin no more, lest something worse comes upon you.

Speaker A:

Now, the word sin, it means to err again, right?

Speaker A:

Don't be mistaken again.

Speaker A:

Don't go back into being mistaken.

Speaker A:

He was saying to him, don't go back to your old way of thinking.

Speaker A:

Don't go back to your old way of thinking.

Speaker A:

Don't go thinking like a sick person.

Speaker A:

Don't go hanging around down by that pool anymore, laying around with the invalids, pretending you're sick and begging anymore.

Speaker A:

Don't be going doing that, because otherwise a worse thing is going to come back upon you.

Speaker A:

This is really important.

Speaker A:

We got to stop and almost have a war on thick sinking.

Speaker A:

Sick, thick sinking.

Speaker A:

I completely messed that up.

Speaker A:

Sick thinking we got.

Speaker A:

We're going to have an internal war on sick thinking.

Speaker A:

We cannot allow sick thinking because it's like talk.

Speaker A:

It's like.

Speaker A:

It's like sitting in toxic waste expecting grapefruit to grow or something, right?

Speaker A:

No, listen, you can't be in a toxic environment and expect good things to come out of that.

Speaker A:

We gotta.

Speaker A:

We gotta quit being around.

Speaker A:

Quit Allowing ourselves to be around quit allowing other people's toxicity to get into our thinking and come out of our mouth.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

Sick, man.

Speaker A:

I'm struggling with that one.

Speaker A:

Sick thinking.

Speaker A:

Sick thinking, not thick sinking sick thinking.

Speaker A:

Look, Proverbs puts it this way in 13, verse 2, hope deferred makes the heart sick.

Speaker A:

Hope deferred, but it makes a heart sick.

Speaker A:

You know, when we've been waiting for something for a long time, our belief and in the promises of God get a little bit squeezed by the pressure of the condition, just like the man, the pool.

Speaker A:

But the minute that we start believing God for something, the minute, the very minute that we're going to start, we choose to start believing God for something, we're going to have adversaries that come against our belief system.

Speaker A:

Them you're going to have symptoms.

Speaker A:

You know, oftentimes people say to me, carly, I didn't have so much problem with sickness until I started believing for healing, right?

Speaker A:

Because things, you know, the enemy rises up against it.

Speaker A:

It's true, right?

Speaker A:

But the minute that we start believing God and, and speaking his words out of our mouth is the minute we start to experience and walk in the power that those words contain.

Speaker A:

So if things are coming out of your mouth that have power, you want to make sure that they contain the right kind of power, right?

Speaker A:

Because when those words come out of your mouth, they contain the power of fulfillment.

Speaker A:

You know, this is this.

Speaker A:

Actually, I mean, I don't know.

Speaker A:

I don't have time to go there.

Speaker A:

We're gonna have to wrap this up.

Speaker A:

But the minute that the angel spoke to Mary in, in Luke chapter one and told her she was going to have a, a child and who's going to be the Messiah, you know, she said, let it be unto me.

Speaker A:

According to your word.

Speaker A:

According to your word.

Speaker A:

And then the angel said to her, let it be unto you.

Speaker A:

Let it be unto you.

Speaker A:

She, you know, blessed is she who believed.

Speaker A:

Let it be unto her a fulfillment of the things that were spoken to her by the Lord.

Speaker A:

Man.

Speaker A:

There is a fulfillment of the words that come out of your mouth.

Speaker A:

Jesus heals with faith.

Speaker A:

Faith is always the ingredient.

Speaker A:

Trust.

Speaker A:

Ever Jesus ministered, faith was the key ingredient.

Speaker A:

He also healed by speaking the word.

Speaker A:

So the spoken word, right?

Speaker A:

And we can speak the word of faith and that power goes forth.

Speaker A:

He also healed by laying hands on people and, and there's a transference of power.

Speaker A:

You can lay hands on the sick and they'll believe you.

Speaker A:

Also late.

Speaker A:

You can also receive healing by revelation.

Speaker A:

By revelation, He's.

Speaker A:

He spoke to this man.

Speaker A:

This man had to change the way that he thought.

Speaker A:

Suddenly he had a revelation.

Speaker A:

That revelation power was enough for him to receive healing from a chronic condition that he'd had for 38 years.

Speaker A:

We've just scratched the surface here in some of the ways that, that Jesus healed, but this is too important for you to brush off.

Speaker A:

If you've, if you've come up with things that you don't understand today, if you've heard scriptures that maybe you've gotten confused on, I want to encourage you.

Speaker A:

Allow the holies, take it to the Lord in prayer.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord, that you have, that you have healing available for us today.

Speaker A:

Holy Spirit, search our hearts and show us the things that are in there that shouldn't be in there.

Speaker A:

Lord, if there are, if there are belief systems, if there are strongholds, if there are just areas of.

Speaker A:

In ground unbelief, Lord, we want to, we want those things exercised.

Speaker A:

We want to get those things out.

Speaker A:

Holy Spirit, I ask that you just, just convict us and the way that you do to lead us into freedom that we might come to a full understanding and revelation of what you're trying to say to us today.

Speaker A:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord, that you're.

Speaker A:

That your power is available to, to us today.

Speaker A:

And we just, we just declare be unto us, Lord, according to your word.

Speaker A:

Psalm:

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Right now, in Jesus name we send your word, Lord.

Speaker A:

And we curse cancer.

Speaker A:

There's a lot of people on here with cancer right now.

Speaker A:

We curse cancer at the root in every single place that it finds itself.

Speaker A:

In the breast, in the kidney, in the brain, in the liver.

Speaker A:

In the bones, in the blood, in the prostate.

Speaker A:

Right now we just curse cancer at the root and we command it to leave.

Speaker A:

Somebody has a mass and it's actually blocking up their nasal capacities.

Speaker A:

It's way behind and it's blocking up their ability to breathe and even swallow.

Speaker A:

There's a mass in swelling, in the tongue as well.

Speaker A:

And that might be cancerous.

Speaker A:

Right now we just curse those, those cells that shouldn't be there.

Speaker A:

We command those cancer cells to die.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name We can.

Speaker A:

The Lord is doing something right here in someone right here from the.

Speaker A:

From the jaw all the way down through into the thyroid gland right now.

Speaker A:

We command those, those glands to function as they were created to be.

Speaker A:

Function as they were created to be.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name we command your power, Lord, your healing power.

Speaker A:

Into the throat, into the saliva glands, into the mouth, into the jawbone, into the neck and the esophagus, into the airways.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name, we command those glands, that thyroid gland to come back to life.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name thank of no obstruction, no swelling, no inflammation, no mass.

Speaker A:

We command those things to shrivel up and leave.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name.

Speaker A:

You have no authority enemy in this body.

Speaker A:

You have no authority in this body.

Speaker A:

Right now we command you out every germ, every virus, every bacteria that's trying to get in ground.

Speaker A:

Right now we get you out.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

I thank you Lord, that germs die on contact.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

The germs die whenever they come into my airspace.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

That your power on the inside of me is just greater than everything that's outside of me trying to get on the inside.

Speaker A:

Right now we command every infirmity to leave, every weakness to leave.

Speaker A:

And we speak strength.

Speaker A:

We speak life.

Speaker A:

We speak peace.

Speaker A:

We speak resurrection.

Speaker A:

Power into every muscle, into every nerve.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name, thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

We command that swelling to go down.

Speaker A:

We command those scans to come back in normal.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

For cloudiness to leave, for obscurity to go, for hearing to be turned back on again.

Speaker A:

For mental capacity to be increased.

Speaker A:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

For mental incapacity being increased.

Speaker A:

In Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

For an ability to stand.

Speaker A:

Right now somebody's been believing for an ability just to stand unaided, to stand and balance on their own two feet.

Speaker A:

Right now we command that strength back into your legs, into your knees, into your joints, into your muscles.

Speaker A:

There are some muscles that have atrophy, there's some dystonia there.

Speaker A:

Right now we command those things to Leave.

Speaker A:

And we command strength and normal range of motion in every joint in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Every joint in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Jesus.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Thank you.

Speaker A:

We believe and we're somebody.

Speaker A:

Somebody's being healed of migraine headaches.

Speaker A:

There's a pressure behind the eyes is pressing.

Speaker A:

There's a compression of the blood vessels behind the eyes and a compression of the optic nerve and there's some dizziness, like vertigo symptoms.

Speaker A:

Right now.

Speaker A:

There's a compression of a blood vessel and a nerve at the back of the eye and into the brain, even at the base of the skull.

Speaker A:

Somebody has a problem with the base of their skull and like a compression at the base of their skull where their spine kind of goes up in to their skull and their structure there, there's a compression and it gives you headaches and like a vertigo kind of symptoms.

Speaker A:

Like when you bend over right now, I command that compression to be released.

Speaker A:

Compression be released right now, right now.

Speaker A:

I feel like you need to move your jaw.

Speaker A:

Move your jaw.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

For opening up, right areas that have been compressed.

Speaker A:

Open up right now.

Speaker A:

Create space between.

Speaker A:

Open up gaps in between.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

For decompressing areas of the body, decompressing blood vessels in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

We command that cloudiness, that, that blurriness in the vision to leave and that.

Speaker A:

That headache pain to be released right now.

Speaker A:

Released right now in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Yeah, somebody's getting, you've had a pain up here from the top of your jaw up into the bottom of your ear right now, Right now.

Speaker A:

We command, we command that there on the this side.

Speaker A:

We command that there on this side right now to be healed in Jesus name, right here on this side, in Jesus name, be healed in Jesus name.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

You're so good.

Speaker A:

You know, there's allergies right now.

Speaker A:

I've even heard somebody, you've been saying, oh, it's allergy season, my allergies are getting bad.

Speaker A:

No, no, not in this house.

Speaker A:

No.

Speaker A:

Doesn't.

Speaker A:

Doesn't apply to you right now.

Speaker A:

We just say allergies don't apply to you, don't apply to your family.

Speaker A:

Hay fever doesn't apply to your family, right?

Speaker A:

Problems, reactions to pollen.

Speaker A:

Doesn't.

Speaker A:

Doesn't apply to your family.

Speaker A:

Right now.

Speaker A:

We declare war on allergic reactions.

Speaker A:

Speaker A:

Go look.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

Rise, take up your bed and walk.

That no weapon formed against me can prosper.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

You start thanking, Lord.

Speaker A:

Yes, by your stripes I was healed.

Speaker A:

I was healed.

Speaker A:

So give.

Speaker A:

Give the Lord some praise.

Speaker A:

I thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

But that I walk by faith and not by sight.

Speaker A:

I thank you Lord, that I can see like a young person.

Speaker A:

Lord, I thank you that I have great sight, that none of my bones should be broken or missing.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord, that my heart will not fail me.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord, My heart will not fail within me.

Speaker A:

Thank you Lord.

Speaker A:

Right, you start thanking God for what you already have.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

And you know what happens when you start thanking God, man?

Speaker A:

It says In Philemon verse 6, it says the acknowledgement of every your faith, the acknowledgment, every good thing that's in you is the activation of faith.

Speaker A:

That your faith becomes effective by the acknowledgment, the thankfulness of every good thing that's in you, in Christ Jesus.

Speaker A:

See, as you're thanking God right now, your faith is becoming effective.

Speaker A:

Your faith is becoming effective.

Speaker A:

Thank you, Lord.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

I believe we've got people on here that are receiving today.

Speaker A:

Check yourself, check yourself.

Speaker A:

If you see a difference, put it in the comments or call us up.

Speaker A:

-:

Speaker A:

We'll be able to share those.

Speaker A:

Maybe we'll even share some of those at the Cure next week.

Speaker A:

If you have a good testimony of something you've received here on Power Hour, send in.

Speaker A:

Maybe we'll read some out at the Cure next week.

Speaker A:

Who knows?

Speaker A:

Hopefully we're going to see a bunch of you at the Cure as well.

Speaker A:

We have a partner meet and greet that's coming up at the Cure and so if you would like to do be a part of that, if you'd like to.

Speaker A:

It's just an event that we're holding for partners, a special time where we get to meet you in a more small setting and just, just, it's just an awesome time.

Speaker A:

They're always a lot of fun.

Speaker A:

So if you'd like to be if you're thinking about becoming a partner and you're coming to the Cure, that is definitely a good option for you.

Speaker A:

And sign up before the Cure and then you'll get invited to the partner meet and greet because it is only a small group of people, so we want to make sure that you get your invitation.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

If you Let me just say this, thank you to the partners that are already on here.

Speaker A:

You are a super blessing.

Speaker A:

We have partner events that are coming up this year and webinars as well that'll be going to be Coming up, so stay tuned for those.

Speaker A:

If you have sown in, let me just say this, thank you for the people that have been sewing in to the Abundant Life Training Center.

Speaker A:

This is a massive project that we've started talking about here in our live streams that God has put in our heart and the cure, we're going to be showing some pictures of that.

Speaker A:

But God has given us a heart, has given us a mandate to build a training center in the city of Colorado Springs in Colorado and to train and equip people to send believers all over the world.

Speaker A:

Right?

Speaker A:

We're going to be sending, we'll be sending out evangelists, sending out missionaries, sending out people trained up in the word of God.

Speaker A:

And so, you know, we're going to punish the darkness.

Speaker A:

We really are.

Speaker A:

We're gonna, we're gonna send people out to punish the darkness.

Speaker A:

And so if you would like to be a part of that, please think about sewing into that training center.

Speaker A:

We're going to be able to produce a lot more television podcasts, all of our media do, all of our shipping from their hold live events and conferences and train up and equip people and send them out.

Speaker A:

We feel a burden really to, to equip believers in faith, family and finances, massive needs that are in the body of Christ today.

Speaker A:

So if you'd like to be a part of that, if you, first of all, if you have given, thank you, that's your gift is greatly appreciated.

Speaker A:

It's a big project.

Speaker A:

So 7 million is what we're believing for.

Speaker A:

But you know what, these things, this is just money, right?

Speaker A:

Nothing is impossible with God.

Speaker A:

So if you'd like to give into that, that's where your giving is going to be going today as you give.

Speaker A:

And that is going to be, you can do that.

Speaker A:

I've got a giving link on there, territories.comforward/training center.

Speaker A:

Or you can just go to the give page on our website and.

Speaker A:

But that's where your giving is going to be going today.

Speaker A:

And you know, we're going to need a whole lot more partners to get this job done.

Speaker A:

Otherwise it's gonna, it's gonna take too long and, and Jesus is coming back soon, right?

Speaker A:

So if you would like to become a partner, if you've been sitting on the fence, then make sure you get off the fence.

Speaker A:

It's not comfortable.

Speaker A:

Don't be sitting on the fence.

Speaker A:

But they put a link up there for you to become a partner today.

Speaker A:

And also you can do that over the phone as well.

Speaker A:

Yes, we are going to be coming to the UK in May 1st and the 2nd.

Speaker A:

You can register on our event page.

Speaker A:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Just go to our website, terrades.com and look for events and you'll find it there.

Speaker A:

And you can register on there.

Speaker A:

Well, that's awesome.

Speaker A:

Hope to see many of you at the Cure next week because it starts a week today and you know, we've had, I think, over a thousand people register.

Speaker A:

It's going to be a great event.

Speaker A:

I'm really looking forward to it.

Speaker A:

And hopefully we'll see as many of you as possible next time.

Speaker A:

Next time at the Cure.

Speaker A:

Amen.

Speaker A:

Well, until next time, we love you.

Speaker A:
